Hello Guys ,
can somebody guide me a compatible dual sim that works for X1.... ?
i read somewhere a while back that its some what buggy and wont work in 3g mode, only gsm.
you might want to try a search on this site to find out more details on it.
I use this one on my Xperia X1 and very happy with it! Only one issue: second card doesn't support 3g
what's the point of having dual sim cards?

maybe you use one sim only for data-transfer and the other one for sms and calling...
Or you have a different sim for each girlfriend...

Not so great.
I just got the BLACK 2 and got it working. I dont think its so great a product to flaunt abt. It just saves ur time and energy by not having u to remove the SIM CARD and RESTART the phone again and again.. but then again sometimes it doesnt pickup the network and then u still need to soft-reset.
better not...
Hi,
i tryed one of these dual sim adapters.
First few days worked great, there was a new software menu, and you could easily switch between cards.
But after a while it stuck very often, and in the end my sim card reader died...
any other makers around?
How does it work? Can you use Internet apps with one sim and write sms with the other at the same time? Or do you have to change everytime, like go to "sim-manager" and select sim 1?

i like to know if there is room enough above the sim to use a duosim from duosim.xcom ?
Anyone an idea?
come on , is there any room to place a dual sim ?
Oh, wow. That stuff looks cool. Now I'm curious too.
Yes, there should be room enough.
So, I've tried it and yes it fits but it doesn't work.
The TD has 8 connections to the SIM card and the Magic Sim (www.dual-sim.nl, 16th cut version) has 6 connections. It is 16th gen card which they propose to use for smartphones....
It works on my old Nokia 6021. This phone has 6 connections to the SIM Card.
The cutted SIM Card doesn't work anymore on the TD so I have to purchase a new one. I have sent a mail to dual-sim.nl. I will post the outcome.
number of contacts is irrelevant. Only 6 contacts are used for sim cards, the last 2 are RFU (reserved for future use).
If i read you right, after you cut up your sim card it doesnt work anymore? even directly in the phone without the dual sim? If thats the case your broke your sim while cutting it. The dual sim may or may not work still.
The cutted SIM doesn't work in the TD but does work in the Nokia 6021.
The Magic Sim doesn't work in the TD but does work in the Nokia 6021.
So, my assumption was that the cut is the reason that the SIM card doesn't work anymore on the TD. Strange that it still works in the 6021??
No, there is an incompatability between the magic sim and the touch diamond it sounds like. Only 6 contacts on the sim are used, the last two do nothing.
So if it works fine in your 6021 and not the TD, then its the magic sim that has the problem.
What error do you receive? no sim/insert sim?
SIM card is seen, Magic Sim program is available in teh TD but it doesn't register to the network.

Hmm thats really strange. What happens when you manually register?
It lists the available networks. KPN (my provider) in one of the them. If I try to connect to this netwerk the same thing occurs: can't register... I can try another network (roaming)?
Hmm that means the IMSI is not being passed corectly.
Sounds like a bug with the multisim itself. Another brand might work.
Not all new USIM cards works fine.
Put your phone on GSM mode instead of WCDMA or Auto.
Then the Dualsim works fine.

Due to your questions I tried it again and came to the conclusion that the cutted SIM card didn't work in the TD because it didn't contacted completely. I also saw a different kind of slide for the Magic Sim which leads to a better contact of the Magic Sim to the TD and now everythong works!!
Thanks someone1234 for taking the effort ask further

Thats great! no problem.
Does the Dual-sim 16th gen. non-cut version also fit into the TD?
I don't think my employer will appreciate it if I would cut my KPN sim-card of my company phone...
anyone tried the 20th gen dual sim adapters yet?
i changed my Sim card to one I use in the UK and then put back in my original Sim card and now the phone tells me there is no Sim card in the phone but you can still make an emergecy Call
I cant find any thing in settings to configure or change Sim
Or is there somthing wrong with my phone.
I would contact your provider. Sounds like something wrong with the SIM.

You may have to hard reset to get it to regognize your SIM again.
Also try to get to SIM manager with the one that doesn't work and see if you can access it that way.

Ok I am going to appoligies for waisting your time
And admit to being an idiot, apparently it helps if you insert the sim card in the right direction.
Yes, that usually helps!
Glad you fixed it.
I have one sim that I wish to use for phones / text messages, and one that I wish to use for mobile data.
If I put either sim in on its own, it works fine.
If I put both in together, and set them so they are both on, the one that I wish to use for phone calls and texts does not register on its network (which is Three in the UK)
I am not sure what to do. Can the phone company have set it so it doesn't work in a dual sim setting?
Or have I just failed to understand what dual sim is?
Any help much appreciated!

Try interchanging the SIM, I mean just enter the right one on the left and the left one on the right. What you are saying shouldn't happen.
If possible try another 2 SIM to see if the problem is with the SIM or the phone.

OK thanks. I have tried it with another 2 sims and it works fine. So that means it's a faulty sim?
Is it possible the network won't allow dual sim, or should I just request a replacement?
Thanks

Before requesting a replacement just ask the network operator of that particular SIM that if they disallow Dual-SIM or not. If they don't allow using their SIM on a dula-sim mobile asking for a replacement would be pointless.
I am using 3 (UK) and Vodafone, no issues, so likely the sim

My devices sometimes cannot read the sim card, and some times it can. No matter what sim I use, what ROM I use, and I've even tried another sim card reader, but the problem seem to be something else.
Anyone experienced this?
I've been looking for a way to emulate a sim card, like a soft sim solution, but it seem this is not easy..
Maybe it's time to let the old m7 retire...
Anyway, thanks to all contributors in this community, it's been awesome. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Maybe the sim card isn't making a good contact when inserted in the tray, A few ppl got a similar issue and used paper to shim the sim card (not recommended since your sim tray can get stuck). I would try another sim first...

Yes, that's a common issue. The first steps was to use a little tape on the sim, second step was to try another sim, third step was to open the device and take out the sim reader, clean it with ethanol, check every pin and so on, then I tried another sim reader, but the problem still remains.
I too have the same problem, of signal on and off. I think the device detected the SIM card as it asked for PIN to unlock. I tried the *#*#4636#*#* to choose WCDMA only / preferred, but still same problem. So, did you retire the beautiful phone of yours?

Since not even replacing the sim reader solved the problem, it can no longer be used as a phone.
And anyway, the battery is getting seriously old, so when my dogs destroyed my remote control, the good old HTC one m7 now have a new life, filled with joy and happiness.
Anymote app is nice, and m7 are now a media control hub in my living room.
Since April 29 2013 this device have improved my life quality, with the good help from this great community on XDA.

Thats incorrect, can be 2G/3G/4G, the other sim is 2G/3G.
To ther op's, for all I know, the P7 and 8 is full active, you can use sim one to call sim two and you phone will start to ring, thats the same for sim one on call, whiles data can be used to surf the internet on sim two. This feature has been removed for all released afterwards.

Example: Is the truecaller worked to identify a number call me on 2g/3g sim card?

Lets just say that when sim 1 is active (on a call), sim 2 is disabled.

Nothing can be done about it, of all the phone only Huawei P7 and 8, from what I know has this feature, all the newer Huawei has removed the feature, and other manufacture thinks it's not worth having it.
