someone got isecretary 4.6 working on htc diamond touch? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi,
Is here allready someone who got isecretary working well on the diamond touch as an answering machine?
i cant get it working right.
it records the incoming calls, but also put it over the speaker. when i bring the speaker volume down, i dont hear my welcome record at the other phone... so is here someone who get it working like you record a welcome message, when someone calls you, isecretary picks up the call, plays your welcome message ONLY to the caller, and then records the callers message, without playing it over the speaker? if so, how did you do that?
much thanks,
Bart

Did you get this working?

hi,
i still dont get it working wel on my diamond... the site is allready offline for a wile. the file of the latest version is online at:
http://www.freeware4mobile.com/Software/Windows_mobile/Phone/iSecretary/iSecretary4_6.cab
first i was able to get it answering and recording, but it played it over my speaker, but this time i tried it again, he even doesnt pick it up... but at the internet a saw positive storys about it...
would be nice if anyone had good experiences with it... or if the developer would go on with the program ...

allready some who get this working OR got an other program?

In Utopia, this software would do the following
1) Intercept an incoming call
2) Tap into the mic system and playback a predesignated audio file such that no one else but the caller can hear it
3) After the message has played, it then taps into the ear piece system and records the caller's message. Again, no one else but the phone can hear this.
4) Provide you a notification for the message you have received.
In reality, this is not possible. Here's why
1) Telecom providers would lose a pretty significant amount of money that they charge you for voicemail services.
2) I'm pretty sure that the above reason is why a lot of hardware manufacturers don't allow intejcting an audio stream into the mic system.
This is why you never get the result you want with all the "phone answering machine" software out there.
The way these programs work is they turn on your speakerphone and play the message loud so that the mic can pick it up and your caller hears the message.
In the same way, when the caller talks back it plays it loud and the mic again picks up the sound and records it.

Record the onCall conversation.

Hi,
Yesterday I have seen an excellent piece of software on my friend’s Nokia phone. It is about to save the conversation.
If you are in the middle of a call or initiating a call, that software prompts you that “Do you want to save the conversation”, [YES/NO]. if "yes" it saves the audio file in the memory card. I am very impressed with it.
Guys do you know whether we have this type of software for our new WM6 device, I am using HTC TYTN II.
Thanks for the help.
Voice call's can't be recorded. Harware Issue !
Resco Audio Recorder
Not quite correct. The above product works pretty well. Land line calls seem to record better than cell calls. Volume is less from receiver end but still audible. MP.

Doesnt work...
Call recording softwares won't work because the OS doesn't have access to what's being sent to the phone speaker.
I don't know, however, if that would be possible using a wired/BT headset.
good is maybe LIVEPVR
I used program LIVEPVR but only on eten M600+, mio M500 and works ok(when I set microphone correctly).
On Kaiser I will use also but I must again buy this product because upgrade is no free for old user. On handango it's cost only £6.49 .
I used this soft about two year and I record a lot of phone call.
This has been discussed several times before. The only way you can record both parties in a phone call on the Kaiser is to have the phone in speakerphone mode so that the microphone can pick up the sound. This is true with almost all of HTC's PPC phones. One of the few that can do it is the HTC Athena. Buy it if you have plenty of money to burn and are willing to take the risk of becoming the laughing stock of your neighborhood walking around with that brick pressed to your head...
Yup, no flawless recording on the Kaiser, sorry.
Also see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Audio and call recording, answering machines for mor einfo on this subject.
What if you are using a wired/BT headset? Software can control what passes through to the headphones right? Has it been tried already?
Ive never been able to record calls with resco voice recorder on the kaiser either. It works fine on my wizard though. on the kaiser it doesnt even create a call folder while on the wizard I had a call folder with all incoming and outgoing calls.
Not that I need this function, but WOW my old treo 650 that is collecting dust can do this.
updates?
any changes on this?
Yes, there's a solution on it's way...

Good Conversation Recorder for HTC Phones??

Hi
Have been using Resco Audio recorder and Vito Audio Notes to record phone conversation but in both the softwares i could only here my voice clearly and the other persons voice is not audible at all. I have faced this problem on ALL HTC DEVICES but the same software worked amazing on XDA Xing and ATOM. cam someone help me here as to what settings to change or what software to use for proper recording.
Thanks
all of these programs will record if the phone is on speaker.
read the documentations, as some phone do not provide duplex conversations, or something like that.
once you set the call on speaker, all works fine, but it's kind of inconvenient.
yea if i remember correctly, it has something to do with the way that the voice calling was implemented in the device that it will only record your voice.
straight from resco.net from the audio recorder page:
(Both sides recording is hardware dependent. If your recording contains voice of one side only, it is not due to the program's failure.)
On my old PPC6700 mine worked fine with the call volume all the way high, The other person sounded a bit low, but if you want you can edit the call on a PC and make them louder. It all depends how often do you plan to record your convos.
I'm recording both sides without speaker or any other hazzle...
This is what I've done:

ringtones only coming into bluetooth headset, how do i stop this?

