Great App For Listening To Local Police/Fire/EMS Radio, unforunately it doesnt have the option to input your own frequencies yet but i think i read on the description that its coming in the future. Runs in the background, pauses when you get a phone call then goes back on after. Great app.

Although it does have a WIDE range of different citys and countys...i see in the comment blogs that there are some missing. Well, they are still updating weekly so pretty soon i hope to see an option where you can put your own in.
I am sure it is the same thing as StreamFurious and just searching for your local municipality's stream.

I wasnt LOL'ing, i was lol'ing. Usually people lol because something is funny. How is it wasting money if we like the app? I upload my own music to my sdcard and dont use those programs therefore, i dont need it. Its a dollar bro, lol...i for one like supporting devs that put hard work into their apps. Im sure this program was no easy task and even if it was, they still did something they did'nt have to go out of their way for but instead they chose to. I think thats dollar worthy, no?

There is no problem with that, but dont hate on others because they do have a dollar and want to spend it on something they like. If you dont have a dollar and would rather go the free route then thats fine, but dont degrade others and try to make it seem foolish to spend *a dollar* on an app...thats just ridiculous.

Well, it's official. I trashed my Tilt. I dropped it in a bucket of fresh oil that i was using to soak a set of lifters for a motor I am building and didnt realize it for at least an hour or so. Now it looks like I have a 70's lava lamp in the screen. It does boot, but no response via the screen and it seems to be flickering the backlight. Before anyone asks, yes it was synthetic and no, I have no idea how I did it. Oh, and I found a cure for the sticky keyboard keys. Mine are smooth as silk but who knows if they work or not. It's hard to see past the lava bubble of oil trapped in the screen.
Does anyone have a Tilt for sale or know of someone who does?

Oh and the funny thing about it is that everyone that sees it says it would be awesome if you could buy one that had the lava in the phone like mine does now. However, I think they want it to work and really dont want me to install the lava for them.

It sucks. My 5 yr. old had for about a year now. So you can guess what it's like. Here's the best part, I had to take my kids phone. God, I'm an ass for that. I guess I could give him my new "lava" phone as a replacement for his razr.

I just got a tilt from AT&T for very cheap. Go to wireless.att.com and buy a refurbished one. They are FREE with 2 year agreement!! Here's the catch... you need to only keep the phone on AT&T for 30 days then pay a $175 Early Termination Fee and the phone is yours for the $175 + $40 or so for the first months service!!!! I just got mine this way and it's perfect... it was as good as brand new looked like it was never touched before!
I appreciate the offers, but ebay is not the solution. I don't care if the phone is locked or unlocked. I am more than compitent enough to unlock the phone myself. Also, just because the phone is unlocked does not make it worth more or less than the locked phone in my book. $500+ for a tilt is just not an option. The money is not the issue, the value of the phone is. XDA store has the phones for $224.99 for those with an already existing account. Why would I pay more than that?

I deserve that. Still, i think i have found the cure for the "sticky" keys.
Side note, seems as though everything seems to be working again. It did trash a battery as it wont pewr with it installed. However, the "lava" bubble is gone, the sound is no longer garbled, the touch seems to be working and as far as i can tell everything is back to functioning. The only issue I am seeing now is that there is some SLIGHT discoloration to the background of the screen. Who knows, it may work fine after all. I am still in the market though for a new or refurb, either way.

yes, I can install duttys latest and apply all fixes, that's not a problem. As for shipping I will be using fedex priority overnight which is guaranteed by 10:30am in most cases. The package will be insured for $550 the retail value of the device and tracking will be provided as soon as item is shipped.

Since he "came" back he has been tweeting that he has been making nexus ports and liquid ports for the g1. The day the Nexus Once came out he said he had a bunch and was selling it for a discounted price (like around $430 unlocked).
Turns out he was lying about the the ports (they never existed) and he scammed the people who bought the nexus one off of him. After he got the money he was never on twitter for about a week or two. After seeing all the stuff about him scamming people he decided to return the money. He said he was going to but his paypal account was frozen. Then he deleted his twitter account.
Well at the end what goes around comes around (that is the saying right?) He is going back to jail.

