[THE] 21-Mar-09 bcmobile Blue Carbon Theme

Hi all.
Just thought I would upload a theme I have been working on for a few weeks. I have designed, redesigned and redesigned again and finally have something that may be release-worthy.
The theme is based on Carbon-Fibre, Blue and Steel. Some images are remnants of earlier designs. I will eventually update all graphics to match the base theme. If you notice any weird / out-of-place graphics, let me know and I will update them for you.
For this release, I used the XBMods HD Manila files as 'templates'. (thanks XBMod!) but it I think should work for any CFC Manila version. I recommend installing XBMods manila from here:

My ZIP contains a full set of manila QTC files (all graphics, no code). If you want a specific part of my theme (eg icon, hero, slider) just reply and I will extract them. Alternatively, you could use M9 Editor or CFC_GUI to extract them yourself.

Instructions:
INSTALL XBMODs MANILA FIRST IF YOU INTEND TO USE IT
1 - Copy the ZIP file to your phone
2 - Deactivate TF3D using SETTINGS=>Today, untick TouchFLO 3D
3 - Open the ZIP and extract all files to \Windows (overwrite all files)
4 - Re-activate TouchFLO 3D TF3D from using SETTINGS=>Today, tick TouchFLO 3D
5 - Enjoy!
Uninstall will require a hard reset. Deleting all _manila files is not sufficient (at least not if your ROM contains Rhodium Manila, or none)

I just checked it and it is fine.
If you are using the Zip folders function built in to WIndows, make sure you have "show hidden/system files" enabled.
Could you please try it again and let me know how you go?

I don't lnow what i am doing wrong, but I still have an empty folder. I disabled virus protection, tried windows zip and 7-zip and no luck. I have opened 100's of zips and just can't figure this one out.

Try again. The first one was compressed in ZIP format using WinRAR - that may be a problem.
The new one was compressed using the built-in ZIP compression in Windows 2008.

Works and looks great, Thank You, Do have the moon wallpaper to share? The only thing I see so far is the clock is hard to read, it's like the top and bottom lights are not lit. Also the stock tab is plain until you go to it then it changes to your design. Thanks again

Glad you like it. The clock was just slapped together last minute. The effect that makes the top and bottom of the clock look dim was deliberate - and a bad idea in hindsight
I will work on a better clock for a future release.

the screenshots look increble, i cant wait to try it out,,, as to the empty folder, i used winrar to extract all the files, but everything is there, just hidden, in fact if u put the zip file inside the phone and open it with the cell fones zip software ull see al the manillas inside, my only concern is this,,, im nt sure how to do it or if im doing it wrong however if i try extract the manillas its only giving me the option to extract into "my documents" or and sub folder in my documents, and if i try copy and paste it win the windows directory its saying insuficiant privalges or somethin like that, basically its not allowing me, is there a program or something i need for it? if so pls let me know coz it could help me in more then just using this great theme... thank you

You will need to use Total Commander. It is capable of seeing and 'overwriting' the ROM files. You can download it from here:

It is a very useful app. Something everyone should have on their phone.

That is my next project. All I need is a full set of Rhodium QTC files. Do you know where I can find a set (short of flashing yet another ROM)? HD Manila has been made available as a CAB. I haven't seen a cab for TP2 yet.
Having said that, it should work on TP2 Manila but will be missing the landscape 'bits'.

Works with TP2 Manila. Some graphics are missing. I will hopefully release a new version tomorrow with fixed clock and a seperate TP2 manila theme with all the landscape graphics

Didn't work for me. I ended up getting a white screen which prevented me from using anything. Clock, slider, and main screen all "Bleached" out.

Thats a first. What manila version are you running?

Sorry still a bit new to ROM configs and Manila editing n such. I'm using the basic HTC Touch Pro ROM. Nothing has been flashed or changed. According to the device info screen, my ROM version is 1.03.651.3 if that means anything to you. How can I check to see what Manila version I'm running?