I have a Tilt and am currently using the latest Hyperdragon III rom, but this has happened with several of the most recent roms.
it used to be that whenever i got an incoming call i would have both ms voice command announce the call through my bluetooth head set, while the phone would vibrate and play the ringtone through its normal speaker.
now, for some reason, in this latest batch of roms, i'm getting both the msvc announcement and the ringtone through my headset and the phone only vibrates. if i turn the headset off, then the phone rings like normal.
this gets to be a problem when i have the headset in my pocket, i start to miss calls!
has anyone else had this problem?
edit: also, something that's bugged me forever, the T key seems to always miss presses. i have to really jam on it to get it to register. if i'm not thinking about it, i'll send out texts and emails with no Ts in them at all! is there a software fix to this or is it a hardware issue?

Hardware. As to BT, I've always had that behavior (all sounds in headset), so don't have much to say, seemed normal to me.
I had that same problem, but I used the MSVCtoggle.cab and it switches it from headset to phone and vice versa.
I believe you need to go to "Voice Command" under settings > system, then select "Notifications"
There are settings that allow changes in how notifications are handled via your speaker and/or your BT.
Hope this helps.
The problem isn't the calls being announced via bluetooth, it's the fact that the phone now only rings into the bluetooth headset.
in previous roms, it used to be that when a call would come in, my phone speaker would ring and i would also receive the MSVC announcement via the bluetooth headset
now, in newer roms, the phone speaker does not ring, and i got both the ringtone and the msvc announcement via the bluetooth headset.
i don't want msvc to announce the calls via the phone's speaker
same thing happens with messages and the announce new messages feature. I get the sms read to me in my bluetooth headset, but the new sms tone also plays through the headset.
edit: if i turn off call announcements, then the phone rings through the regular speaker. i get no call announcements, but hearing the ringtone is much better! i'm using msvc 19965
same problem, please help , it is geting to be verry annoying (((
thank you
p.s. using tilt, original rom, voice comman 1.6.19214
very annoying voice comman problem
same problem, please help , it is geting to be verry annoying (((. if i take check mark out from phone checkbox, under setings voice command then it rings at a phone, but i cant use voice command to dile phone numbers. i say call "name " it finds it but doesn't ask < call "name" > , so it defits the porpose of voise comand.

Original Handsfree Kit

What is the silver button on the original handsfree kit meant to do? when i have an incoming call it wont pick up so, so is there meant to be another function to it or something? thanks
i second that also
this key doesn't answer the incoming call
is there someone else has this problem ?
anyone actally used the handsfree kit?
The wired one? I use mine all the time, answers calls here, and a double press makes it dial last number..
hi, i'am also having the same issues.
the silver button does not pick up calls.
has anyone found a solution for this?
I have the same problem
I live at HK
I have been to the Service Center,
But denied it is the handfree fault but the rom bug..
I argued with them, then changed to a new handfree,
but the problem still there....
Hi everybody,
I'm new here and very grateful for all the brilliant solutions you guys come up with to all sorts of issues with x1.
I have the same problem with my hands-free: the button doesn't work and neither does the microphone. Until now, I've thought of it as a simple matter of replacing the hands-free kit, but now I see the suggestion that this is a Rom bug! Will anyone be able to elaborate a bit on this?
thanks and best regards,
Sune
Really not sure it is real or not that is a rom or software bug,
but sure quite a number of problem of people experienced such problem!
I hope SE not to put a death ear on this issue.
It is really annoying as I quite often used the handfree.
hello everyone
the same problem on my russian x1 handsfree. Have tried to fix it with some patches - no results. Then I've bought Nokia Xpress music handsfree, and it works perfectly (and radio works too).
update
VERY SAD, but it doesn't fix the problem. bad quality of X1 jack - thats the problem. Xpress key doesn't answer the incoming call periodically too, but handsfree itself working good all the time

Hi I'm Chris from Sri lanka,
Yes, I have the same issue! The handsfree seems to work when I remove it and re insert the jack during an incoming call, but not initially! It is very temeperamental and annoying. I also have a problem when I get an another call when I'm already on a call while using the handsfree. The current call goes to speaker phone and the party cannot hear wht I'm saying through my handsfree!
So I am forced to remove the handsfree and talk during such instances! Crazy this, especially since answering phone calls is one of the core functions of a cell phone! what's the point in having all the frills when answering a call is so tedious!
This is very disppointing, especially with such a high price tag to boot!
same case here. im really disappointed...
i guess that if i can when asus glaxy came out i will change mi xperia for that one... this phone is really "buggy"...
Same probleme here unfortunately.. I tried to remove all
additional programs related to dialing and volume,
switched to the new ROM, but no changes. Button on headset
does not work and microphone neither.
I also have same issue, both HK new stock ROM & cook rom also.
i'm form India, had purchased Xperia X1i and using Airtel network. when i connect my hands free and attend one call the moment second call come, automatically my loud speaker gets activated.
is any facing the same problem in Indai or any where else? will any one help me this.
is there any solutions?

