a possible solution may be: get an official rogers ROM & radio... flash them, should work - how you get them, i have no idea

Hi,
I cannot find the option to turn on the feature, that the name of the caller is displayed, when it is in the phonebook. Right now, only the international number is shown whe somebody calls. What do I have to configure? Thx.
Regards Heinzelrumpel
No ideas ??????
WM5 onwards it is already there.
You have to feed the number for each contact as +<country code><areacode><Number>. For example +919896312345
Guys do not get upset with me. I've been trying to find this but I was not able to locate it.
When I make a call is there any way not to show my number to the other party?
I'm sure there is a simple answer but I cannot find it
Thanks for the help

So is there no tweak that I can do so I do not have to dial al the time *67 ???
Dial *67 before dialing the phone number.
More info about the various *codes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_service_code
You should keep in mind, that even if you use *67 (block your caller ID) before placing the call, the person you called may be able to dial *69 which will redial you. It won't give out your number, but many networks still allow the callback itself to occur.
The long and short of it is that you'll either (1) answer their return call, or (2) their call will go to your voice mail. Either way it turns out, the person you called will probably figure "things" out pretty quickly.
Start, Settings, Phone, Services tab, highlight Caller ID, click Get Settings, Change Radio Button to *No one*

Is there a way to make the HTC One match 7 digit numbers to the contact in the People app?
I receive calls from (example) 1-123-456-7890 which does not match the number 456-7890 in the contacts. Is there any way to make the phone match the 7 digit number to the caller without rooting or installing a different phone app?

add that 7 digit number as a second phone number....
Edit your contact, the phone can't 100% guarantee that an incoming call from 1-123-456-7890 is actually the same person as 456-7890

You mean I'd need to re-add "1-area code" before each of the numbers in my contacts listing?

With the country I live in 1-123 would be standard for everyone. Otherwise if it was a foreign contact, I'd save the entire set of digits.

Exactly, that should cause the caller ID to make a positive match.

I supposed there is no method like how I fixed for my Desire by editing the system.prop file? (as here)
I've been using the One for a few months, it's running the latest, unmodified OS.
Yesterday I noticed the call history is full of 'Unknown' blank numbers. To clarify - I take a call, when I finish the call enters the history as a blank entry, with name 'Unknown, and NO NUMBER showing for the call.
Looking through the list, it's happened to most incoming calls.
It never used to do this until yesterday.
I'm wondering what's changed! Why would it start to do this?
Any help appreciated!

Thanks Yatindroid, I tried all that, but the first call I made it happened again. A true record of the call in the history, and alongside it a blank verson

which android version you are having ?? if it is 4.4.2 u will not face this Unknown ID issue.
only the 4.4.3 update made issues for caller ID which doesn't recognize the country code of that related country service provider. when you remove the country code it will show the correct ID but then the Viber/Whatsapp/Line will not recognize the number without the Complete phone number.
you can by pass this by going the Gmail > Settings > Phone numbers: Default country code: "put a country you will never visit"

Thanks for the responses guys - I actauly fixed this yesterday, but thinking what it was I recently installed when this started... and uninstalling it! It was the Klick app (Cheap eBay version of the 'Pressy' Button!)
Uninstalled it and now it behaves fine.
BTW The Klick button is sort of OK, you can set it to launch an app, ie the camera, but intuitively then you expect it to also operate the camera, which it doesn't. Plus setting it to operate even when the screen is locked (as you would probably want, for instant-access) of course means I was always finding I'd knocked it.
So a good idea, but not really that functional. plus caused a glitch with my phone history!
Also HTC headset fix app causes it in 4.4.3 - it adds empty number socdouble click doesn't recall on headphones!
