Bluetooth/car stereo: Vario3 connects but car immediately says "dialling" - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I have a stock T-Mobile Vario-3 from first release, no ROM updates, and I have an odd problem when connecting it to my car stereo via Bluetooth. Initially I thought it was a bug with my Pioneer head unit, but I've just got a new car and it's doing the same thing with the Renault factory-fitted unit.
When the (already paired) phone auto-connects via bluetooth, the car stereo reports that it is dialling the last number - although the phone does not actually dial, and the phone itself continues to work normally as if it is not connected.
If I reboot the Vario the problem seems to go away until after I have made another phone call, and then the problem returns again. On the old Pioneer head unit I could just cancel the 'phantom call' by selecting back to the radio or CD input, but on the new Renault the only control keys that work are volume, so I have to disconnect and reset the phone again to get it to connect correctly.
Once I get past this glitch, everything works perfectly - good stereo audio output for my MP3s with playback-control via the car's buttons, hands-free phone use, accessing the phone's Contacts directory via the car controls, etc.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know of a proper fix?
Or maybe someone is telling me that I really do need to get a Touch Pro 2....

Bluetooth reconnection problem.

I've got an annoying problem with Bluetooth on my Kaiser. I'm currently using Motorola S9 headphones, I paired them with Kaiser for the first time and everything was working perfectly but whenever I turn Bluetooth on my phone off or pair the headphones to another device I cannot connect to tytn again. I have to delete partnership with headphones on TYTNII and then pair them again to be able to use the headphones. Everything is all right when I turn off the headphones and then turn them on again...connection is established automatically. The problem occurs only when Bluetooth on tytn was turned off or the headphones were used with another device. Is there a solution to this problem?
I've had some BT connecton problems too. I have the SonyDR-BT21Gs and if I pair them with something else, the only way I can get them to connect again is to initiate a phone call. Not sure why, but once the Hands Free protocol connects, the Wireless Stereo protocol also starts working. May or may not help you, though. FWIW, I also have the S9s and have had no problems with them, but I use them only with the phone while working out, so they may fall suffer under the same scenario as I described for the Sonys

Bluetooth set as authorised

I have managed to successfully connect the HTC to my kenwood car phone (which I believe is a parrot hands free kit). The problem is that whenever I get into the car and the unit starts, the HTC does NOT automatically connect to the Kenwood.
I have to manually initiate teh connection by going into the bluetooth settings on the phone and tapping on the kenwood device. On my nokia handset, once a device is set to authorised it connects automatically the moment it's in range. Is this feature available on the HTC?
Connects automatically to my Jabra hands free car speaker..
No problems here
Although, it does say in the bluetooth menu ' To connect - tap on device name '
hmmm
I`m having a problem with my Honda Accord handsfree system. The phone connects automatically but when someone calls me the system reacts and I can press the answer button but I can`t hear the person at the other end and he/she can`t hear me. Like you I didn`t have a problem with my Nokia. But mine does connect automatically just can`t hear anyone, must be a compatibility problem.

N1 Parrot CK3200LS

I've got the N1 for a few days , but there's a problem when i pair the N1 with the Parrot 3200LS carkit.
When the N1 call's out then the audio is still on the phone and not on the parrot.
When i push the bluetooth button (in the caller screen ) sometimes de voice from the other side goes to the parrot but the mic from the parrot isn't working so when is speak to the other side the don't understand me because it's verry low.
When i look in the settings from bluetooth and the parrot carkit is says that the profile is : sound from the N1 (or something that way)
Is there maybe a workaround to fix this ?
Have you tried to flash the Parrot 3200 with the latest firmware. All I done with mine was to delete all previous connections (through the Parrot) and just went through the normal settings of pairing a new phone, didn't need to change any settings on Nexus at all.
Out of curiosity, did you add Parrot to paired devices on Nexus, as I made a mistake when I first got the car kit by accepting the Car Kit instead of Parrot.

