new member and tilt user

Hello everyone, I just got a tilt by AT&T and found this forum while searching for ways to improve/add missing features. I have not worked with this type of software before but hope to learn a lot (likely at the cost of some frustration). Any recommendations on how or what you have done to improve the phone? Thanks,

Just take out some time from your daily life and search Do not ask a question unless you're certain it hasn't been asked before. You'll be shun upon. I'm just saying take some time, search, and you'll be a pro soon enough.

Quick ? about android 2.0

I have been hearing a lot about 2.0 and was wondering if it was goin to come to the HTC Dream, or only to new phones with the droid platform. Really I was only interested in the new Maps with the navigation integrated into it.

w0w the amount of noobs we get and have here is rediculous, I'm mean really this site needs some restructuring. New moderators/admins. I mean honestly this is getting out of hand, and automatic registration needs to be disabled and the people who are registering need to be reviewed, it would be hard to review the new members if there is a lot of registrations in one day. But this site should think about starting a sister site, like www(dot)android-developers(dot).com

Yea sorry I dont sit in my gamer chair with two cell phones taped to my junk so i can get the full effect of "vibrating calls". I have a real job and dont have time to sit around forums all day to get my rocks off with new developments. I just want navigation on my maps and the easiest way to do it. Thanks anyway.

all you had to do was go on the first page of the android development section and you would've found it in a jiffy (yeah i said jiffy). and the search button actually helps you find stuff. learn to use it or you'll get torn a new one every time you make a stupid useless thread like this one. good day.

wow wtf now im dreaming of ROMs and Chefs??

Very strange, and it was my first dream in a long time, let alone ever dreaming of a phone or software lol
so in my dream i had an in-person discussion with NilsP about his ROM about how i think he should add the 5 latest apps to the transparent dropdown. No biggie, 10min convo
Now im warped a few days later and im at like a BBQ party, and i meet someone and start showing him my phone and a few ROMs i had on backup
I pull down the transparent dropdown and see some chrome looking skulls, with red glowy eyes ... 5 of them across the top of the dropdown where the apps would be!!
So i say wtf is this? Maybe i never really broke in NilsP's ROM and its just now initializing or something??
Now the phone reboots itself and its some chromed skull theme, and the 5 recent apps are in the dropdown!!
In my dream i was kicking myself trying to figure out how the hell this ROM all of a sudden had it! Or did NilsP find a way to hack into my phone and add the feature i begged him for??

It's the truth. Just take a look at the number of off topic posts in this forum alone each day. There are the best devs on xda, but along with that comes some of the dumbest posts I've seen on any forum.

I usually ignore the dumb posts and the front page of this forum continually stays on topic about new gifts to the community. You take back that comment or we're done talking. You lumped a lot of people into that.
EDIT: LOL! I searched yours too. Found the nicest one was requesting a link to a kernel for MIUI. You really want to POST HERE? Seriously? You guys are really making me mad!

Someone made the comment in another thread that I almost replied to but didn't.
The comment was along the lines of "devs are dropping like flies". The posts by OP are one reason why. You share your hard work with everyone, and all they do is cry and complain and beg for more.
This is one of the reasons why I only build ROMs for myself. I don't want to deal with people like OP.

Leaving XDA

Hello GUIse,
I know this may seem a little sudden due to me releasing an update of my theme literally 2 minutes ago, but, the timing couldn't of been any worse. I've received some sort of bad news (to me) and I feel I don't have the strength to keep supporting/making themes anymore. Plus, I now have a new job which is taking most of my time up anything. So, due to these 2 statements above, I can no longer create themes as much as I would love to. This is probably the wrong section but I only posted into the SGSII section anyways. I would like to thank everybody for supporting me. Especially Pulser, who forgave me over the Infusion controveusy.
I'm sorry to B3311 & Pele as I cannot support the Black Android Theme anymore, and sorry to my donators.
I hope to see you in the future.

It's not only that it's just this theming business is stressing me out. Don't get me wrong, I know how to theme like the back of my hand, but due to this news and my new job I only have time for me if you get what I mean?

dont mind the themes. i didnt use them, well at least me. cuz i like stock theme. but i know its a lot of work. i did only 20% and give up cuz i know i'll change it soon. But people using your themes will understand.
