Running multiple midlets?

Hello,
I just got an AT&T Tilt. I want to be able to run Opera Mini and the Java GMail app at the same time, without having to close one first. I have not found a way to do this. Whenever one is running, if I try to run Java again, it just goes right to the running program.
I also followed the instructions at: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-...ed-includes-info-new-java-midlet-manager.html
This created shortcuts to both GMail and Opera Mini. However, if I run OperaMini, then run the shortcut to GMail, it just activates the already running Opera.... same effect as selecting "Java" from the start menu with one already running.
Has anyone figured out a way to run more than one midlet at a time with the Tilt?
On my 8125 (Wizard?) I was able to run multiple midlets, which I believe was the Intent version of Java.

Thanks for the link that helped me create shortcuts, the tckmax trick isn't working for me though, I still get asked about permissions on the Kaiser? Ah I see that "flexte" pointed it out over there already, must be some extra security on our little Kaiser then!

4 Questions (WifiRouter, PTT Button, Change My Docs, & HTC Brightness Icon Fix)

Hello to all. I don't expect you to know the answers to all of these questions. If you know one or more, can you please reply. I've tried to search for about a week and couldn't do it, so if ya can help me out that would be great. Greatly appreciated!
1. I downloaded WifiRouter and did everything it said, changed my IP address, ran the program, created an Adhoc network and when I connect my laptop it says it's connected, which is a success, but it my laptop doesn't have an internet connection. The whole point is to share your internet via wifi using an Adhoc connection right? It's not working for some reason. I've tried this wifirouter program in hopes that I can share internet via my wifi with my friend's laptop.
2. I need a program where I can change the PTT button on the AT&T Tilt. I want to customize the buttons on the right and left of my AT&T Tilt to open up programs. I've searched and can not find the program.
3. How the heck do I change the default folder of My Documents to something else so when I'm sending files to my phone via bluetooth it goes to my storage card or a separate folder NOT My Documents? I want to change it to my Storage Card from now on. Can't find the program.
4. Where is the brightness fix for the HTC Home? I search and found one here on xda and it crashed my phone. The brightness icon does not work and I've tried multiple HTC Home's and the brightness just won't work on my AT&T Tilt. Does anyone know a definite fix. I heard it was some dll file that I have to replace.

What can a Diamond do?

I just bought a Touch Diamond -very nice phone with a couple exceptions.
Touchflo 3d is nice but Im finding it doesnt have much depth - it needs more functions. And the loudspeaker is not very good - not loud, not clear.
Anyways, its my first windows mobile phone and had a couple questions about what WM6.1 can do. Im using Vista btw.
1. Email - Im downloading ALL my email and its fairly big. Can I force it to save only to internal storage?
2. Music - How do you get the album photo to come up while playing through Touchflo music - the picture does come up if i just play in windows media player.
3. Is it possible to add/remove multiple contacts from the People Menu ie Favourite contact
4. Most important - connectivity. Is it possible to access the phone wirelessly from PC via router? The phone connects to the router wirelessly fine and I can use the internet. But what I want to be able to do is either access the internal storage or sync up with outlook without using the usb cable.
5. What kind of BASIC phone functions does it have?
Eg. Call timer during call
Stop it going to that call history page after a call - i want it to go straight back to home.
Theres more functions it seems to be missing....
6. How do you make it so it FULLY shuts down a program when u hit the top right close button? I dont want to have to keep re-hitting the top right button to open task manager and full close it that way.
7. Lastly, is there any secret tips that a newbie wouldnt know about eg. codes to get to secret menus etc?

1. I don't think so, but I don't download email, so somebody who does may be able to help.
2. Strange problem, probably to do with the version of ID3 tags each uses. But again I have no idea how to solve it

4. Microsoft, being twats, reoved sync via Wi-Fi with the upgrade to WM2003. So, sorry mate, no way that I know
5. My dialer on my other PPC has call timer I think, but the diamond's may not, a new dialer with it included may solve the problem.
Other stuff missing?
6. Get a proper x button, like WKTask, or Wisbar, or something similar. Its also probably possible to change the settings to make it close by tapping X. I also think that with the HTC program, you can close by tap and hold, or, from today, click where the x should be, and a menu comes up enabling you to close them individually.
7. Secret codes? Not that I know of.

Yeah, 6 is definitely something that can be done in the standard Windows Mobile settings (unless they've removed the setting in 6.1, in which case a registry edit might do it).

I guess when the phone has been out for a while, a lot of registry tweaks and utils will show up around here to adress all kinds of small and big issues.

i was gona go for a diamond but look at htc touch pro. everything diamond plus hardware keyboard and memory expansion slot (minus front camera).

Found how to fully close the progam in one go - went to task manager - button - and chose "End Programs by tapping X"
Under this option is "End programs by tapping and holding X" which is the default.
I tried it and it does work but I dont like it. Coz u cant really tell how long to hold it. If u keep holding, the program actually just stays open until u release. And I guess if u release too early it wont fully close.
Anyways - thats not a huge issue - wireless sync is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone found a way to get around it?

Best you can do with WIFI is put the UNC name of your pc into the browser and bring up the shares.
If you want to sync wirelessly, you'll have to do it via bluetooth. You should be able to get a bluetooth dongle for your pc for about 20 bucks though.

OH YEAH!!!!!!!! Going through Opera to browse my PC directory - You little beauty!!!
Now, how do I set up a name for the diamond so I can see it on my PC. Is there a setting you have to enable? I browse for "PCs" and it doesnt find the diamond - just my other PCs

Few little things about my Diamond i need help with

i got my diamond from orange on sunday, so far, its great, but theres a few snags so far:
1) when i tilt the phone when viewing a webpage in opera nothing happens, and i know its supposed to turn to match the way im holding it?
2) im wanting to listen to an internet radio stream, but how do i do this? ive got the .pls file from their site, but wmp wont open it, so, what other programs can i use
3) i noticed on the tweaks thread i can stop the screen turning off when in a call, and to do that i need to enter registry values, but im not sure how to do this, can anyone help?
4) can i update the weather forecast over wifi
also, is it worth paying for the data plan with orange? im currently getting 2 months of the free weekend and evening but my 3g managed to download data yesterday morning so im already going to get charged for it

2. You can open windows media player and use Menu>> open URL....
or install Coreplayer (TCPMP) to playe all, or GSPLAYER (just for SHOUTCAST broadcasting)
3. to change registry u need registry editor, you can find it with Taskmgr program...any changes on your own risk ofcorse..

Hey is there anyway someone could make a simple program that will turn airplane mode on for a few seconds and turn it back off every half-hour while not on a phone call or a data session. Also is there a way to make this program start when the phone turns on. If anyone knows a better solution to the "Dialed: #777 Cannot connect for an unknown reason..." error, this is the only solution I can think of.

You can use the flightmode.exe and mortscript to execute it twice with a delay of few seconds. Only problem there is that you have to execute it manually,because mortscript can't run while phone is standby(as far as I know).

So I'm kinda new to this, so I really don't know what I am doing. Is there anyway you could explain how to use/install mortscript on my phone?

Copy the flightmode.exe file into \Program Files

Automatic flightmode off/wait 30s/on you can start by executing the file autofm.mscr.
Then you can create a shortcut into programs menu etc...

Is there a way to make this script run every half hour thoughout the day?
