Question that I have... - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was uploading one of my themes to test and I performed a nandroid and it gave me an error: Backup not performed. Now I am still on cyans latest build with not theme added and I already do have a nandroid on my sd card. When I want to restore I get error: run 'nandroid-mobile.sh restore' via console. This has happened to me quite a few times and cause I am a safety freak I always wipe and just reinstall cyans latest off my sd card which goes good. Any insight as to my problem?
IF I need to provide more info feel free to let me know what is needed and I will post more.

- Error when trying to backup
- Error when trying to restore

OK well since I have been searching for about a hour on my solution...I actually found another post about it and figured out what the mess was....lol..Guess I gotta remind myself that it creates individual backups instead of rewriting over the original....Well I will try the backup and restore and if I get the same restore issue then I will search some more.

[Q][VZW]Why can't I format my data and cache?

I was trying to do the gingerbread on this new tab for my buddy. But, it failed and for some reason, I cant get it to do anything. Take a look at this picture and help me figure this out please.
If I can atleast get it back to stock, I can try to other methods, however, it wiped off the original bootloader and I cant find the bootloader anywhere.
Help! Please!

Hello, there!
I have the same problem with my tab. I left it OK at the evening and the very next morning I found it dead with black screen. Restore mode didn't work either, so I decided to re-install the software. After installing the Gingerbread it cannot load properly always giving me the same errors.
At the service centre they told me that I need to replace the memory chip, because it's faulty. However, they didn't know the exact problem, because my device wasn't bought in my country.
Did no one know anything about this??? Just found my Tab dead after having ICS on it for nearly 2 weeks....pretty stupid. I'm stuck with all these "can't mount" errors. Nothing I've tried will fix this issue. Any insight would be appreciated on this matter.

[Q] Cannot flash any ROM...

Hello,
I'm fed up with this Nexus One... Short story:
-flashed Evervolv's ICS (with Blackrose suggested values). Everything went ok but due to slowness I wanted to revert back to stock Gingerbread.
-flashed CWM, flashed stock HBOOT (145/95/196). Wiped all caches, user data etc.
-downloaded tons of Passion ROMS from several sites. Tried with different, freshly formatted SD cards.
I have tried to change rom's name to update.zip and flash it from recovery. Does not work (E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(bad) installation aborted").
Also tried to change the name to PASSIMG.zip and start on bootloader but it does not do anything when looking for passimg...
I have looked at similar issues but did not found anything... Any suggestions?

I've been doing these kind of stuffs the last 5 years and i understand how things suppose to work, but for some reason i got to the same point you explaining here without solving it.

[Help]Chinese pop-up after ending call. How to remove it?

Hi.
I recently installed the alliance rom, but because it was always displaying a strange chinese pop-up sometimes, mostly after i finish my calls and thats when i usually get a pop up with the balance on my card(pre-paid), so i removed it and changed to a new one.
So i download a new rom ( galaxy project), did a "wipe data" and also the option to wipe for a new rom and installed it. After installing the new rom, the chinese pop-up is still there =/ I have already deleted a alliance folder on the phone memory because i had a lot folders with icons in my gallery and hoping it would fix this, but no.
I have no idea what it says, but here is the pop-up that i get:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone knows what this is and how can i fully delete it? I don't mind erasing everything on the phone memory and so like a "super clean start".
Thanks!
In recovery format system cache data sdcard .
Boot to download mode flash stock rom via odin .
Thanks.
I was hoping i could fix it some other way with having to put back with the stock rom, but i guess thats what i will have to do.
Here is the fix

[App][4.0+]Live Backup

--===*** ROOT IS REQUIRED ***===--
This app will perform a nandroid backup while you are still using your phone.
Currently the app supports two recoveries: TWRP and CWM are fully supported for Live Backup.
This app DOES NOT use the O-Nandroid shell script.
***You must have the Stericson BusyBox installed***
Finalizing Backup will take a long time. Please be patient as it is not hung up. Do not kill the app while Finalizing Backup is running. If it is making your phone run slow, and this is causing issues, please click "Abort!"
We have also added the ability to upload a backup to dropbox, this will help if you need to format your internal or external storage

[GT P1L] Issue on kernel and also while flashing OMNI

Good morning.
Recently, I've been trying to adventure myself into flashing a working 4.4.x rom on my device but only faced problems so far - managed to get it back on stock working as intended, but still would love to have it on Kitkat. So anyhow, I found issues while flashing a working kernel to run cwm properly, found about three diferent ones but the touchscreen won't work after flashing them - even after flashing a rom. I am going to try tonight Overcome's kernel and a suggestion I read while searching, to extract a .tar from the rom's zip and flash it individually (not sure if it will work).
Also, omni seems weird on my device - after flashing it, it will automatically go into encryption request and I have no idea why (remembering that touchscreen isn't working).

}
Could anyone care to enlight my path onwards? Thank you in advance!
P.S.: The omni instalation above didn't go through due to not flashing gapps I believe, but the touchscreen didn't work at all.