I will update the firt post with some instructions. It probably isn't clear what needs to be done if you're new to TouchFlo.
I recommend you use XBMods HD Manila from here:

Although I believe it should work on any CFC compressed version of Manila.
Like with just about any change to Manila, you will need to:
1) Go to Start=>Settings=>Today=>Items. Untick TouchFlo3D
2) Install XBMod HD Manila
3) Reset
4) If TouchFlo doesnt restart automatically, go back in to Start=>Settings=>Today=>Items and reselect TouchFlo3D
That will upgrade your TouchFlo version to the version that ships with the Touch HD. XBMod has resized, recoded everything to work on VGA.
Repeat the steps above, but this time copy or extract my files to \windows in step 2 instead.

1) its a script module used by titanium
2) If u got german keyboard cab then install it
3) select weather and then select "Menu" in the bottom. then setup weather.
4) u need to customize using titanium customizer in start menu

1) Its not error.. Just info displayed that motscript is used
2) Check the attached Weather location code zip.. and look for your place

Hi! As you Know I am using ROM (Rhodium Port) CE OS 5.2.21028.build.21028.1.6.0 (OEM 1.40.488.2) Lean.cut, but it doesn't work Internet Sharing.
I would like to know if you think that this new 6.5 version you cooked is stable, fast and with a good battery life, because I am thinking to try it.
What about compatibility? I read that WM 6.5 has got some problems with a lot of programs.
Is posible to disable the new today WM 6.5, in order to use the old today plugin?
Can you please give us some suggestions??

WM6.5 is still beta.. so u have to test and find
I have not included Manila2d plugin. U can disable Windows default today plugin.

Hi, sorry to disturb you! This morning I tried this ROM and Jade FeatherLite WM6.1 OS 5.2.21128 Build 21127.1.6.1 (OEM 2.32.723.2) SPL 2.32.44800, but the telephone didn't work neither the comm manager.
So I installed the older one 1.40.488.2OS.20765.Build.20765.1.4.4(1.40.488.2.lean.cut.NO.manila.NO.live), I fortunately the telephone is now working.
So I think to keep this one.
But, I still have a problem regarding Internet Sharing!!

Of course newest build 23563 is attached.
In this version I changed:
- Removed BuildOS, replaced by my own engine called HimaBuilder.
- Added automatic rom version change
- Multilanguage support (\LANG folder)
- Added author info d)
What would not work (experimental)
- Building release of all languages, it takes much time and fails sometimes (sometimes only language of 409 will be build, non sense)
What not work/is removed:
- EXT support isn't ready yet to see the Xdadevs light.
- XIP automatic porting too.
Adding lanuguages into this kitchen:
Download any rollup which will match with your system version (6.1, 6.5, 6.5.x)
Look at \LANG\409 folders and copy same names of folders but with your lanugage into \LANG\YourLangage, example \LANG\408
Now download initflashfiles for all lanugages pack, and find your lanugage there.
Create new folder in \LANG\YourLanguage, and paste there your initflashfiles.
Now open this initflashfiles in notepad and save it as initflashfiles.txt.
Remove initflashfiles.dat.
Now go to LANG\409\OEM_Lang_0409 and copy all except initflashfiles.txt
You really mustn't overwrite initflashfiles.txt!
Paste files you copied into folder where you have initflashfiles.txt.
Run the kitchen and select your language id, now kitchen is ready to go

i have now got the hang of your excellent Aero Visual Kitchen 5 but can u please let me know how to remove the feedback and error reporting icons out of the settings tab in the startmenu.
i have tried just deleting the icons using total commander but the folder shows no icons.
maybe the icons are in a .dll like shellres .96.dll or shellres.dll.0409.mui.
i have seen talk of how u can change or extract icons using res hacker
any ideas of which .dll or .exe or .mui need changing or deleting as having even one of feedback or error reporting in Aero Visual Kitchen 5's final output in my mind spoil's it.

initflashfiles.txt, you should search in those

tweeking shellres.96.dll to remove stuff.

