Hi,
I bought a tytn2 through ebay. It was simlocked to '3' UK. I had no problem using the phone with my '3' simcard. Then i wanted to use the phone with other carriers. I used the unlocking software posted by pof and i unlocked it successfully. But when i put in other simcards, the phone says no service. This includes the '3' sim that initailly worked. After some investigation, I found that the tytn2 imei had been changed to 35519500000001701 (apparently blacklisted in UK), which is different from the one when I bought the phone. When i search the imei online, this is the only reported case, but no solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374311
Can someone help? I want to restore the phone to its original imei. Hoping to save 10 pounds unlocking fees, I lost 200 pounds.
This has been happening a lot it seems, and so far I don't think anyone has a cure.
There is still no solution after so many years?
I think we should warn others about unlocking the phone with softwares as it is not worth saving a few dollars unlocking fees and risk damaging such an expensive phone.
I emailed HTC and they said they do not offer service for phones not sold by them. Instead they asked me to contact the network operator who sold the phone. I went to the network operator and they said the repair is likely to cost the same as a new phone.

My second hand Kaiser has stopped working after approx 1 month with the above error with an O2 simcard. It still works with a TMob and Voda sim card (I dont ahve an Orange one to try) Ive tried using the unocker on here with no success, Ive done a hard reset which hasnt worked. Can anyone please give me some tips.
I know Ive not given a lot of info to go on but if you need any technical info (and you can tell me where to find it lol) I'll gladly give it to you.
Any help would be much appreciated guys
Check this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501675
Is it the same problem?
Its not the same I dont think as it works fine with the PAYG Orange and Tmobile sims I have........ I've no idea, unfortunately due to O2 being on contract and having the unimited web option and signal issues i really need it to work on o2
Any help would be much appreciated
Ive got to the bottom of this. apparently the phone has been listed as lost/stolen which is apparently quite common. People sell their contract handsets and then claim on their insurance for a new one. rendering the person who bought the 2nd hand phones phone useless!!
Fortunately I paid by paypal and am covered and have just got the refund through today.
So if you see "phone not allowed MM#6" it means the IMEI has been blocked as its listed as lost/stolen
Thanks
Very helpfull informations, thank u very much, but the question is, is this IMEI barring true worldwide or only nationally in the country of the carrier who restricted the IMEI?
So, I bought a Milestone from a person. The phone is locked on Orange RO.
I took it to a Orange Service and they told me to give them the insurance (or how it is called in english) for the phone. As I bought the phone from someone, he only gave me the phone, a usb cable and a 2GB Micro-SD. Again, brought it to a unlocking service. They kept the phone for 3 days and they called me and told me that the phone cannot be unlocked. They also said that the unlocking software is not currently available, it will be released no-body-knows-when. The phone is completely useless to me, as I am on Vodafone RO.
Is there anything I can do? Is there a way I can possibly unlock it from the phone's system? I will do anything to unlock it, don't even care if I break the phone.
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Find some online unlock code sellers, or find on eBay.
Randomly search this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNLOCK-CODE...620683?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c2047308b
There are some cheaper codes. I unlocked mine for 4.99.
I ordered about 7 codes, none worked. Well, I bought a orange prepay card.

First thing. Where did you buy your Note from?
BTW can you try to clean the SIM card by erasing it? Sounds like your SIM card or the radio is having a problem though.
i have try many different sim card and i buy that note in ebay germany.im live in finland!
have you tried using the phone in another area? the local mast may be over subscribed or faulty.
have you tried removing the microsd card. i found when my sd card was faulty or apps having problems then sometimes my signal was flaky as well and signal would come on and go off in a flash. deleting and reloading apps made no difference. now have new microsd card since yesterday and no issues since then even though have most of the old apps back.
try changing sim card to see if sim card is faulty.
try setting the phone to wcdma only or gsm only or gsm auto prl only via settings or codes to see if its flaky signal causing probs.
dont you have a receipt for purchase to prove purchase date and source of purchase. isnt that enough to prove phone is under warranty..
i just read my warranty card which came with the phone. it says ...
on page 1. customer signature and delaer stamp and signature! mine came from amazon.de and does not hace any amazon stamp or signature. but i do have a receipt from amazon by email. guess they wont open the box for stamping warraty card as box says seal should be intact when customer gets phone in the box. so warranty card cant actually be signed for internet sales as seal will have to be broken on the box.
also says warranty is only valid when card properly completed and upon presentation of roof of purchase consisting of original invoice or sales slip indicating date of purchase, dealers name, model, serial number, and product number.
write to samsung with copy of your invoice and see if they will accept that as proof of purchase even though warranty card is missing.
in the UK the sale of goods acts gives additional benefits for six years apart from guarantee. see if there is anything similar in your country to see if they can do the warranty service / repair / replacement if needed. best of luck

What does the warranty carard specifically state?
From Samsung UK's website:
Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd support a product purchased in Europe if it has an EU Bloc Warranty. This warranty is present where the top of the product warranty card clearly states 'European Bloc'. If the product is purchased in another part of the globe then Samsung may attempt a repair. Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd cannot guarantee the outcome.

Does it say EU Bloc Warranty? If so, I guess you should be ok.

