new member and tilt user

Hello everyone, I just got a tilt by AT&T and found this forum while searching for ways to improve/add missing features. I have not worked with this type of software before but hope to learn a lot (likely at the cost of some frustration). Any recommendations on how or what you have done to improve the phone? Thanks,

I don't suppose you searched for it in Market, did you?

since you at least asked in the correct place i shall tell you. weather widget donate or beautiful widgets. both have the flip style clock

I don't recommend the Beautful widgets because they hog up more system resources. But that's based on my experience with it. The Flip Clock for the Weather Widget requires a lot less and can be themed.

Yeah me too. They both come up when you go on Market and search "Flip Clock", which makes sense.

I use weather widget, he said he searched for it but that ? Has been asked almost as much as help, I think I bricked my phone

That's productive. Why does this forum have a such a musky scent of asshole to it?
The majority of screencaps showing off cyanogen's mod typically show the Weather Widget Donate on it's first page, as if to say that it's part of the mod package itself. But, yes of course, why wouldn't everyone just assume that they'd go to the market and download something called "weather widget" when they're looking for a clock. Golly, lusers sure are silly! Thank god you guys are here to keep that pedantic nerd stereotype alive and well.

hey do you even know how to read??? i was the first person to tell him what to search for in the market, his question was answered. i posted a joke but apparently you lacked the comprehension skills to realize it was a joke and not a flame. if i was flaming the OP i would have never gave him/her an answer to begin with. I think you need to add things like:
If you want a stable Android 1.6, Then you will want myns warm donut
If you want a stable Android 2.1, Then you will want mssmison's eclair
ect....
Say what things like crobs tutorial is (nand install instructions)
lay it out nicer instead of it being in a paragraph. Put things in one line format. ect..
But this will get lost in the sauce without a sticky.

In both these examples, I don't see the word please, thank you, or even a question mark. You're not asking, you are presuming people are ignorant and rudely telling them to do something they may have already done, without bringing them any closer to a solution. That's why people get upset.
If finding every answer is as simple for you as you imply, you should either help them find an answer or do not contribute.

It would be great if you get this stickied but all of these references have been referenced oh so many times already, It doesn't matter how many times threads like this get posted people are naturally lazy and don't know how to do things for themselves its a trait you have to teach yourself when you are very very young These people are not going to search or read they are going to go for the easy out and just ask all the meanwhile pissing everyone off. I say just go about what you do and ignore the same old same old, let them learn, some lessons need learned the hard way.

Very strange, and it was my first dream in a long time, let alone ever dreaming of a phone or software lol
so in my dream i had an in-person discussion with NilsP about his ROM about how i think he should add the 5 latest apps to the transparent dropdown. No biggie, 10min convo
Now im warped a few days later and im at like a BBQ party, and i meet someone and start showing him my phone and a few ROMs i had on backup
I pull down the transparent dropdown and see some chrome looking skulls, with red glowy eyes ... 5 of them across the top of the dropdown where the apps would be!!
So i say wtf is this? Maybe i never really broke in NilsP's ROM and its just now initializing or something??
Now the phone reboots itself and its some chromed skull theme, and the 5 recent apps are in the dropdown!!
In my dream i was kicking myself trying to figure out how the hell this ROM all of a sudden had it! Or did NilsP find a way to hack into my phone and add the feature i begged him for??
Last thing i remember is being puzzled and stumped, then i woke up

It's the truth. Just take a look at the number of off topic posts in this forum alone each day. There are the best devs on xda, but along with that comes some of the dumbest posts I've seen on any forum.
