Greetings,
I am using a 6.5 ROM and need to keep my Emoze push email program active. I start it in the morning, but by mid-day, it has somehow been killed. I tried to add it to Exclusive Applications list in task manager, but that did not help.
Is there some setting that I can use to tell windows to not kill this application?
Thanks for any advice.
Doug M.
shameless bump.
Any advice on this issue is appreciated. I may have to get rid of the TP if I cannot depend on my email.
Thanks in advance,
Doug M.
I came across a prog called EverApp on freewarepocketpc.net that may be what you're after.

Hi there,
Love the new rom, haven't had one single problem with it yet at all.
Had a question though that I have searched for on the forum/Google but can't seem to find an answer, and would greatly appreciate help.
How do I add programs to the Tray Launcher.
I am specifically trying to add Messenger and Task Manager.
I know I need to copy their shortcut like with 2003SE but don't know where to put it!
Thanks for any assistance you can provide, it is much appreciated.
Cheers
You can use PHM Tray Launch:

The thing is, the Tofclock Rom already has a tray launching area, which by default shows the battery level, Comm manager and Rotate Screen. So instead of installing a new Tray Launcher, I wanted to utilise the built in one. So far the only way I can see to add or remove programs is through registry hacks which i'd rather steer clear of for the moment.
Thanks for your reply though.

When using PointUI, the app minimized and you are returned to the Today screen when hitting the End Button/Red Button. Is there anyway to disable this from happening? Meaning, is there a way to never be able to go back to the Today screen? Unless of course you go to "Close Home".
Thanks in advance.

I myself have been trying to find a way to completely replace the Today screen with PointUI, but without any success. So I ended up throwing together this little piece of software.
It is called GetPointUI and is basically a Today plugin, which acts similar to the SPBWatcher plugin. If PointUI is not running, it will start it, and if PointUI is running, it will activate it as soon as the Today screen becomes visible. To deactivate GetPointUI, simply uncheck the plugin in the Today settings.
Now, mind you, I have only tested this application on my XV6800 (and it is working perfectly) with PointUI installed in the default location. I do not have S2U and/or any other launchers/Today replacements installed, so GetPointUI might interact with those in an undesired way. If you should have PointUI installed in a non-default location, GetPointUI SHOULD be able to detect that and find the correct path, but this has not been tested. The same goes for new versions of PointUI that might be released in the future. GetPointUI SHOULD always bring up the latest version, but again, that is pure theory. I am curious myself...
Installation: Just install the attached CAB and soft-reset your device.
NOTE: I will NOT be responsible for any damage on your device or any data loss you may incur. You are using this software at your OWN risk.
Unfortunately, that CAB file you posted won't install. No error, just "Unsuccessful"
here this may have fixed it
Perfect. Thanks guys. Since the time of posting (January), pointui has created a feature where you can choose to replace the Task Bar/Start Bar with the pointui task bar. Touching this "pointui task bar" takes you back to the home screen and at another location on the bar it gives you the "Running Applications"
Thanks again guys. Much appreciated.

I have an HTC S640 with Windows Mobile 6, I get the same error...will not install. Without this app, PointUI although very slick, without it beeing able to work like this its just eye candy....
If anyone has this working, please POST!!!!!
i know this is off the topic, but does anyone know if POINTUI is still in production for a new release?
it is true there are bugs in pointui, but free is free.. for the most part, POINTUI is a excellent all in one interface, simple, basic and fast...

Hi All,
I hope someone is able to help or point me in the direction of a hack or some software to help.
Basically i use windows mobile task manager alot and any task i create i make a reminder, what i want to know is if anyone knows if their is a way i can sort the display of the tasks so that they are ordered by the reminder time.
I have played around with Due Date but if there is multiple tasks on one date they are sorted alphabetically.
I hope some can help i think i have OCD as this little thing bothers me
Hi,
my answer will be a bit off-topic as I do not answer your question, but have you ever tried the freeware SponnDo (same creator as SponnAlarm). This soft covers the normal WinMo tasks manager interface and makes it finger friendlier and so on.
I do not recall if such an option as you're looking for was available but worth the try.
thanks for the reply, i will check it out
My battery went completely flat today, and after charging it back up my messaging service won't launch. I cannot launch emails or SMS, whatever method I try to get in. I have tried the button on the front, the links in HTC desktop, navigating to and clicking on the poutlook file and nothing.
Anybody know why this might be? Has my poutlook file become corrupt? If so, can someone email me a copy?
Any ideas gratefully received...

I need some help or advice on where to start with converting/ transferring SMSs from pre-smartphone Samsung to Windows, ideally with sender & date information.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Not required anymore, found a way to do it.