Samething here, and the above works for me too (Remove and re insert), but SE really need to fix this for us.
I believe it's a hardware problem, bad 3.5mm jack!
My right earphone's volume has fallen to one tenth. I have it for less than a month. Good listening but bad manufacturing quality.
Personally I don't think it's bad hardware, I think it's bad firmware/rom.
Currently, with GENERIC UK ROM R2AA010, three presses of headset button dials last number, long press disconnects. Not tried incoming call yet.
I really need to be able to customize this buttons function, especially to activate Voice Command, so that I can make calls, play music etc, without the need for touching the phone. Only then, will I be able to make a button for the handlebars on my motorbike.
Want to use a fully wired system to save on battery power, rather than bluetooth. Also, in all the years of using bluetooth, I have yet to find a combination of handset and headset that work seamlessly.
So far, not impressed with the lack of functionality of this headset, but can see why it works like this. Essentially SE should have included Voice Command, then this hardware/software combination would have been shipped working effectively. I think it is merely a cost saving exercise and SE need to provide a patch and fix in their next rom release.

Call Recording problems on X1 HELP!!!

Hello everyone,
can not say that it is like "to live or not to live" but still important, and i belie not only for me.
I have tried a lot of different call recording software for WM.
The problem is that during call recoding it just records the microphone, but not the dynamic.
It just works like simple Voice recorder.
Most advanced I think was the tool from Resco. It has even the input device list in which I've chosen "Cellular Line" but still... no result.
I even have few times changed the firmware
I'm interested:
1) If it's only in my phone and you did not experienced such problem on yours
2) You guys can do the miracle ???

anyone ?
I can't do the ICR as well.
However, many of the people in the forum said they can...
I am wondering how as well.
I think this is not software, this is hardware problem. Something with laws reasons. Anyway, no program to able to write sound from hardware speaker.
Another way to use that programs - try to use recording with BT hendsfree.

I just tried your method, it seems that it actually records passively via the vibrations from the speaker to the mic, or via the actual output from the speaker. Recording in a silent environment I can barely hear the person on the other end even at max volume.
I guess this option isn't really a working solution.
At this point it does make me think that there are hardware differences between X1s we have...
I am using X1i made in Y09W03, which I can't get the ICR to work...
Can those who make ICR work state their model and manufacture date as well?
Thanks
For a start, there may be some confusion here, some are using simply the notes application which can be accessed by menu (right softkey) during call and then record a sound in new note. Other it seems are using a recording software.
That being it, it is so unlikely, that it is nearing impossible that there would be hardware differences in the phone causing such significant difference in functionality. They have a specification to keep.
That being said, the cases describedas working I would put down to a difference in opinion on what "working" is considered to mean exactly.
P.S. X1i UK Y08W52
How about BTHF?
I heard some people had claimed that they can record both streams through BTHF... ark... things getting confusing: but I just want ICR on my X1, for the best I just pick up the phone to record all the in call voices, or using the HF comes with X1, or the worst BTHF (which I dont have one right now).
Just to keep you updated:
BTHF - No Good.
In Mobile01, some users claimed that if you use plastic "jelly" type protection case, it will help you divert the other parties' voices from the earpiece to the microphone, which in case help the ICR.
I am looking into issues and possibilities from the threads in Touch HD to make ICR work with Xperia X1.
I just freakingly hate it when people make false claims. That in any other way doesn't help but rather contribute to confusions.
Firstly, you can't even say that it records voice calls simply because the extreme silenced environment enables the mic to hear the whispers coming from the earpiece of the phone. Or saying that you just have to turn on the speaker phone while on record.
That definitely isn't a way a developer would do to claim anything about recording voice calls.
I'm sure you guys have other phones rather than PPCs say later nokias and later SEs perhaps. Whenever someone is calling you, you can simply press softkey and press record, and it will record the conversation and "stop recording" whoever hangs up first which doesn't happen to notes-recording.
Reviewing the recorded message is simply just as clear as having two people on phone patch just like our President's phone patch scam.
Dude, by far this thing DOESN'T record voice calls as I have tried to search. These claims are just workarounds. And If this do ever record voice calls, then you wouldn't even have to search the whole damn features finding where the record button is. Simply put.
>>MrLeche
Thanks for your comments, but the fact is that the recent Touch HD movements have granted us some hopes. People in Taiwanese forums are making use of the patch to apply on various of HTC phones and got positive results - therefore this has given some people, at least the stupid me, to do some further testing and research before closing the issue prematurely.
Did everyone just give up or did someone find the "cure" and I missed it?
I have tried everything possible but have not been able.
Just out of curiosity is this possible:
I have seen a program that diverts the sound from the speakerphone to the earpiece for use with skype. Could a virtual device be created to emulate a speaker, have sound diverted to the virtual device then to the real earpiece or speakerphone? This would allow the virtual device to send the sound from the other party to the recorder and hence record both sides of the conversation.
Maybe the above makes no sense but just wondering.
If anyone has been able to record both sides of the conversation at reasonable volume levels on an X1, I am interested in finding out how.

Thanks but unfortunately that is not an option for me. I would like to record all calls and the speakerphone option is just too awkward for normal phone use.
