I seem to be the only one so forgive me if im slow or dont know something i should. Some of these ROMS are do not explicitly state they are GSM or CDMA...How am i supposed to know? Is there ANY way we can seperate the ROMS so i dont go and Flash my ROM with a GSM one? I have before but its annoying reloading another ROM from it...

That is why there is a separate section under Rhodium General specifically for the CDMA devices. Furthermore it is well documented that this forum in general caters to the GSM devices. PPCGeeks, I think, is the major CDMA forum.

question regarding CDMA TP2's when they release

will they require a different HardSPL? different Roms?
or does the phone use a driver for the Radios that is not part of the Roms?
just trying to learn more. if the CDMA TP2's will be left out to dry from a development point i won't bother with one.

don't worry, we usually take care of CDMA devices too. but "the" site for them is the ppcgeeks forum. the CDMA rom cooks are there, and that's where I posted my CDMA SPL's too.
PPC Geeks probably will have a forum for the CDMA version

ppcgeeks doesn't even have a section for the Rhodium yet.
With the release date just around the corner for the NA carriers, they'll probably need to have a section up for the Touch Pro2 soon

Where are the CDMA Roms Located?

I see one CDMA Rom and surely there are more. Please, where are they located? Just a suggestion, why not make a section for just CDMA Roms.

ppcgeeks.com is where the CDMA stuff is usually at. XDA is the master of the GSM phones
everythingdiamond.info is starting to take off as well for CDMA phones.
Have you seen ppc geeks lately? Login doesnt work right. Updates are non existant, sucks really....

Is there a list of 'official' roms?

I was wondering if there is a list somewhere of "official" roms. By that, I mean manufacturer created. We have the usual Android that is made by Google and also the HTC Hero rom, but there are others on the way (like the moto blur and whatever SE have in the works) and I would like to see what I can do with them, which parts can be used in custom roms and just generally have a tinker.
I know there are lists of the custom roms around, but is there something like that for manufacturer roms?
Dev phone 1http://www.htc.com/www/support/android/adp.html#s3
Google I/O Device (Ion)http://www.htc.com/www/support/andro...io-device.html
Here's two.
There's a question mark in the thread title, so I can see why Q&A would be a highly inappropriate place for this thread
Testing has listed the ION/ADP1 ROM links, Rogers HTC Dream ROMs do have to be ported to the T-mobile G1, so there's no point in finding links for the original ROM. I don't believe any MotoBlur ROMS *shudder* have been released.
Ah my apologies, I sometimes forget the other sections exist since I spend all of my time in the this part.
Thanks for the links. Well your shudder at the moto blur rom is kind of my point. There's bound to be some parts of it which are nice and can be put to use in other roms, which is why I'm looking for a list of the manufacturer roms. I'm kind of hoping if Android gets ported to platforms other than mobiles we will start to see features that can be used on our phones which expand on the standard smartphone features. That's when Android will really start to take down the iPhone.

Was your aim to point out what was already pointed out?
If it was, congratulations. I already apologised. Try reading the rest of the topic in future.
I can't move it now so you'll just have to stop crying.

TP2 T-Mobile --- Use on ATT?

Damn, wrong forum. This should have gone in the general discussion forum. I'm really not sure why it's here, I must have been looking at two pages. Sorry.
A buddy has offered to sell me his TP2. He's on T-mobile, I'm on ATT. If he gets the unlock code, can I just pop in my ATT sim and start using it or do I need to do something else?
Also, once I get to know the phone I'll probably want to install one of the custom ROMs; are there problems with doing this?
Thanks in advance. Yes, I searched the forums. I have been active on the ATT TP forum, so I'm going to be new here! Hope this forum is as friendly as that one is!

yes put your sim card in and it will work, and no there is not any problems with flashing custom roms you just have to read the guides before you do anything, mostly if its your first time, first you have to HardSPL the fone if not done already, there is a guide for that, and then you should task29 the fone then flash xD also you can flash a radio, look through these forums and you will fine how to complete these, good luck!
Thank You!
Thank you! That's what I wanted to hear! I'm getting the phone tomorrow, so I look forward to checking this forum out more thoroughly!
The only other thing you may want to take note of is that you will not be able to access AT&T's 3G network on the T-Mobile Touch Pro2. The hardware radio does not support their 3G network. EDGE and GPRS will work fine, however.

Verizon one is a different forum!!!

Perhaps, the mods would be kind enough to put a sticky in the forums that state that the Verizon HTC One is NOT supported in this forum, that it in fact has a completely different section on XDA...
Just saying... you know, so people dont go flashing roms from this section on a verizon... which I can tell you from experience, doesnt work... or works enough to be REALLY frustrating...
Anyway... itd probably help out A LOT of people looking to run a custom rom on their shiny new One...
To be fair, most ROM threads say what versions of the One it is compatible with so there's no excuse to flash something wrong...
