Helmi BA WM2k5 AKU3.0 Beta (v.1.2 Beta)
In this beta, Today Themes, BTA2DP, PIMG, Photo Contact, GPS, Animated Gif, Phone with CommManager (signal light turn off while in flight mode) FIXED!
Known issues:
1. There no internal integration beetween Comm Manager and Wifi, cos Different Driver beetween Wizard & BA (I've succesfully combine them in the past but forgot now how to do it again...lol).
2. When BT On, IR On, WIFI On, ActiveSync On, the tray might flick.
3. Some help file and Some Picture/images has been strip out from the ROM to create space for more usefull app.
Tips:
1. Disable Sound (Sound & Notification >> Events) might help system speed.
2. Disable Sound in phone (Phone Settings >> Keypad >> Off) might help phone speed.
3. Backup/Sync ur PIM with active sync first (Contact, email, etc) if u upgrade it from old rom (anything below AKU3.0 ROM) cos PIM management are different from the old rom ur old backup will not work, but ActiveSync will work ok.
Please read the readme file, I dont hv time to update Wiki page, but I'll love if someone do the wiki page for me. btw I think the information in Readme file is enough to flash ur rom and since no 'real' extended rom so no further preparation is needed, but u might consider to make ur old Extended_ROM size to 128kb to make more storage space for ur device.
Btw The EXTROM folder is included all operator curently supported for GPRS/MMS Setting, just delete the .CAB in ExtROM that u dont need.

If ur operator not in the list just delete all file in OPERATOR folder except CAB-Customization-BlueAngel-O2ASIAWWE-19May05.reg.CAB and run it to make a default mms profile that u can change, see README (in .RAR) for more detail.
With the Global Contacts Access plugin from Microsoft U can use the central/global exchangeserver address book. (Thanks to xdaradar for the info)

EDIT: The original O2SMSPLUS.CAB in extrom packet hv problem, Unable to send/recieve sms use the modify version here if u planning to use it. remove the old one, reset device and install the attachment bellow.
or delete the vcard.lnk in \windows\startup will also fix this problem.

Assume Today Theme fix in this ROM too? [Nevermind - see that it is via the Readme]

yes it does, I've edit the post, I means the tray icon is blinkin/flick it also happens in My Aku2.3 right?,
In my device if i turn on Wifi, BT, IR, ActiveSync on the same time. the tray is blinkin a little.

btw, I hv 1 question, Is there any WModem that work on WM5? do you guys ever have a Wmodem that work with BA WM5? please let me know. and also any info about BT SIM ACCESS PROFILE (SAP) is more then welcome...

Another suggestion to make communication easier
So, in the quest to have things going smooth and to make our lives easier, I want to drop in another suggestion.
In Helmi 1.1 we had a few hotfixes in the form of cab files which added/fixed features on the rom
So, my suggestion is to adopt the standard usage of a few KEYWORDS, so that we can instantly identify the attachments in the forum thread
ADDON - cab adds a feature
HOTFIX - cab fixes (or attempts to fix) broken stuff
These identifications could come embedded on the cab name. Additionally, to avoid confusion on which CAB is the latest one, they should use VERSION NUMBERS too.
after the KEYWORD, then would come either the version number, starting at 1.0, or the keyword UNTESTED.
Examples:
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.UNTESTED.cab
10xSpeed_Increase.HOTFIX.1.0.cab
I believe this little detail could make testers' lifes easier...

Downgrade first?
I know this is probably in the wiki, but I didn't find it from a brief search.
I'm currently on Tuma 1.3. If I want to try this, do I need to downgrade to 2003SE first? If not, do I need to wipe the hive, etc?

You can upgrade to Helmi's ROM without downgrading.
But yes, you will need to clear the registry.

SpeedTweak CABs?

am i supposed to change anything before installing the cab file?
edit: i found another cab file with the same name (but larger size) that worked! should perform soft reset after installation.

And as i sad WM5 is turning on by itself without display you can observ it by playing mp3's and turning off your device...

Here it explains how to rename the mui files in windows so that the HTC home will work:
I did following
Installed Total commander
I went to windows folder, I selected all files and folders, then properties, unchecked "read only"
Then I renamed
HTCHome.dll.0409.mui -> HTCHome.dll.0414.mui
HTC HDlg.exe.0409.mui ->HTC HDlg.exe.0414.mui
HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml -> HH_0414_WeatherCities.xml
htcbtql.dll.0409.mui -> htcbtql.dll.0414.mui
(0414 is the norwegian countrycode)
then voila, HTC Home on my norwegian wm6

This commManager works great and I have no problems at all with it
New 26.08 Tips from fultotop regarding problems with installing the touch dialer in wm6 :
To Install reTouched Dialer you need to :
1. Delete delete this registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PhoneCanvas
2. Install Wizard_reTOUCHed_Dialer2.cab
New 26.08 Fultotop have provided a reg fix.

