Hi, my problem is that i want send and receibed fax service in the HTC Shift and windows 7 no detect modem/fax internal. I only can internet navigation, but no more services. Is possible this option for use FAX. I have WM con CAB Liberate, someone know if the problem is the ROM of WM that the Shift have to default? I think that problem is because HTC Shift not use Phone option.

I am enjoying my Kaiser very much, but still got some problems....

When I first used my TyTn II, after charging, I logged on to MSN with no problems. Haven't used MSN since....
I don't think the Vodafone signal is so good where I live but I can usually connect to the Internet using Explorer or Opera, but I can't seem to make MSN connect.
I was in the city centre today where the signal should be strong but MSN still would not connect.
It does not give an error message, just that I might be in an "area with bad reception".
Vodafone tell me my services are all OK for my phone...
If I use WiFi at home, I still cannot connect MSN using WiFi
I am not sure where to begin to diagnose the problem with MSN. I will start searching now........ but any advice is appreciated...
edit... I am wondering whether to unistall MSN and re-install

are you using windows live messenger or are you using OZIM or another IM program?
I know with OZIM, since it uses text it doesn't connect when you are on wifi.
I was using the MSN thatis built into the ROM!!

I know you are in UK and things are different but the IM program built into the rom for me was OZIM which uses texting. I would suggest to go the sticky of useful cabs and download Windows Live, thats has Live Messenger Built into it.

I know that some olders versions of CE-stars could lead to malfunctioning of live messenger=/ so even if you aren't azn if you install language support for other languages it might still screw things up

My Kaiser has Windows live and MSN, but not working..
I am Irish, but I have Japanese display and input installed on my Kaiser...
I guess I could remove them and see if my MSN works again..!!
Then if it does not work, install the newest cab for Windows Live and MSN..

I really do not understand why my MSN does not connect... when Agile Messenger does...
edit - I did a hard reset and installed everything from scratch, checking one by one, if MSN worked.
It stopped working after the installing of Japanese dispaly and input software...

You need install, webcameraplus 2.0
on desktop: start webcameraplus, and: tools/settings/language:english (it isn't work with any languages for me)
on device: start program. the front camera doesn't work, switch on: menu/source/2 camera
menu/settings/network: if you connect via usb: check auotodetect ip on
if using wi-fi, write your device ip adress. port: 2047
push start.
(it will connect. when u see nothing on desktop, push stop and start again.)

another webcam question:
we all know that wings supports SKYPE and MSN.
is it possible to chat via MSN or skype (etc) on the HTC WINGS and use the internal (front) CAMERA, so that the other side can see you through the camera while having a MSN conversation?

are you sure? what a waste of potential. this internal camera could be used as real webcam for conversation via the htc wings on msn.... are you sure it doesnt work somehow? how do u know its impossibe?

Why don't you write an inquiry to the people of MS to embed the Microsoft Portrait in the WLM application, i did the same some weeks ago when I received my Orbit 2 (HTC Polaris)

You could always try Card Export (http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/)
It's not free, but it may succeed where WM5torage can't.
You can download a trial version to see whether it works for you.
AFAIK, it works on some Kaisers but not all.

I have tried to get WM5torage and Softick Card Export to work on my Kaiser (almost stock 5.2.19212) and have never had any luck. With either application (WM5torage using the card export drivers) Windows sees the new removable drive but can't read it - explorer freezes and eventually comes back with a message about the drive not being formatted.
I have also tried nueMassStorage but the results with this are the same - http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueMassStorage.aspx
Since other Kaiser users have reported getting these apps to work I can only assume it is an issue with mine. I have the following apps integrated into the ROM:

I read that Voice Command can cause issues with storage emulators but I have tried deactivating this and still have the same results. If anyone knows if any of the applications I have are likely to cause problems I would be grateful.

WMStorage Problem
I Try using WMStorage and it freezes my ATT tilt(Kaiser) After I plug it in to USB. Am I doing something wrong or is this app incompatible. Also I cannot un install this app.
I'm trying to develop a pice of software in Visual Studio (C#).
My program works great at my machine using a GPS-simulator which sending streams on COM1.
When trying to deploy the program on my HTC Touch Diamond I'm using the COM4 port. The software succesfull connect to the COM4 using System.IO.Ports.SerialPort(...). I've added a DataReceived on this SerialPort, but when I run the program on my mobile it doesn't receive any data.
Does anybody know why?
Please say if you need further information.
