Where Is Stericson's Lock Screen? - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Cyanogen's newest build doesn't have Stericson's lock screen like on the previous builds. Where can I find it? I've read reports of it working on 4.1.99, and I've looked through his "New lock screen" thread, but I can't find the file anywhere.
Thanks for the help.

Ahh, so this isn't as simple as pushing a single file, is it?

Nope
lots of changes to the core. You may just want to wait for a theme and use that

You can thank stephen730 for me removing all my work. Tired of jackass's
Thanks man, gonna put the signal icons on mine now
Kevlar, it looks awesome
Kevlar,
Looks great installed on v12 Does this only work on Aloysious roms. I tried to put it over sense able said not enough memory funny thing is I have less internal memory on v12 and it installed fine.
Re: [MetaMorph] Kevlar Mash (Aloysius v9-v12)
I think only works for sprint based ports cuz of file names. It doesn't replace whole file, just a few inside.

locksreen looks tight
Found an error with it. It didnt update signal bars. Updated and reuploaded. Its same file name. Next release I am working on is new Rosie and if possible, time removed from status bar. I am learning, so bare with me.
So please bare with me on this. This is all new to me. v02 fixed the issue where not everything in the taskbar was updated as well when you hold down the power button. There are a few new icons there as well.
added thm version for those using the old version of MM. From now on, I will upload both versions.

Sorry bout that. Dont know why it didnt carry over. First post now has a working link. You could use v03 as well and just not apply the .jar part of it so that it leaves the clock in the task bar.

Great thanks! Good work!
Your packages won't install, ssays there not certified when trying to install them. This is from the boot loader on my phone not from adb. Or is adb required. Either way when i get home i can just download the apk's from my phone redo the files and resend them which is the long way to do this but I can't be the only one who is having trouble.

This is not a flash update, hence the title, MetaMorph. You must use that app to install this theme and any other theme for Metamorph. There is a free version on the market. FYI, there are not apks in here. That is not how MM works.
Well the files are the same, and im assuming it replaces them just as i would on the computer. I would just do it through adb if i was home.

[MOD][CWR ZIP] AOSP Lockscreen!

Here it is! My #1 aggravation with this phone: the lockscreen.
What is this?
This is a Clockwork-installable ZIP that will remove the junk LG Lockscreen, and switch to the AOSP style sliding tab lockscreen.
Click to collapse
How do I install this?
1. Put this zip file on your external SD card (do not extract it!)
2. Reboot into Clockwork
3. Select "Install ZIP from SDCard"
4. Find the "revo-aosp-lockscreen.zip" and select it. Hit install!
5. Wipe the dalvik-cache.
Your phone will take a while to boot back up after this mod, it's normal!

Technical Information
LG's lockscreen is defined in /system/framework/android.policy.jar as AndyLockscreen.
In LockPatternKeyguardView.smali method createLockScreen (line 1947), change line 1952, and remove "Andy_" from the string.
Line 1964, remove "Andy_" also.

Can't wait for this download! I thought you might have put it on Rootwiki first but I guess I'll just have to be patient. Thank you though, other than my random shutdowns the lockscreen is the only annoying thing about this phone I haven't been able to change!

Thanks. Pretty cool.
So now that you've had an hour's rest, When are you doing a port of Gingerbread? ;-) Shouldn't take you more than what a week?
Seriously if I want to contribute for your efforts do I just do one contribution or one for each thing you've done? Also since I'm new to this, what kind of donation is typical?
What did you use to accomplish the changes you outlined in the technical portion. Thanks, I'm having issues with that part.

Gingerbread is coming soooon I'm working hard on it, I've even got a test build going, but it doesn't recognize 4g and it seems to put the phone in a weird state. I'll put out screenshots as a tease here soon
As far as donations, anything is fine. Like I say in every post that I put a donation button on-- I'm not in this for the donations, I'm in it for fun

Changes were accomplished using baksmali to decompile the archive (rename android.policy.jar to android.policy.zip and extract the classes.dex file, then feed it to baksmali). Once I changed the files, I used smali to re-generate the classes.dex file, and updated the zip file with WinRAR to include the new dex file.
To help me understand what was going on in the actual code, since smali is incomprehensible, I used dex2jar to turn the android.policy.jar into a bunch of .class files which were readable via JD-GUI. Once I had the gist of what was going on, the appropriate changes were made in the smali files (since JD-GUI files aren't re-compilable)
All in all, the changes took about 2 hours to do (mostly figuring out where the lockscreen was created and other miscellaneous digging comparing the decompiled source to the AOSP code)
Do I need to make those changes myself, or does your program do that? I ask because I downloaded the file and installed it using cwm as your instructions state, but I still have the stock lock screen.
thanks!

Program should do that automatically...
Ah, did you download the "revert to stock lockscreen" zip on accident?
I should say "revert to stock LG lockscreen".
The "install" zip is what you want
After many attempts, going back to stock, deleting downloaded files, re-downloading and installing per instructions, I still only get the stock lock. Any thoughts?

I could be wrong, bit I think that was a patch for older builds of the rom. I believe it is fixed in the newest versions. If you receive calls and your screen stays black, then run it. If not, don't bother.
Cheers will do thanks

Cm9 soft buttons request

Hey guys anyone knows how to put cm9 softkeys? Obviously its for cm9 (by maclaw). I really want to experience full ICS with the soft keys and my back button is all worn out. So any1 has or can make a flashable zip of the soft keys Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Thnx guys, i tried the search but in vain O.O guess im not so good at it.
EDIT: I've tried this : http://rohan999.wordpress.com/2012/03/31/how-to-enable-on-screen-ics-keys-on-any-ics-rom/
But the recompilation using "apktool b framework-res" without quotes fails D:< Help!
Search, there are plenty of tutorials available.

if you know how to use adb and apktool, take a look here. but next time, use search option, lazyass...
*edit*
this method messes up statusbar, making it same height as softkeys bar, so there's more to do with it also lockscreen gets messed up... i don't have much time today, but it's interesting...

Cyanogen OS 12 Apps

I am going to be posting some things pulled from the Cyanogen OS 12 OTA if anyone is interested.
Here is the download link for the apps that are included in the ROM.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=29527
Here is the link to the new bootanimation.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934554903
Now some of these might be the same apps that are included in the latest CM12 nightlies but I'm not sure. Been on BlissPop since the Alpha days and refuse to flash anything else so you'll have to figure out the versions yourself. I literally flashed this just to pull these things for anyone interested. Now I'm back on BlissPop. ?

Oh, I thought there might be more as shown in the screen shots on their site. No other themes from Cyanogen Inc. that can be downloaded from their store?
Thanks though.

Honestly, I didn't really take the time to dig that deep, I literally flashed it, pulled some stuff, uploaded it, posted links, etc.
I'm now back on BlissPop and can confirm that the new Theme Chooser (2.0) doesn't work on 5.1. I don't know if it's cause COS12 is based off of 5.0.2 or what cause I know since all ROMS are basically CM based, that shouldn't be an issue.
Unless a dev on here can work their magic and take a look at it.
Anyone tried the new MaxxAudio on Oxygen?
Thanks alot!
Can someone tell me where I can find the OnePlus One fonts? I mean, the fonts I see in every screenshot of CM11S and CM12S since the release of the phone?

They are in the Hexo theme. Just download it, install it, find it in the themes section in settings, check the fonts check box, and click apply. You don't even have to use other parts of the theme if you don't want to.
If anyone knows how to make the boot animation into an apk file so that we can use it with the Theme manager, feel free to do so and post it here. Hopefully @_moelle can maybe take a look at it?