I feel naked as a jay bird without my phone. Kinda like the cigarette commercial I would have to re- learn how to do things without my phone
If I loose my phone I'll go suicide and haunt the place afterwards and everyone with a smartphone that passes by that place they will be dead when they're batteries get empty
I must be one of the people that really wouldn't mind. Yes, I do use my phone for a lot of things, but I will live without it. For music, I'd just have to get another device, or a Walkman (hey kids, remember the walkman? not the SE Phone line ;-) ), GPS, there are regular maps, and other stuff like that.

I have been without my phone for about 16 hours now! I sat on it and completely bust the screen. Not having a phone is horrible, I feel like I have lost a limb. I just hope my insurance pays out even though my phone is rooted and has a custom ROM installed/

Insurance will pay it out, no problem. ROMs will only affect warranty.

I figured as much. I'm kind of hoping they will just repair the screen and send my phone back to me as it was. But it does in the T&C's that they will update software to most recent version before sending the handset back. And I Can't be arsed to go through the hassle of rooting again.

Hmmm... no help there. I don't have a Desire Z, so IDK how touch it is to root. But Insurance will surely cover it.

Rooting is not to bad. But there is all ways that risk that you might do something wrong. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
On a plus note one of my mates has just offered to lend me his galaxy tab whilst I'm without a phone

Looks like Google is getting into the television service providing game. $120/mo is waaay too high for TV IMO. Thoughts?
The free Nexus 7 is nice (but not $120 a month nice since it's $250 for the 16gb), being able to stream from Android devices is nice, but with a service like tv the only way they can oust the monopolies is to beat them on price point. I can't justify spending $120 a month on just tv when I get internet and tv for less than $100 from my local monopoly.
Take out the commercials without the use of the dvr then I might justify paying that much. Also if you are going to play reruns dont just rerun 12 different episodes

I've never understood the idea of commercials on anything other than the free over the air channels. I already pay for the tv service, why am I being advertised to like I didn't?!
Google fiber is also a broadband networking service in Kansas city

You're paying to be able to receive the channels, you're not paying for the channel itself (that's why starz, hbo, and cinemax are extra, they don't have commercials).
Depends though.. What exact features are coming with the package? I mean it is a bit pricey, but if it offers something another service won't besides a free Nexus 7 "Win!" Than it would be worth looking into.
From my understanding it would be wise to drop DirectTV and Dish at this point because I've heard they dropped plenty of channels an average consumer watches, AMC/Comedy Central etc.
I'd be using Verizon right now if my apartment supported them :/
Have to rely on crappy charter unfortunately.
Got to admit though.. the internet sounds mind blowing, imagine playing your console online lol.. everyone would be pissed

Yeah boooo DirecTV, I would have dropped them the second they took my Comedy Central.
Did you guys happen to see the download speed? At 5gbs for download and 1gbs for upload. Yeah I'm pretty sure the packages are worth it. Oh yeah and the 1024gbs of Google drive free as well?

It is free internet, can't really complain? Household average, seems about correct. Charter gives me about 10-20mbps "Not really" they are ripping me off completely even after I've complained and argued.
I was suppose to be getting 30mbps, charter is not trust worthy at all.
But.. you get the Google package, wade out the two years :/ you have a nexus 7, free internet and now you can drop them for the low package (which I didn't see them mention in the article) for ever how much it is. Then get the bad ass internet.
I'm sure its more complicated than that but from a gist that's what I gathered someone would probably do.

Sounds like you don't have a docsis 3 modem, I recommend the Motorola Surfboard Gigabit Docsis 3. I'm on the same as you and I always get 30+. Charters equipment sucks, and you have to lease it for a monthly fee. Just buy your own. Wifi speedtest attached.
