I found this program last weekend and is awesome. Its called Trapster, but for some odd reason on my Touch Diamond with Windows Mobile 6.1 installed its not opening.
I was able to get it to open at some point, but then it quit and would reboot the phone. Now it will nto open at all. I have uninstalled it and the cf3.5 and reinstalled them both.
Does anyone have any Ideas? I really want this program to work right.
Rom Version 2.00.651.7
Rom Date 3-12-09
radio Version 1.11.00f
Program Memory Free 132.75mb
Storage Memory Free 15.48mb of 91.05
.net cf 3.5 installed to Internal Storage to save memory.
Any ideas?
Bryan

Morning All,
I have some very basic questions for you guys, which I am sure you all would know.
Background
========
I have been using Tofclock WM6.0 for a while now but I have questions about it. Firstly, I installed Google Map on it and then TomTom 6 along with MSN and Office 2007 which gave me a low space error messages. I uninstalled Googlemaps and it was fine. Now when I installed Palringo on it along with TomTom 6 it starts giving me the same error message. I cant install enough software on it.
Questions:
=======
1:How can I backup my SMS Messages and My Contacts so that when I clean my rom and install a new one I will be able to restore all my sms messages and contacts?
2: (Optional) How can I fit all those programs onto my Hima (MSN, OFFICE 2007, Palringo and TomTom 6).
Please help!
Many Thanks
Jay

OKi thanks to Shekar I have found the PMBackup Utility and have backed up my data onto the SD, I am going to restore it again and will let you know guys once I do it.
Thanks dude!!!
Hi there,
Just wanted to point out a few other things, just for your own interest.
1. If you are using Tofclock ROM then Office 2007 is already installed.
2. I have read and seen other people with TomTom installed to their SD card, including maps (which obviously take up much more room then the Himalaya has built in so don't install TomTom maps to your device).
3. It sounds like you haven't unlocked your extension rom. If you unhide and then unlock your extension rom, you can double your storage from 14mb to roughly 30mb. It makes a huge difference in the amount you can install, and is useful if you have no plans to use the extension rom. I believe the device to unlock it is called the Hima_Doc_tool or similar. Do a search for it on the forum (and read up on how to use it before you use it).
Hope this helps.
Morning Jedal,
Thanks for pointing out these issues. I did manage to get the ExtRomUnlock tool and Hima Doc Tool and have successfully increase the space, however now I am using C_Shekar latest 6.1 Rom.
Many thanks for your kind reply.

Jay
Has anyone been able to install Yahoo Go! 3 beta on their Diamond?
When I install the cab the text keeps over-writting itself (perhaps I don't have the the correct cab for Diamond??) Ican sort off "fudge" it but it still bounces me out and shuts down...very frustrating
Anyway, if someone has a cab that works correctly I would appreciate a share...
Thanks
Nobody using Yahoo Go 3
I have the same problem.
Yahoo go 3 a no go for me.
Me too, slow and weird overwriting text. Gave up with them and support didn't want to know.
Same problem here; its a pity because Yahoo! Go is such a good package. Hope Yahoo or HTC will do something about it soon.
I will routinely keep downloading the latest CAB's (if I can find 'em) and trying installs....they're bound to get it right somtime......aren't they?!?!?
Java ME Issue?
Hi Folks,
I've the same problem on my O2 XDA Diamond, too.
IMHO it's not a problem of Yahoo Go! but the Java ME on the Diamond.
Has anybody tried to use any other Java ME JRE on the Diamond?

Actually it is not the JRE. The one supplied with the diamond is Sun Certified so should be allright.
The problem is the Yahoo Go! application which uses a .net java-hack dll thingie. This dll is in effect a midlet wrapper for .net and simply is not working very well.
In other words: it is (as per usual) a Microsoft problem.
anyone get this to work? its as if its the wrong size? it just doesnt work right after instasll
Because Yahoo Go! is still not supported for our HTC Diamond as yet.
Hello,
as today any update ?
Yahoo go beta 3
Even i had the same problem after installing new ROM upgrade. but after uninstalling it completely from my HTC Diamond (even remove folder from /program files/yahoo go) I again downloaded it from yahoo website and installed. Now its working properly.
Error is because we uninstall program but system folder is not deleted.
Try this. May ur problem get solved.
Helo,
I installed WMSTORAGE and it didnt work. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks
You could always try Card Export (http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/)
It's not free, but it may succeed where WM5torage can't.
You can download a trial version to see whether it works for you.
AFAIK, it works on some Kaisers but not all.
Thanks! It worked, but before I buy, does anyome have any free solutions?
Thanks

