You can use Resco File Explorer to do that.
And a quick google for "windows mobile view hidden files" gave this:
View Hidden Files
When you browse a folder on your Windows Mobile device, it does not show hidden files; however, you can use the following method to view them. Go to the folder in which you want to view the hidden files using the File Explorer application (File Manager on some Smartphones). Move the scroll bar down till you reach the last file in the list that is being displayed on the screen. Tap and hold on the empty space between the last file name and the bottom taskbar of the Today screen. (Smartphones: Select Menu >Options.) A new menu will appear on the screen. Go to the Show All Files option (pre-WM5 Pocket PCs: View All Files). (Smartphones: Deselect Hide Hidden Files.) You will now be able to see all the hidden files on your device. This setting will be retained by your device until you change it.

Is There a way to View Full Directories Of Kaiser In Vista ????
if i connect through windows vista and try to browse the device i only see a few folders like the basics; my documents, program files, application data
but when i connect it on Windows XP Active Sync 4.5 it shows me full directries like windows> subfolders
application data>sub folders
and everything located on the device,
ahs anyone the same problem?
same thing for me trying to view the Windows folder on my Tilt using Vista. Tried changing folder options to show hidden folders, and even tried typing the address into the browser, but no luck.
I would be interested to hear a solution.
you need a special browser, such as resco file explorer.
such as the common WINDOWS folder is hidden, go to properties and uncheck "hidden" problem solved. Now your computer can see the hidden folder WINDOWS. (may take a while to load files within windows)
To answer the OP, in Vista in your view of the Kaiser folders, click on Organise, Folder Options, View Tab, select show hidden files and ALSO SELECT show system files and folders... (which is just below it)

Yes, I was going to post this too. By Default Vista assumes you are stupid and hides certain files and folders from you.

@ unwired4

Ok i was looking and i did what you say about uncheking the box of HIDE PROTECTED OPERATING SYSTEM FILES; and it shows them but, why they are in vista PROTECTED OPERATING SYSTEM FILES and on XP Just hidden Files???
also why takes so long to show them???
Can anyone tell a newbie where the Menu list is coming from under Settings>Menus (personal)?
I would like to add the 10 button com manager (back) to the launcher, but it does not show up in the list of available programs. Is this a matter of dropping a shortcut into a specific folder or a registry edit? I know the program is there as I can go into the Connections tab and it is listed as "Wireless Manager".
This is on a tilt running HTC Home 2.0 with the original rom.
Thanks greatly for any help.

Programs....
This is from a folder in your windows directory. You can put a shortcut there.
File Name and Folder
Do you know the name of the file that needs the shortcut created and what folders under windows it should be dropped into?
Thanks,
Bobby
Found it
FYI, if anyone else starts hunting this stuff.
The shortcut was already in the Windows folder. A copy of that shortcut needs to be dropped in the "Start Menu" > "Programs" folder. It will then be available in the Launcher application to add.
This should also work for any other application you would like to add to the Launcher.
Thanks,
Bobby
How can i move a program to an folder Example. I install a game it goes to the programs folder how can i move it to the games folder? Sorry my bad english
Open File Explorer and go to My Device \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs and find the game shortcut - the file will be only a few bytes in size (e.g. 25B).
Tap and hold on the shortcut and select Cut from the popup menu.
Then go to My Device \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs \ Games, tap and hold on a white area and select Paste from the popup menu.
That's it...you've moved it
Mark.
Is there any way to get icons on the folders created like on the standard games folder?
Hi i i cant seem to access the windows folder while browsing the contents of my phone via from a windows vista pc. i want to add a program called pocketCM to the start menu but unable to do so as the windows fodler doesnt appear or is hidden for some reason
Windows folder is hidden and will not be shown on default settings. You have 2 choices
1.To show Windows folder, Open Control Panel > goto Folder Options (may use the search box at top-right) and select the option to show protected operating system files.
2.If you don't want to do the above but somehow get something into it from Desktop, you can always copy it to the visible folders other than Windows and then use pocketpc' file explorer to move it inside Windows.
Regards,
Carty..
Thanks i can access it now. anotehr question. is it possible to create a short cut to the pocketCM program? the idea is to have the actual app stored on my memory card and use a short cut icon placed inside the windows start menu and launch it like that. is that possible? i have tried to copy the program back into the memory card and tried to right-click and select create shortcut but there seems to be no option to do that when i right click on the pocketCM file inside my storage card.
edit: is there also a way to add it to the "HOME" desktop thingy?
I usally get an option when installing a new program to put it either in main memory or the storage card. Some programs don't work well from the storage card, but I usually try them there first.
When I connect my phone to my computer, it doesn't show the phones windows directory? how can I do that?
So it connects to the phone just fine, you can open the phone through active sync explorer and look at the files?
If that is the case you dont have a connection issue but most likely need to open the folder display options and allow display of "hidden files or folders"
That should allow the folder to show up and a few others but I cant remember for sure, I always enable hidden stuff for other reasons.
how can I do this enable hidden files?
On your computer go to Start, then My Computer, at the top on the menu options go into Tools, bottom option Folder Options. Then click the View tab at the top, you should now see a scroll down list with two folders, the second folder from the top should read Hidden files and folders, click the show hidden files option, then check the box for apply to all folders.
Then apply. Now you can do this in just the phone directory, but I cannot remember since its not part of the system if you will have to set this every time you sync the phone or if Windows will remember if you dont set it for the whole computer.
The hidden folders will show up as a slightly transparent folder, you will see a lot of them around your system so be careful not to delete something you are not sure what is.
I cannot see the windows directory eventhough I enabled hidden files and directories... Can someone help me?
hi ive got a diamond running spb

Try this...
Use a file explorer to browse to the location of the .exe you want a shortcut for. Tap and hold on this file and select 'Copy'. Browse to windows/start menu/programs. Tap and hold again and select 'Create Shortcut'. Now you have a shortcut to your program
sk shortcut manager is also a gr8 app to manage shortcuts