Bluetooth car kit dialing does not work

I have a Dension Gateway Five Bluetooth car kit and it is working perfectly with other devices (HTC HD2 Android, HTC Sensation, Samsung S3).
With the RAZR i I can use it to pick up calls just fine but I cannot use the phonebook to dial out. I can also use the phone to dial out just fine.
But when I dial from my car stereo/BT it seems that it does not dial, but when I look in the call history I would see a call with a duration of 0 seconds. So it is dialing.....
I have even completely reset the car kit.
I have seen there is another thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051863) about BT but it seems to be regarding a different issue and I cannot try the tool as I cannot root my device.
Any ideas anyone or same behaviour?
Regards,
KalleH
I have the same issue.
I have a Ford car and I connect my Razr I to my Ford car stereo via bluetooth. Before JB OTA update (I got it last week), Bluetooth was ok : I was able to manage my Razr I from the keypad of the Ford car stereo (dial, answer call, ...)
Since JB update, when I am trying to dial, it does not work if the screen is locked. However, if the screen is unlocked, I am able to use the phone from car stereo.
Even if the setting "Parameters -> Security & screen lock -> Allow Bluetooth bypass" is ON, it does not work ...
I eventually found how to get bluetooth working on my car stereo.
I just delete the pairing (in the car stereo and in the Razr I) and I did a new bluetooth pairing between my car and my Razr I.
All works fine now.

Car stereo hijacks bluetooth media connection

I have a Pioneer car stereo with built in Parrot bluetooth and media connection. I had this issue with my previous phone so it must be either an Android issue or problem with my car stereo bluetooth. Every time I connect bluetooth to the car stereo the phone enables media connectivity and I have to manually go in and turn it off again. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off again as it says it's connected even though it isn't (tick box is ticked but if I untick it it connects and I have to untick it again and OK it to verify). Also if I disconnect it then cycle through the sources on the car stereo as soon as I get to bluetooth it enables it again.
I don't want it on because I want to hear media audio through the phone speakers and phone calls through the car stereo.
Android 4.1.2 at present.

I think the answer lies in the question here,, Parrot Bluetooth Media Connection.
The stereo isn't 'smart' enough to determine that what is connecting to it is a Phone/MP3 and as such you wont be able to split the audio to have the phone play music and the Stereo take calls, it'll end up being one over the other.
One way around this would be to test with a completely different Bluetooth Headset to see if this allows music to be played on the Device and Calls to come through on the Headset,, failing that its going to have to be a potential dev jobby to split how the device sends its audio and to what specific device,,, if that lies with HTC and Android/Us or Pioneer/Parrot themselves,, might be worth asking whats the official standpoint on this with the Manufacturer and see if they are getting this same issue from multiple folks

I have the same problem with my HTC One across four different ROMs, two GE and two Sense.
It's NOT an issue with my car stereo (uConnect system) as it works flawlessly on my Nexus 7 and VZW Galaxy Nexus. I prefer to have media (music, Ingress etc...) play over the phone. Only thing I want to play over the uConnect is the actual phone. No matter how many times I unselect media in the bluetooth settings it selects it again.
I see this is an old thread, anyone have any ideas?
Nope. It does not always do it though. I found that if I leave bluetooth on it seems to be OK just as long as I don't switch through from aux to radio to CD and back to USB again on the Pioneer. If I use the automatic bluetooth app to save battery it connects but then connects with the media option enabled. Bummer.

I've just installed Bluetooth Auto Connect have to go run some errands in a little while, I'll let you know if it helps out managing profiles or not.
If it works let me know what settings you used as I don't understand all the options lol.
bluetooth problem
Hi developers: Thanks Team Venom for a great ROM. I have only one problem. Rom 2.7 no problem with Bluetooth in the car. 3.1 Installation of clean and dirty disables bluetooth. Ten seconds connected and then disconnected. Again, connects and disconnects. So it all over again. It is in version 3.6 ... any change BT software? You can install the software separately BT? Or any other advice? Thank you very much
edit: I deleted the original settings in the car. Again the connection and still the same problem.
