Weather Widget Donate - Loading Data? - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I find I am continually removing the weather widget from my desktop and reinstalling it because it always has problems loading. This happens with every ROM. Is there something I can do to fix this?

If it's a persistant problem it could be with the skin data.. Try deleting the default skin from /prettyweather-googlecode-com on your sdcard.. That should force it to re-download.

Your excluding in task killer right?

kill launcher?

I want to be able to have a script that kills the launcher app in order to fix things like live folders not opening up or whatnot. Does anyone know which process I need to kill? I ran a `ps` but I don't see com.android.launcher or anything with home or launcher in the name. I know I can just go to manage apps and do a force stop on home but I don't want to have to do that. Also I don't want to have to reboot. Just a nice equivalent to ctrl->alt->backspace would be nice. Thanks.

Don't know if this is the best way, only way or what. But it seemed to work.
killall android.process.acore

Not all apps show up in app drawer

Hey guys, am I crazy or do some apps not show up in the app drawer? Is this a problem with the specific ROM I'm on, or something else? New to Android.. only had my Nexus One since the end of May. For the record, I'm using Kang-o-Rama 0.9b2 (the FRF72 build).

I'm guessing you use either launcher pro or adw launcher and the apps not showing in the drawer are the apps stored on your memory card...
the problem lies in the order in which everything loads up on boot.
2 fixes for now-
1-install apps to phone memory
or 2-simply force stop launcher (after each reboot)

Using ADW, aye. But I haven't, as far as I know, installed any apps to my SD card.

for your current rom, yes. once the final release comes out I don't expect the problem. However, this is an adw problem and not froyo so maybe anders needs to make a change.
I deal with it because I like adw launcher, but hope it gets fixed.
i'm having a problem when upgrading to kang o rama 1.0 b1 CM6....whereby my ADW launcher keep on computing....so that i can't force stop it to bring back my installed apps...any ideas?
Thanks
Easy fix! Thanks!

Weather App Crashes

Hello,
I was trying to change the location in the weather app and suddenly the app crashes and I can't open it again. When I press on the app icon it opens and closes instantly.. I tried to clear data and these things but none.
Is there any solution for this problem?
Thanks in advance.

"Transparent clock & weather". Sometimes it doesn't seem to update my location but other than that it's great! Very configurable.
