How to turn off the sound when composing phone number? - Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development

After flashing with the newest ENERGYRom Leo made by NRGZ , I wonder how to turn off the sound when composing phone number? I look at base register but I don't know where ...
Thanks.

This forum is specifically for rom development, radio's etc. If you have a query regarding a certain rom, your query should be posted within that rom thread. You are more likely to get an accurate response from people using same rom. If everyone created a new thread each time they had a query, this forum would become too cluttered.

Time incorrect / wrong after updating cooked ROM

Hey guys!
I did do a search and found one thread sort of answering the question but I'm not sure it was resolved:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397319&highlight=wrong+time
What I am intersted in is that the time become updated with the cell phone provider not some global time server. Which application should I look for to get this functionality? Is Synchrotime what everyone else uses?
I've updated the ROM with Dutty's Diamond V1.
Thanks!

Where are you located and what time are you using. I am in the USA and use Dutty's hybrid v2 I have to use the visiting cities time as my default to get the right location and time.

Problem with sms'ing in Topaz based ROMs

Hey there!
Since i havent got answers in the threads of the ROMs, I thought maybe through my own thread i could find people experiencing similar issues.
my problem is as follows:
when i click on a sms directly out of manila so the contact tab pops up with my threaded messages, i can type and everything but everytime i'm clicking send it won't..
The only thing it does is to display a new message in my inbox which is empty. no sender, no text etc.
Sms'ing works nice when responding via the Inbox, but you know, that's 2 more clicks.. ;-)
this happens only with the Topaz based contact tab!
thx for reading and im looking forward to some help!
best greetings
hmm...seems like it's no common problem...what a shame =(
I think you will find if you read the threads (duttys 3.7 is a good one) that the sms issue is based on maila and not the rom, also that it has something to due with the unicode sorting.
To verify if the Topaz roms doi in fact have an issue I would think the Tpoaz section of our site would be a better choice.
We also have other topics on SMS issues in this section.
Please don't bump your own thread.
First: Thanks for responding!
The strange thing is that, after i flashed a new rom, the first few sms are handled normally, even through this contact-form. But after a while, like say first soft reset or so, it wont work again. Even though my settings are completely the same...
I'll try to check out the Topaz section and try to find a solution..
solved. sms bug is fixed with manila 2.1 (f.e. in duttys 3.7)
thank you very much dutty at this point ;-)

Any roms avaliable with the 63022 build of win 6.5

I'm intretsed in seeing how this looks with the close buttons moved to the bottom etc
wondered if anyone has cooked anything yet?
bugger .. should have been in the roms forum .. sorry guys
Miri has a test rom with the close buttons etc at the bottom. Not stable enough for daily use but lets you know what it's like.
MOD EDIT
Moved to rom development
I am on 23036. I really like it. Unfortunately manilla doesn't work.
If you open each rom thread or read title of most it will state what build it is based on. Search would be the answer to your query

NOOBIE: trying to figure out my first ROM Flash

Can someone point me to the propper place to find a 'safe' version of WM 6.5 to flash? I'm pretty comfortable with the instructions in the sticky, on this forum, but I don't know the difference between an 'officia'l and 'cooked' version of the 6.5 ROM. I'm just tired of the 6.1s un-user freindliness and really want to install WM 6.5.
Any tips for a first timer would be greatly appreciated also!
Thanks!
Official is a stock ROM , normally direct from HTC.
Cooked is something that was created and usually tweaked by a Chef.
Try a stock ROM , the more on to something like NRG's or Pro Cell and compare. See what works for you.
and read all the posts.
tmo
if you are on tmobile i suggest chrisgrundys timor rom, as it is by far the best set up for tmobile. tmobiles keys are different, and mms doesnt work without messing with it on most any other rom.
we tmobile people somehow always are the last ones to get things like OS upgrades...
and tips, flash from SD
Thanks to all who have commented, thus far. Yes, I am on T-mobile, so all tips with them in mind, would be greatly appreciated.
I am reading as many posts as I can, and am learning quite quickly...thanks again to all.
One more question: when someone speaks of a 'radio' in posts here, does that refer to the hardware on a cell phone that allows it to communicate with the towers?

In general "radio" sometimes refers to any wireless function -- WiFi, cell-connection, maybe even the FM radio.
If they're saying something like "ATT and T-MobileUSA have different radios" they're talking about hardware -- radio frequency/bands are set by hardware.
If they're talking about "flashing a new radio" or "what radio is best for me" they're talking about radio-rom software, found here:
[Resources] Rhodium Radio Collection Thread
Official Radios are "Shipped Exes". The file name will be an exe and have the word "ship" in them. Most can be found in itje's sticky or on the HTC Rhodium wiki page.
Any more flashing problems / questions, please post in the flashing guide by mskip.
Thanks,
Dave

HTC Messaging

I've just flashed the latest Energy ROM onto my phone from one that was about 6 months old. All is good apart from one thing - HTC Messaging.
Seems to be a common complaint that a lot of people don't like this, but I haven't found a solution.
In the old Energy ROM I was able to run a cab that disabled HTC Messaging, but that doesn't seem to work with this version.
Can it be disabled? Oddly, at the top of the thread NRGZ28 states that HTC messaging is turned off for speed???
Can anyone help please??
Since NRG has a thread the best thing to do would ask in the thread.. I'm sure NRG or one of the many other users would be able to help.
Anyway not ROM Development thread closed.
