Dude Thanks!! I Splashed Myself a Good One!! lol Thanks
I just noticed in your sig that you are running rav recovery image, can I make the suggestion of going to cm recovery 1.4 so you have a recovery console, the image you are running is meant for a device that has no keyboard, while it has some great options, the console is what will save your ass in the future

Ur new to the android forums ?....if so, then no flaming, just make sure you read the sticky topic at top of forums. This type of thread has a specific forum section called Q/A which stands for Questions and answers.
Anyway, that thing in the picture is a recovery console. You can get it here

Well played, my friend. classiness at it's best! *applause*
The FAQ doesnt show a picture of the recovery image, thanks for answering. The Anon 1.5.2 looks like the upgrade I need. thanks!
This question belongs in Q & A, not development....
However, since Im nice....you download the latest recovery (Cyanogen 1.4 or ra-dream\sapphire 1.5.2), rename it to recovery.img, put it on your sd card, and type the following in the terminal
Code:
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img (or whatever you named the file)

The same way you flashed the Fresh ROM is how you can change to other roms, you simply put the ROM you would like to use in the root directory of your SDcard, boot into the recovery (hold down home and power) and select flash zip file. The same way goes for changing boot animations. you must flash a new bootscreen through the same process.

whatever your trying to flash is not a bootscreen then. flashing a new bootscreen is very simple. plus it on your SD card and flash it, if its not working, then the .zip you are flashing is bad.

If you have rooted your phone, flash it with ROM Manager. Some boot animation examples here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6441263&postcount=3

can i install them with fake flash ?
Not sure what fake flash is (rooted my Legend yesterday ) but I guess that fake flash is what Rom Manager does for you?
"Install it like a rom" it says on the page I linked, so I guess it should work. Remember to backup before you try funny stuff!

thanks bro
but I afraid of bricking my phone , maybe this boot animation just work on rodigezstyle Rom
I use the first one on my Legend. Got the "almost stock ROM with root access" from this forum
Just male a backup with ROM manager when You flash from SD.
If it trashes your ROM, just boot in recovery, press volume up+power, and flash update.zip. now clockwork recovery launches and you can restore.

Noob question:
I have installed Azure 1.01 on my Legend.
Can I install these boot animations on top of that, or are they complete roms - will they overwrite Azure?
Cheers.

This must mean an update swiftdroid will come soon.

It doesn't meant it lol. I has been released several days ago (about week ago).
It does mean that Mur4ik is syncing and compiling CM7 code while "on a break" - this recovery was posted on 2nd April. I'd say that's pretty positive

Sounds like you don't have fastboot. What ROM do you have flashed on your phone? Is it a stock Android version 1.6, 2.1 or do you have a custom ROM 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3? You need a custom ROM with fastboot mode enabled - an explanation of this is beyond the scope of this thread. Try this thread to flash a 2.1 ROM with fastboot enabled. Sorry to be brief but there are tutorials on flashing recovery images and this thread is really just a newsflash for a new release... HTH
I have stock rom 2.1. I did not flash anything yet exept root.

If you have a stock rom you can't flash recovery because you don't have fastboot.

You CAN flash recovery with a non-fastboot enabled ROM. Here's the tutorial:
JackG from MoDaCo said:
Yes there is, make sure you have the fastboot rom flashed and you are rooted, and download something called "flash_image" (from the attachments below) and put it in the root of your SD Card, get your recovery image in the root of the card too.
Then, download Terminal Emulator from the market when it opens press the menu button and select "Toggle Soft Keyboard" when the keyboard comes up type in
CODE
su
cd /sdcard
chmod 755 flash_image
./flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
(Change the recovery.img to the name of your recovery image eg. recovery_clockwork_2.5.1.8_swift.img or recovery_clockwork_2.5.0.5_swift.img)
Then, reboot the phone, and hold down the Menu+Power and you should be welcomed with the Clockwork menu.
