These are the frequencies of the supported networks, not the CPU frequency.
Cellular_Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS2100
with friendly greet
starbase64
to elaborate on what was said above, those frequencies pertain to your radio which is hardware dependent. You cannot change them in any way on the HD.
Model T8282 is 900 mhz
Model T8285 is 850 mhz
Unfortunately it is hardware dependent and cannot be changed. You might however find some users who purchased the T8282 by mistake and wish to swap with you... I know many users were upset that 3G wouldn't work on their phones due to the frequency... Just a suggestion...

its werid im looking at the model no its saying T8282 is the 900/2100 model ur saying but it goes on 3g telstra 850mhz but not 3g optus or vodafone 900mhz unless im reading ur post wrong or something i flash it to get rid of telstra junk unless i did something wrong
if you have the telstra version, I agree, my pc recognises the phone as a t8282, but it is the t8285 as the 3g is working in my 850MHz band freq.
oh ok so the info in start/ settings/system/device information/identity in the phone is normal

You can change the band in Comm Manager. There is a tab called Band.
And only assuming you bought the appropriate device, since if you bought the European device, then you do not have the 850 support.

Which country's running 850 mhz ... I thought that band was reserved for GSM-R (GSM Rail private network) - Or at least it is in the UK !.
I believe some countries in south america uses the 850band, and the US. It is wise to read the specs when you buy a phone. the current diamonds (european, asian) do not support 850. It would have been a quad-band band phone, not a tri-band if that was the case. There will probably be a US-version, but afaik it's not available as of now. sorry.
Im from South America, I thuoght that in my country works the 900 mhz, but only works with the 850mhz. I dont know what to do, i suppose i have to sell it on ebay cause nobody has a solution. thansk anyway
Why dont you return it to where you bought it from??...i dont know the laws of your country but if you have only had it a few days then you should be entitled to a refund as the phone is not suitable for you.

Try to flash the radio 1.00.25.05 or 1.00.25.06. I tested this two radio with VIVO Brazil that transmit on 850MHz and is working well.

Thanks my friend, im going to try it!!! I'll let you know what happens!!!
It didt work my friend, cause my phone is a Tri-Band phone, yours maybe is a Quad-Band phone. that radio is only fot Quad-Band phones.

You have a touch diamond, right? I have it too and also if on HTC site is wrote that diamond is tri band, with radio 1.00.25.05 and radio 1.00.25.06 is actually working as quad band GSM.
Check this post, the guy tested the quad band rom with a professional communication tester:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2413582&postcount=122
You have flashed the .05 radio? What carrier are you using?
im from colombia
i'm from colombia and i install the radio rom 25.05 and now is working in 850
before i installed the signal sucks with the 25.03... but now is better than never before.
i think that your need to reflash the 25.05 radio rom
Im going to try again my friend!!!!! My carrier is Movistar.
I would let you know what happens!!!!
thank you very much, i appreciatte your concern about my problem, thanks my friend!!!
it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks my friend i really appreciatte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you rule!!!!
Hello everyone.. I'm also from Colombia and I want to give you all information about what i did in order to solve the issue of the 850mHz.
I flashed HardSPL and ROM for Radio as indicated in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 (As many people I'm using HardSPL 1.40.OliNex
and Radio 1.00.25.05 )
I also flashed a cooked ROM from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2405336&postcount=1
I did all that yesterday so I havent been able to test signal outside from Bogota, but improvement on the device and the signal reception is obvious. I also did the test of dialing *#*#364#*#* on the key pad of the phone and I saw that the phone was working on the 850mHz frequency.
I have tested the device with two different carriers... Movistar and Comcel withouyt any problem. I was hoping with Comcel to get 3G signal (due to activation of 850mHz frequency) but still does not work. Some say that is imposible due to hardware issues, some other people says that Hardware in Diamond is capable of 3G US standard.... LETS SEE!!! HOPEFULLY SOME OF THE GURUS ARE WORKING ON THIS ISSUE.
It works in Mexico
Hello there.
Hell i bought mine directly from HTC, it was shipped with a spanish ROM 1.93 and radio .05. As soon as I inserted my GSM chip it worked with no problem. We are still waiting that some Dev found the key to allow our first gen diamond to work with 3G. Because imported phone onl ywork with 3.5G at 900mhz
My friend has a unbranded X1, but don't know if can be compatible for the 3G network in Canada or USA? Anyone knows? Or North American ROM needs to be flashed on to enable 3G compatibility with the Carriers in North American??
Thanks in advance for any inputs