at first i thought it was just a matter of deleting the "Start_Icon_ " .png" for feedback and error reporting ie.
Start_Icon_Watson.png
and
Start_Icon_Feedback.png
in the kitchen and tweeking the initflashfiles.txt.
but that did not work. i have found that feedback and error reporting icons are also in "shellres.96.dll" so i had to use ROMExtractor,reshacker,mSigner and UnSigner to remove them after ROM install.
the resulting tweeked "shellres.96.dll" was then copy from my desktop pc and overwrite the original one on himalaya.
had to install "sdkcert.cab" also.
i also deleted in the kitchen before install-
ceipui.exe
dw.exe
dwxfer.dll
which are also part of feedback and error reporting.

Also you always can find ENABLE=1; in registry, eh

a bit more info?
can u be a bit more precise ENABLE=1; in registry,
which section of registry HKLM etc.
do u mean registry in kitchen before install if so which file or folder is the post install registry kept or do u mean the registry on himilaya after install of ROM?

I could not do any russian ROM using the kitchen Aero Visual Kitchen 5 or Aero Visual Kitchen.Confusing many different folders, which can be forgotten.ROM with 0419.mui is going, but after flashing the device - a white screen.
Do,please 3 folder SYS, ROM, OEM.he new ROM(core) do - I do not know how to port XIP (many times I tried to do).Very interesting and just came up with Barin program "OS Builder"___wmclub.co.ua/index.php?newsid=1864_______

Did you install newest .NET? 2.0 at least, 3.5 recommended.

Well i got it working on my Hima But i found some bugs, and i do only remember one as i use another mobile now.
When i had chosen which settings i would like in the "Sounds & Notifications" menu in the "Notifications" tap, i couldn't close the menu again. I had to push "End Call" button to remove it
I will tell you if there is more bugs.

Months, or you want to sound is the sound of different tones and alerts I remove it out. But you see it written up on. Rgu files I do not have to delete the match, it is all a lie. You should campaign alerts and ring tones to put on the card. Space saving ROM

got it working i had to move[ HimaUpgradeUt_noID.exe ]and[ nk.nbf ]to a folder on their own or u will get a[ Error 103: Rom image not found?].
also got the same "Sounds & Notifications" problem as[ Tobseren] i sorted it by using one of my own .wma ringtones by placeing it in [my ringtones] folder in [my documents] folder.
i think the problem is that it has a normal "Sounds & Notifications" tab in the [personal] section of the [settings] tab in the startmenu but also [HTC sounds] tab in the [settings] tab and i think the two get mixed up with each other.
otherwise a great ROM and YAHAHANUVOELEGANLC keep up the good work!

a folder with a title of[ Diamond WM skin_black] comes with this ROM and it contains WMP skin files[i think !] i tried placing them in \program files\windows media player\ folder but when i go into the WMP skin settings nothing shows up?

You should visit. wmp / menu / option / skins. Machine will scan skins Dimond.
tip: you just put mail flow Der WMP skins Dimond in your mmc card will save RAM space.

1*) Make sure HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex has been installed.
You can check by putting your device into bootloader. (reset device and hold both volume buttons)
1b) If SPL is 1.56OLINEX, go to 2
1c) If NO, Download HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex, Run the .EXE and follow on-screen instructions.

if you have uspl/hspl installed, yes it should be ok, (if not let me know)
my rom is just o/s, no radio & no splash.
i will be doing my to "do list" asap so an update will be coming soon, enjoy.

i tried your rom this morning but impossible to open after flash and hard reset it s says some programs can t open and nothing more can t use screen and hardware buttons must restart and always the same

3g switch = ill see what i can do
tbh the design evolved from a mixture of ideas, i wanted to keep it simple
a new update will be uploaded next week
(hopefully it wont crash/freeze anymore. but you will need to overclock the processor yourself )

Hi Rn,
it is a fast rom with all apps you need and extras. I would like to be able to modify the shortcut links on the home page, as the contacts link opens sim manager and not the contacts page. Also would it be possible to add more links?