Now, thats weird. I could install it without any problems. Just accept any security warning and install it to the device. Don't know any more ways to "fix" it?

I forgot i had my cable attached to my Herald, thus enabling comm manager, thus not installing.
With no cable attached installed perfectly.

Could you please please please look at that registry entry for me? I need it for my WiFi button to work

I installed this and changed the codes to 041D (Swedish) and my Herald wouldnt boot again.. I had to reflash it with the Wm6 RUU.

u need to kill Comm Manager before u install it. If Comm Manager is still running in the background, itll give u that error. Close it properly first.
Btw the 9 button with 3g comm manager seems to be working fine. Wlan works on my herald (htc wm6)

I've tried the Wizard_reTOUCHed_Dialer2.cab for the new dialer, but could get it to display correctly, but it uninstalled fine.

Growing panel not in panel list?

I have installed the growing panel, and in exitement i went to panelmanager and tried to find the growing panel. But it is not in list.. It is showed in settings/installed programs... Is this becuase i use a danish rom?(generic R2A)
Oh and i have installed the ActiveX thing...

You must install the Active X. And look on the folders: Do you have:
Program Files\Panels\Growing Panels...

I have installed "Sony Ericsson Flash Deployment" is this the correct active X thingy?
And yes i have that panel folder..

The panel installs into the "program files" folder - in German e.g. "programme". If thats the case you have to change the registry entries to "programme" instead of "program files" which they are right after installation. this counts for every non-english installation.

So i simply opened the reg with total commander, found the panels/growing panel, and edited all the paths(6 og 7 i think) thank you

For german roms, you must not edit the registry. Make a new folder in xperia: Program Files - And here you move the tree "Flash Panels" and "Panels - Growing Panel" from Programme

I installed the growing panel on my phone, when i set the panel and try opening it a error message pops out saying " Error occurred with the panelcontainer.exe" any idea how to go about it , help would be really be appreciated...very excited about the panel ...and am hoping SE is gonna step up its game in the panels and come up with some more fancy stff!!

I've the same problem, but in the registry, i see that i need a "flash panel" folder, which i don't have. Is this from a program that i need to install ?

Owner Information Missing need help

I bought a game that requires the owner name to be exactly the same as the name i used when i bought the game for my key to register the game as a full version.
The problem is I upgraded my kaiser to winmo 6.5 and either the 6.5 build doesn't include the owner info app to change that information or the cook decided not to include it in the rom. So my question is this.
Is there a way I can install the owner info app or anyway of manually adding the owner info into the registry so I can play my game without a time limit?

The answer was on the second post of the aforementioned ROM thread, a simple [Ctrl]+F found it in no time.
- Missing 'owner information' in settings / personal. (ONLY applies to version 1 of this ROM. I have fixed this in version 2 of the ROM). This application was disabled by Microsoft, but fortunately you can enable it with a simply registry trick. Enabling this is critical as many 3rd party applications won't register properly without the owner information.
Remove the "Redirect" value in the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Owner]

I actually Use a French WM6.5 ROM for My Xperia based on a HD2 ROM
My problem is that my computer see the Xperia as a HD2 I found some keys in registry under the name "HD2"
My question is what defaut is value for Xperia in
HKLM>Ident>Name
HKLM>Ident>OrigName
HKLM>Software>Microsoft>ActiveSync>DeviceModel
Is there others keys to modify to have the good phone in my synch center?

Go to your Device Info and edit it in your System Settings.

If you have Advanced Configuration Tool you can just go to that and edit it from there under Network. If you don't have it you can go to my signature under "X1 Stuff" and download it from there.

It's not the "name" of the phone I wanna change but the "type"
My phone is named as I want but it's seen as a HD2.

this is general section, not rom related, but well...
all keys listed by you are filled with rom name/version info, so that's probably not what you are looking for
but in \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ActiveSync\DeviceManufacturer it says "X1"

And for DeviceModel?
Can someone upload the default /windows/sync.ico for the X1 for a test please?

well, my current value there is "Valkyrie v5"

I saw that keys are modulable
All We have to do is change the keys as we want (I change DeviceManufacturer by SonyEricsson and Device Model By Xperia)
I'll try to replace the default Icon when I found It