Dave
I phoned Samsung UK before I brought my Note from Amazon Germany. The Samsung rep said all Note brought and used in EU have 2 years warranty.
Samsung should be able to identify your phone by its IMEI and/or serial number under the battery and on the side of the box. I don't see the point of warranty card, your Note can't be more than 4 months old.
Through it and get a new one~~~~ai^^^^^
surely you will have samsung centres in your country. try contacting them in writing if they refuse over the phone or when you go there.
my warranty card says you can take it to any authorised dealer or service centre in any EC country.
mine was from germany as well (amazon.de) so yours should have come with the same conditions. so contact amazon if you bought it from amazon. or your local samsung service centre.
If it was new your ebay seller's bill is proof of purchase and acts as a warranty.
Present that to Samsung.
If it wasn't new ask the ebay seller for the purchase receipt or bill or at least a copy of it.
Have u try put your sim in others phone? Most probabily your sim is problem..

Hey hows everyone? I bought a phone about 2 months ago, it was working fine last night. When i woked up it dndt had service I called t mobile from my mothers phone and they said that the phone has been blocked or blacklisted. I think if im not wrong there is a way to fix this. Anyone please?
Well if the phone had been blacklisted BY T-MOBILE I could only assume you can't get service on that phone assuming it's something they've done on their end... I may be wrong but if a carrier is blacklisting your device and thus you are no longer getting service it is something being done on their end to block your service.
Same thing happened to me. Bought a second hand Nexus 4, used it for 3 months, then it stops. It was on a delinquent T-Mobile plan. I called them up & they said all I could due was contact the original owner. Sorry for your luck. That is what I hate about t-mobile.
I'm pretty sure you can use the phone on AT&T, but this why it's important to check the imei with the carrier before buying a used phone. You bought a stolen phone, either stolen from T-Mobile or a person and all the carriers respond to that by blacklisting the device. There's nothing to be done though beyond appealing to the original owner, even if you offer to pay what the other person owes.
Unfortunately, checking the imei isn't enough. The Nexus I had had a clean imei. The original owner quit paying on the phone 3 months later. It is a problem with T-Mobiles device payment plan. All other carriers require a phone to be fully payed off before removing from your account, except T-Mobile.
If you are technically inclined you could "swap" an imei from another phone but this practice can be illegal in many many ways, there are legal ways to do it but you have to be careful. Otherwise the blacklist is now a collaboration between the major cell carriers in the US aka the big 4, so it is not likely your phone will work on any carrier in the states. Probably the best you can hope hope for is to flip it to someone at a discount who wants it as a wifi only device or to someone who can use it for parts, or you could lie like the other guy did and not tell someone its blacklisted, although this too is immoral and possibly illegal.
just go on ebay, there's a few people you can pay on there to remove the blacklist.

he has mail in service as well as remote service.
i have used him in the past with great success.
he is located in northern new jersey
That sucks.

I bought Galaxy S8 on Ebay. It turned out that he was on the blacklist. Is there any solution for unlocking the SIM card. I'm outside the US ...
IMEI repair.
IMEI repair is not even an option for this model, because it need the device to be ROOTED. However, there is another option you can try. I never try this my self, you should try IMEI cleaning service, it's not like imei repair, it just remove the blockage, and you still be able to have the original IMEI ( i don't think you can use it on the same carrier). Word of advise, never buy new release carrier phone on ebay, mostly because of scam like that.

Will device unlock app work when imei is cleaned or whitelisted or repaired? Do you have specific knowledge on this issue? Sim unlock on Tmobile has been a pain since like 2 months ago. Nobody able to offer service again except Tmobile.

I was worse off, I bought the device from a user that was unlocked from T-mobile. Assumed unlocked = bills paid (yeah I know, stupid me). Worked for a little bit on AT&T and then the phone notified me that it was only a temporary unlock (didn't even know this existed), relocked itself, and also was blacklisted (on T-mobile). There's a service here that seems to have good reviews but of course a little to rich for me right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Mobile-Un...446916?hash=item41ca551184:g:gLoAAOSw8GtZOww8

S8 T-Mobile blacklisted
So, did anybody found the way to unlock the Samsung s8 tmobile blacklisted??? :crying:
So T-mobiles policy is if the phone is not paid off an account goes past due - gets canceled not paid or reported lost or stolen or if not traded back in from warranty or insurance then it is blacklisted..... just so everyone is aware. If that phone is blacklisted it is likely one of those things I would like to point out eBay has buyer protection in place for that you can contact them if the seller doesn't rectify it firs. Also to the people suggesting IMEI Repair for no nefarious purpose, of course, you would likely need a bootloader unlock and proper root to even do that.
do a search on the web for R-SIM 11
I know it can unlocked blacklisted iphones, not sure it is works on android devices
Blacklisted
Does anyone know what function needs to be turned off for the blacklist to be undone, i have found the phone code that gets me into that part of the phone i just dont know what part i need to turn off to undo the block anyone know that by chance.
unlock s8
hi,
i bought an s8 from ebay, it was at first working w/ mint (which runs on t-mobile) but when i took it outside of the US, it wouldn't work. i contacted T-Force & was told that the imei was clean but needed to talk to accounting or some other dept to see if it had a balance to be paid or something which didn't make any sense to me.
if anyone has encountered this situation please let me know how to resolve it, i tried changing the rom but it didn't work.
