I'm using Dutty's ROM version 2.5, and when I'm writing an SMS in hebrew, the recever can't read the SMS.
Anyone has a workaround?

At present, there is no Unicode support in the new Manilas (Rhodium and Topaz)

Don't type message in contact's message tab. Click contact's 'message' button to open messanging application and type there.

There is no Unicode support in the new Manilas (Rhodium and Topaz) YET. let's wait for the official release...
Then the missing UNICODE support is the answer.

the newest manila should be fine with it. I can sent Chinese SMS which is readable.

Hey, the Topez final Roms are NOT ok.
Unicode is NOT shown in manila email envelope and its not shon in PocketOutlook neither.
What can we do about this.
In PocketOutlook i can set view>language>from western european to unicode and then it shows the email alright.
If at least we could do that globally, then all email in Pocket Outlook should display fine.
The problem is , i don´t know how.

Hi! I have a problem with sms chat window in new manila contacts. I think it does not support UNICODE. If i sent SMS from standart WM sms interface in russian its ok, but if i sent sms in russian from Manila contact chat window the receiver gets "???????". is it possible to fix this? Maybe with some regestry edeting? Or there nothing can be done? Will appreciate any help.
I also got this problem when using chinese.

All latest ROMS with the final Topaz Manila are good (Duttys v2.8 & EnergyROM 1.0 etc)
i'm using dutty's v2.8 and i have no problem with sending unicode sms...
my D2 rom is Duttys Topaz WM6.5 LEO R6!
and i installed Disable HTC Messaging1.2 and ArcSoft MMS 5.2.2.37 because of the slowing htc messages!
now i could receive mms,but can't open it,only displayed sender's number with "no subject"!
what should i do?

I've cooked my own rom with manila 2.5. All works well unless the email. I receive emails but to try to answer or send an email freezes.

Specifically, I've tried to do it for Greek, using the HTC IME or the Greek IME.
Any hints/help?

Well, it works with greek characters, but the contact has to have at least one number defined as "mobile", and you have to write the exact letters (case-sensitive and accents)...
