Official ROM From Siemens, unofficial 1.40 WM05 most stable?

I am just curious as to what you guys think.
I have been using WM05 for about a week now and decided i can't deal with the current bugs so I am going back to 1.40. I also realized i can go back further and go back to the official rom from siemens.
Also, can someone post the official SX66 rom from siemens? I can't get to the site for somereason.
Back to my first question.....which do you guys think is most stable?
Also, besides WM 10 why is 1.40 improved over the official version from siemens? Honestly, I only used the siemens rom for one day and i immediatly upgraded to the 1.40 rom...so i am unfamiliar with the lack of features found in that old rom.

You can't get to the Siemens SX66 site now because they have totally removed the phone and all links to the phone from their site. I have no idea yet why they have done that.

I had used Siemens officail ROM for months and recently about a month ago, changed over to 1.40 from SX66 standardisation project. THis 1.40 ROM is equally stable and I am happy with it.

Current and Stable Wizard ROM?

I see there are a bunch of ROMS in the FTP, I am at a loss to which one I should be using however. I've been trying a few and some of them run laggy yet others run fine but have some stuff missing (one of them didn't have a button to disconnect from GPRS?)
I'm pretty new to this, I have a "Orange SPV M3000" from Orange NL but I don't want the Dutch ROM on there..
Just a simple question, what English ROM is currently the best one I should be using, and what Extended ROM files should I have as a necessity?

the one from Qtec 1.6.7.1 is the best i think

Since all the WM5 ROMs have been removed from the FTP site could someone please PM me with the Qtek ROM mentioned above? Or upload it to yousendit.com and post a link to this thread (or PM it).

Hey, is it possible to unlock and rewrite the Extended Rom on this version?

What I've heard is that past version 1.6.x.x that the Extended ROM is READ ONLY.. I've been having problems trying to put things into my Extended ROM. I even reverted to an older firmware just to update it, without success I might add.
Is there any work around??

oh i thought that the 1.6 not have the rom locked :-(

Go for the WWE AKU2 rom. I am using the 2.8.7.1 one from Qtek on the Vario.
There are operator specific cabs available for ie gprs and mms

Hi all,
I'm a newbie here and in ppc word.
I'd like to know where and how I can get the rom update for the qtek 9100 ppc. I've tried to register my ppc on qtek's site but it does not work.
I have registered this site but I can't get access to xda's ftp.
Can some one give me the procedure to:
1) download the latest qtek9100 rom update
2) install it

WM6.1 cooked ROM

None of the links here are currently good for the WM 6.1 cooked ROMs. Can someone PM me that has it handy? I'm looking for the "normal" ROM, not the lite one.

I think you are going to cook it yourself. most of the time people cook roms to remove operator branding. not put it back in.
this is a fairly plain ROM. I am not sure what you mean by it being AT&T.

I just checked the WIKI and the only one original shipped GERMAN ROM I could find is WM6.1. Isn't there any original WM6.0 ROM? I wouldn't mind if it would be a O2 or T-Mobile branded one - just need the 6.0 rather than the 6.1.
