Hi xda and users,
Is it possible to install it somehow?ive got the message.apk stock eclair from the orginal x8,but ive tried direct install but it says "application not installed".do i have to like push it to the system and do the permission thing?
Using Gingercruzt 7.4 currently

Maybe you'll have to unistall the current messaging app and install the eclair one, but dont be so sure it'll work. It was made for 2.1 so make a backup just in case.

That app requires SE framework to run, so someone would need to port it... Its same for all other apps from other phones..

I know S Memo is dependent on some Samsung frameworks, so I'm curious if anyone has a way to keep all the things necessary to make S Memo work when going to a Cyanogen based ROM.

No, there is currently no way to port touchwiz based apps to cm roms. Touchwiz apps are closed source, so no one is able to adjust the code for the stock framework. I as above poster says, there are good alternatives for use in cm9

That seems okay apart from the lack of cloud sync.

I really like this rom.. but whenever I move or in my case "link" apps to sd-ext, the apps that are moved are always force closing.. I am using link2sd.. does anyone know how to fix this? or can anyone recommend any scripts or app that i can use to move my apps to sd-ext? any help would be greatly appreciated..

I think it's a problem of the rom. Rom is still in the beta versions so it would be fixed then after. Try asking this question in rom's thread. Thank You.

You should also consider option that the app is not compatible with Jelly Bean yet.
Apps force closing after linking is normal here Too, but a reboot solves it

Which one Amarullz did you use? I tried several time but unsuccessful on my CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM.
Can someone know how to port the CM7 MMS.apk app to stock rom?
i tried to do it but the mms settings of cm7 sms app don't work...i have only change the MMS.apk.

I had put CM7 mms.apk in my stock rom (rooted+deodexed). It worked perfectly except, whenever i try to enter the settings menu of sms, it force closes.
I read somewhere that if you import one more apk (mostly settings.apk, but not sure), it will start working. So trying to find that.
Can you guys help with that? Or just guide me to a good GB based CM7 rom working link...
Here is the catlog of the force close. Can anyone check it?
Would the dialer apk from tmobile would work with cm or d.u.? I know sometimes it depends of the framework but is it possible to zip it or install it while having a cm or aosp rom

no you cant, just like camera needs the stock framework.. if you could there would be in all othe roms...