I have tried to get WM5torage and Softick Card Export to work on my Kaiser (almost stock 5.2.19212) and have never had any luck. With either application (WM5torage using the card export drivers) Windows sees the new removable drive but can't read it - explorer freezes and eventually comes back with a message about the drive not being formatted.
I have also tried nueMassStorage but the results with this are the same - http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueMassStorage.aspx
Since other Kaiser users have reported getting these apps to work I can only assume it is an issue with mine. I have the following apps integrated into the ROM:
M$ Voice Command
VoIP
Windows Live
Adobe Reader
Battery Status
1-Calc
Arcsoft MMS
HTC Album
HTC Audio Manager
HTC Audio Booster
HTC Home Plug
HTC Streaming Media
TC Voice Recorder
HTC X-Button
M$ LiveSearch
RSS Hub
DotFred Task Manager
Total Commander
I also have BlackBerry Connect, M$ Communicator Mobile 2007 and TomTom Navigator 7 installed.
I read that Voice Command can cause issues with storage emulators but I have tried deactivating this and still have the same results. If anyone knows if any of the applications I have are likely to cause problems I would be grateful.

WMStorage Problem
I Try using WMStorage and it freezes my ATT tilt(Kaiser) After I plug it in to USB. Am I doing something wrong or is this app incompatible. Also I cannot un install this app.
I am sorry if this has been answered before, but I have tried to search for an answer to this but not found any.
I've attempted to install TOMTOM 5 on my Diamond with no success and any help would be much appreciated.
I have the disc and the path is D:\disc1\tomtom-navigator-5-Benelux\setup. When I run the install, the dreaded message 'TomTom Setup Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience' is displayed.
I copied the whole disc1 folder to the internal storage on my diamond but all the files were read only. Where am I going wrong??!!??
If you want to install tomtom at your phone then you need a .cab file just do a search at this forum and you will find one the only thing is that its a tomtom 7. and I don't believe it will run the maps of tomtom 5 but whit a good search in Google or somewhere else you maid find aswell the right maps.
Willem
Thanks, but what ,cab file? What is a .cab file?
A .cab file is used to install applications on Windows Mobile devices. Only TomTom 7 or later will work with the Diamond as no earlier versions worked with the inbuilt GPS receiver.

Before I used TT7.9 I had TT6.30 running on my MDA IV, getting a fix was horrible thought, but after that TT6.30 worked just fine...

Is that the reason I can't get the maps to work on the Diamond I picked up on Friday
Strange as the TT version I have, 5.1, worked great on the internal one on the SPVm700 I just moved away from.
My issue is how to get TT to read the maps. Once I've installed the cab files on the device I can't get them to read the maps on the internal storage. If I try and install the cab files on the internal I can't get TT to fire.
Really don't know where to go next - and dn't want to go back to teh m700 when traveling.
Ta muchly
i think its the location on where you're maps should be placed. On my diamond, the map files are located on the ROOT of the internal storage. Thats the only way it seems for it to be found. So it should be place in : Mobile Device\Internal Storage.
Hey guys my Device Storage memory is 88 mb and out of that free is just 15 mb.
I installed only
1) Slide to anwer dialer
2) S2U2
3) .Net Framework
on my device memory rest is all on internal storage.
I have come to know that opera uses around 8-10 mb of storage space. So i want to uninstall it.
But its not there in add and remove programs.
please let me know how to remove Opera.
Also let me know if any other software to be removed to free up the space. Like voice commander (this is also not there in add and remove programs)
Regards,
Vishal
Remove Opera?
If it doesn't show up in 'Remove Programs', it's installed in the ROM which means you can't remove it. The best thing to do if you want loads of storage is to install a 'lite' ROM. That way you can install only the apps you use
i have the original rom from the htc page! give it no solution to deinstall the opera browser, if is no opera browser entry in the program list to shown?
in the windows folder on the integrated storage not found an opera folder, also.
plz help me..
sorry for my bad english.. i hope every guys understand my problem..
you can't remove opera
opera is put in the core os which is placed in a
place where users can't access the storage
so even if one makes a rom without opera
it don't free up storage for users access
it's impossible to remove opera unless you cook your own rom from scratch
if you don't like opera don't use it
and
set the browser you like as std browser
then opera will not bother you as even if you could delete it
it would not give you more storage mem
hi folks
my current issue is slightly different
i've installed opera mini 5 which is great for my needs, however i have various RSS feeds going and if i click on links they will open in opera 4, not 5.
how do i therefore set opera mini 5 to be the default browser?
plus if anyone knows how to get rid of the annoying opera 5 prompt which asks me if i'm happy about the fact that i may be charged for accessing the web, then i'd be very pleased to know it.
thanks in advance from scrumpypaul

Well I only saw that once since I installed the version with all certificates... Try installing the all certificates version and you'll get rid of all the promts
which version did you install?
i downloaded directly to my diamond and saw nothing about certificates.