This is a very vexed issue. Please read the thread on 850Mhz 3G connection.
The short answer is:
1) "unbranded X1" is irrelevant. Use Start>Settings>System>Device ID to find the actual device version, ie. X1i or X1a
2) if your friend is lucky and the Device ID is X1a, then the device is capable of connection to the US/Aus/S America/S Africa 850Mhz 3G band
3) if the Device ID is X1i, then no such luck. This is a hardware issue, not firmware
Both will connect to the 2100Mhz UMTS band which is commonly used in cities, so if your friend never ventures outside cities the X1i should work OK for 3G
I have a question on this, when SE 1st released info about X1, they mentioned that it's Quand band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS/3G 850, 900, 1900, 2100. Why when they released it, they had to make 2 versions to support different networks? I think that this is stupid, they can do that for branded phones but not for SE unbraded phones, exactly like HTC and the HD, Diamond and Pro. We pay a lot of money for these for so at least give us full functionality... especially that these phones are more of business phones, so it's expected that people travel with these phones....or am i wrong about that?
thanks
I have an X1i in the US an it works flawless on the AT&T network with 3G (inc. HSDPA!!!)

You answer is HERE (google search, first link displayed for "wikipedia rogers 3G": the band has always been there waiting for you to read it under "Services": Rogers 3G 850MHz) so you need the X1a, the X1i won't pick that band
Sorry to bother but this has been posted before (read and search before asking)

Nobody in the US uses 2100MHz, AFAIK, and I'm pretty sure Canada follows the same frequencies.
1900, on the other hand, is supported by the X1i, which is used by AT&T, Rogers, and Bell.
The downside is that if you're unfortunate enough to use T-Mobile, the network uses 850MHz only, and you're stuck with EDGE.
man guy this is too simple to find and you open a thread for this??!!??!?! STOP CLOGGING THE FORUMS!!!!!
Someone at my workplace is selling me his galaxy s but the model is not i9000 , its i9000l , i really wanted to buy the i9000 because thats the model most roms are build for , my provider uses 850/1900 MHz for 3g , does the original i9000 has support for 850/1900 MHz or do i have to buy the i9000l?
The international version doesn´t support 850 but it does support 1900.

Hi,
I know that the HTC HD7S is the AT&T version of the HD7 and I believe that it is a T9295.
If you can see a picture of the device it will have the AT&T logo in the top right hand corner of the device and under the kickstand is yellow.
I have the T-Mobile version HD7 and when I flashed a custom rom on the device it became the T9292.
I think the T9296 is the Telstra HD7 model.
There's no such contradictions...

Except for the AT&T HD7S or T9295 (Black case)
ALL the HD7 in the world are T9292 (Gray case)
The difference inside is only with the LCD screen:
T9292 is LCD (TFT)
T9295 is SLCD (more power efficient and has slightly more bright)
The rest on the phone is the same.
The HD7S only supports 1900MHz 3G!

Can you explain how can I have 3G with a carrier that uses GSM850? if "only support 1900MHz"
What do you think it mean the term "Quad Band"?
Answer:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100, HSDPA 850 / 1900 or HSDPA 850 / 2100
Don't talk about a phone if you don't really know it at all, if the carriers in your country don't support a frequency, that doesn't make it a "world standard" for all carriers...

1.) the LTE Frequencies vary from country to country...
From HTC:
EU: 800/1800/2600 MHz
US (AT&T): 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz
US (TMO): 700/AWS MHz
US (Sprint): 1900 MHz

Now comes the great news.. as far as I know Rogers uses 2600 MHz . so EU Version from the UK WILL work!

the one that available now, only has one band that matches rogers LTE band :2600
as far as i know and read from XperiaZ forum, (c6603 XperiaZ has almost same LTE band as ONE)
no one are able to get LTE.
