bottom bar became GREY

I don't why but seems after running the "Voice Commander", the bottom bar in WM6 becomes GREY and I am unable to find where to turn it back to Black. Last time I was re-format the system but now it's GREY again.
Anyone can help on this ?

Try to go into the Wallpaper function and tell it to use the default Wallpaper. I had a similar issue with my background and this is how it got fixed.

Thats normally affected by themes. Try changing a different theme, and then changing back into your black theme, it should change the top and bottom bar colours

"Wallpaper function and tell it to use the default Wallpaper" won't fix.

change Today theme to "Windows Mobile 6.1", and then change back to "Htc black" still the same

have u tried doing it with Touch Flo 3D deactivated?

yes, alrey did it. few days ago, i can fix it with a hard reset only.

Another silly question: what software did you install on it?
If none, then perhaps we are dealing with a more serious problem, like a defective ROM, in which case you may have to have it serviced

go to windows/startup directory and remove any startup services you don't need, in the event you have Marking installed, remove Mapking SMS and then soft reset, you will see the grey bar gone and black bar should be back.

YEAH... remove MapKing SMS from Startup fix the problem immediately.

Thank you Viao, you just made my day, i hard resetted it and reinstalled everything and it was OK for 3 hours then it turned grey again, i was so pissed.
Sorry for bumping an old thread thou. but i just gotta thank this guy for finding the problem.
Speaking of which, what does Mapking sms do?

I have suffered this problem for few weeks..

are you installed MAPKING R12? Grey bar will be caused by its auto startup program, check the startup folder.

I just made a wallpaper with the logos and the black lines to line up with the TF3D Skin... Just a little trickery! I'll be looking into skinning TF3D soon...

I feel like an idiot asking this, but I've looked and searched and am stuck. How the heck do I change the font color of the text on the home page from black to white? I'm speaking of the the txt "Call History" and the calendar items that show up on the home page.

is is possible to have more items on the home screen?
I tried to put other stuff like date but it will not allow me to. the only way would be to uncheck 3dtouchflo and then you can put anything on the home screen. please help. thanks

I have not heard of a tweak or reg edit to accomplish this as of yet.. I'm sure it wont be long! I've seen some skins with different font colors though...

What program do you use to take screenshots? Just wondering which would be the most efficient...

I think it's because kane159 has different files in his windows directory,
exploring the .tsk, i've find this entry for the ok button and i think its these files:
\Windows\classicblue_bubble_ok.png
\Windows\classicblue_bubble_ok_disabled.png

Very nice theme kane159 but I have two problems with it. In Resco Explorer when i try to search for file I can't see the letters that I had write in the search field. And same goes to when I write in address box in Opera 9.7. I'm using the (W)QVGA version.

This looks great with your color taskbar! Now if I could just get the 3G icon instead of the EV icon with your color taskbar...

Great work, I want also to stress the fact that you adressed one of the inconsistencies of most if not all the other themes: you also skinned the system ugly white background like in contacts, calendar etc... !!! Kudos
One aesthetic suggestion: the frame of the bottom buttons is not closed on the lower side and to me it seems like the whole page is a few pixels too long and appears truncated. A conventional 4 sides button will solve it easily, what do you think?

it conflicts with Esmertec Jbed's font colour.

i have installed jw black theme and wanted to switch back to the default one, but now i don´t have the round buttons on the bottom bar on my wm6.5.3 rom.
my buttons are looking like this:

I think that u switch to the classic blue theme and u may get the needed

that´s right, but i want the htc black theme back.

I am not sure, but the following registry keys may solve your problem if you are running wm6.5.3 or wm6.5.x. Here it is:
Disable bubble tiles in menubar softkeys of wm6.5.x
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"Enabled"=dword:00000000
Note: Default is 1 so as to enable the bubble tiles in menubar, which is what you are missing.
In case you are interested, here is something else:
Enable text instead of icons in menubar softkeys of wm6.5.x
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\BubbleTiles]
"TextModeEnabled"=dword:00000001
Note: Default is 0 so as to enable icons instead of texts.

It is a reported problem with the windows mobile operating system while using the black theme. The other classic blue theme does not have this problem. I think a software upgrade or downgrade should make it back to the usual buttons. I mean the current version has some design issues like what you are experiencing.

hi, i have a palm treo 750 with the new wm6.5.3 build 28something, all its bugs are already fixed but when i select a new theme it stays buggy no matter what color it is it looks just like that picture instead of round buttons even with classic blue, thanks in advance.

THIS IS GREAT! I even applied it to my WM6.5 (Not 6.5.x) and noticed my top and bottom bars became white! This is awesome! The only problem though, the texts in the task bars are also white. How can I change them to black?

Yup it worked well until I reset the phone. Using TAEL 23xxx rom.

I followed the color patcher and font patcher and the only thing that it changed to black was the "start" word. Everything use remained white on a white background. Any way to fix this?
