The same way you flashed the Fresh ROM is how you can change to other roms, you simply put the ROM you would like to use in the root directory of your SDcard, boot into the recovery (hold down home and power) and select flash zip file. The same way goes for changing boot animations. you must flash a new bootscreen through the same process.

whatever your trying to flash is not a bootscreen then. flashing a new bootscreen is very simple. plus it on your SD card and flash it, if its not working, then the .zip you are flashing is bad.

Not sure what fake flash is (rooted my Legend yesterday ) but I guess that fake flash is what Rom Manager does for you?
"Install it like a rom" it says on the page I linked, so I guess it should work. Remember to backup before you try funny stuff!

but I afraid of bricking my phone , maybe this boot animation just work on rodigezstyle Rom
I use the first one on my Legend. Got the "almost stock ROM with root access" from this forum
Just male a backup with ROM manager when You flash from SD.
If it trashes your ROM, just boot in recovery, press volume up+power, and flash update.zip. now clockwork recovery launches and you can restore.

Great, thanks alot for the help
im also rooting but grj22 build, what do i need to download to my sd before i unlock my boot loader?
To unlock your bootloader, you don't need anything on the sdcard. To continue with rooting, you would need to have a custom recovery on your computer and use fastboot to install it after you unlock it, then flash the zip that was mentioned above (which would need to be on the sdcard) to actually root your phone from the custom recovery.

ok col, now heres the kicker...i flashed recovery-RA-nexus-v2.1.1.img as my recovery , and im pretty sure i put cryogen 7 on the sd so i fudged it up pretty good.whats the best recovery to flash i, if had gingerbread 2.3.4 which came ota au natural? also im finding the su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip file either, anyone have a proper link to it?
If you're going to flash cm7 or ANY pre-rooted rom you do not need to bother with the su.zip. Just flash the rom from custom recovery.
i keep getting the no img wrong img message in fastboot when i try to hboot?
Fastboot is used to flash the custom recovery. The recovery flashes the rom.

So we need a bunch of informations from you.
Which Bootloader are you on
Which sd Format is it (GB or ICS)
Have you Root
Is Your Bootloader unlocked.
it is ICS i think. i have came from ICS 4.0.4 to MIUI's rom.
Yes its rooted.
Don't know whether my bootloader is unlocked or not.
When i install a new rom after performing necessary wipes and reboot, it comes back to Xiaomi logo and MIUI's rom start but its apps and processes stop every second.
The installation of new roms that i flash says success but on rebooting MIUI comes even after installing roms.
i use CWM 6.0.2.5.
Tell me what other information you want.

You must unbrick the phone, if you came form ICS you have new boot and that MIUI with new bootload and cm7 works with oldboot.

ALWAYS Check in the rom description which Bootloader is it for. Some rom´s even need to flash an own CWM Recovery File to get it work Propperly.

If you want to put cm7, you must to change bootload, and for that you must unbrick.
for unbrick followe this great senior .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715272
that will unbrick your phone, .. after you can install a stock GB via smartflash or the ics.. you choose!
good luck
Uh, unbrick? Why is all this unbrick talk going on here, he says that his phone isn't bricked, so there's no need for that.
Are you able to boot into cwm by pressing vol down while powering on the phone? If yes, just flash the desired rom if you know which bootloader you are on.
Else, if you are not sure of bootloader, use aio toolkit. Download toolkit, install nvflash drivers in that, then select option 4, and follow the process. Select old/gingerbread bootloader when asked, and cwm version of your choice. Then put a Rom in sd card and flash in recovery.

Hey Rugglez.
But the process is the same for what muditj14 wants to do, am I wrong?. I never said it was brick. What I meant was that in order to change the boot, he must pass for process of "unbrick".
Perhaps the definition of exchange boot is not being the right one by me and I apologize if that induce someone into error.

Hey mate, what you said isnt a wrong method, but I just suggested AIO toolkit method because its so much simpler and less time consuming. Ultimately, the end result may be the same, but spyrosk has made the toolkit so user friendly that even someone without knowing anything about NVFlash can easily use it. It installs the required drivers by itself with the click of a button, and shows step by step selection of which bootloader, partition size, recovery etc. to flash, and is very safe to use
So I decided to root my little brother's 510. The problem arose when it got stuck in a boot loop after installing a new rom. After much reading, I've learned that you need to have S-OFF in order to install a custom rom. (Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.) Foolishly I DID NOT back up anything. And now the phone is pretty much useless, as any rom installed does not get past the Android logo. How can I fix the calamity I've managed to get myself into?
just download the Original ROM from HTC from below link.. hxxp://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html .. yes i am too young on this forum to post links hence updated tt with xx..
connect your phone to PC.. download correct file from HTC website and run..
that will get back your phone to original state.. if nothing is physically broken.. then you should be able to start your experimentation again.. this time don;t worry about backup.. you know start again..
i am doing same since jan... lol... and still trying..

Hello MrTimeStop,
Which custom ROM(s) did you install?
On some phones it is, but S-Off is not needed on our phone to install a custom ROM.
Is your phone 32 or 64-bit? If you don't know how to find that out, let me know.
Who is your carrier?
Did you try the RUU/ROM that @Sarvesh.huddedar mentioned? If so, how did it work out for you?

Your phone is the 64 bit most likely since you're in the UK so therefore it cannot install any 32 bit roms! You can try this boot image since it's 64 bit and then after installing the boot image download your rom from the HTC website and install it but you must first install the boot image...
