When i play WMV on Media Player or DIVX AVI's on DIVX player, the video is shuttered, too slow, like 1-2 frames per second. I cant play movies and watch them.

i would like to play avi movies on my diamond.
i used tcpmp before, but that is a little outdated.
so 2 questions:
- is there a codecpack to play avi in mediaplayer
- if not what player are you using (free Player!!) that plays avi's
there is a similar thread, but that discusses playback speeds. i want to know which player and where to get it.
edit: tried tcpmp. this crashes.
Hello. I have a question what program is best plays MKV files (480p 720p) with subtitles because I used already many and none reproducibility not fluently. I'll add that I use htc our original system. I will be grateful for advice.

try mobo player.... its free in the market.. plays anything....
I tried, unfortunately does not play smoothly. I tried a rock player and vplayer. maybe some other suggestions
I am quite satisfied with QQPlayer, played MKVs extremely smoothly.
Try diceplayer
you can play 720p H.264 [email protected] +AC3/DTS/Flac MKV files
for me the best player for mkv(and not only) is MX Video Player.
With mx video player you can play 720p with h/w or s/w ?
MKV videos. Does the Xperia Z playback MKV videos in its native video player?
If not, if I install MX Player, would MX Player play back MKV videos?
If neither of the two above options work, and I convert a MKV video....what do I convert it to? And how will the converted quality compare to the orginal MKV file?
Thanx very much for any help/anecdotes.

1. Google (or a search on XDA) is your friend, and searching before asking is an XDA rule.
2. Another rule is "No Questions in the General section". Thread reported.
Pretty sure the Z can natively play MKV's, if not MKV's will definitely work with MX Player
It's funny how some people care more about reporting threads than actually answering the question...
Wrong section or not - yes, stock Movies app does support MKV files.

So basically I'm looking for the best possible solution here:
I have approx 20-30 movies on my tab all in mp4(mostly) used this format because I stream to my tv via apple tv now the proble is only some of these videos play on the tab so either I'm looking for a video player that can handle mp4 or a different format to utilze with apple and a corrosppnonding video player to use locally on the tab.
Players Iv tried with lil to no success
Mx player
Joe vlc
Archie(+ add-ons)
Mobo player
And various "easy mp4 players" in the market
I've attempted to move them from the sd to local memory and no affect on the outcome so I come to the brilliant minds of sds for a solution on.open to all suggestions at this point.
Plz excuse the various typos thru out post. Posting from my phone
