Error Message: "A problem has occurred with services.exe" - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Occasionally i would receive that error message
"A problem has occurred with services.exe"
Sometimes it would appear after a phone call or after sending sms. I haven't notice anything wrong with the phone as of yet. Anybody know what exactly is causing this message to appear??
Thanks in advance.

I have had the same messages with the R1 firmware, with several non-standard firmwares, and after a restore with several backup software except with SPB Backup that makes perfect restores.
The only way to avoid these messages is hard reset + reinstall all your data and all your programs.

problems with gmail

I'm having problems sending messages in my gmail. I have no problem reviving but when I try to send my messages r stuck in the out box no matter how many times I refresh my gmail. I was wondering if anyone ran into this problem and found a solution. I would like to fix this without a wipe and reflash.

Tried rebooting? How about wifi?
Yup tried revolting any I get the same problem whit or without WiFi.
Did you find a solution? I realised this morning, that I can't send mails through Gmail from my G1 anymore. Already tried rebooting, but that didn't solve it. I got no wifi at hand, but will test this evening and post my findings then.
Don't mind it. Just found a solution myself. Just cleared Gmail Apps' data and everything is back to normal. Perhaps that will work for you too, if you did not find a solution yet.
Yep,
I had a problem with sending and updating what was new and was unread on the website. Clearing the gmail storage and the other gmail email cache fixed it right up.
Clearing the gmail storage/data worked for me as well but the solution only worked for a day and then I had to do it again. I will have to see how long it lasts this time around. Does anyone know the reason why this is occurring? While the above is technically a solution, it appears to only be a quick fix. If we can figure out what is causing the problem then it won't happen again.
I can tell you that it happened to me for the first time when I upgraded from Cyanogen 3.6.8.1 to 3.9.8. I downgraded and still had the problem and that's when I cleared the storage. I really don't think it had anything to do with the upgrade/downgrade especially since I used a Nandroid restore which put a stable version back on my phone.
Just my 2 cents.
Well, somewhere I read that this happened to someone after updating / installating an app using the send intent. I am not sure whether it was at that time I updated Bluex, but it may be.
I dwnloaded bluex a lil ago maybe that might be it I'm going to unistall and see
Maybe, but I have to say that I only had those problems once and they did not reoccur for me.
Also I did not have that problem when running the official ROM. But I only had Bluex for a short while on the official, because receiving files made me root my phone.
Any updates on this issue? I don't have Bluex, fyi. However, I occasionally have this problem, and only clearing the Gmail storage fixes it... for a short time anyway. It's very frustrating, considering this is a Google phone and that's my primary email. I need to be able to send my emails quickly without having to constantly clear the storage...especially since I have 75+ mb free on the device and hundreds of mb free on my ext3 partition. As best as I can tell, this also affects synchronizing with Google's servers (obviously)... so if I delete an email on my phone or pc, it doesn't show that change on the other device.

com.android.phone keeps crashing ...

Hi!
Posted this before in another phones forum. Probably here more sensible:
I am having problems with the above application. My Acer Liquid E (I'd opt for an extra forum for this phone ...) keeps crashing. It is reproduceable: when I log on the network the first call I receive is without problem, when I receive the second call com.android.phone crashes and the network is dropped (input SIM key). Then I can again receive one call without problem.
My phone is rooted (z4root) and I use Titanium Backup. I can solve the problem by resetting to factory settings. But it keeps coming again after a couple of days. Of course I would like to know what causes this but at first I would be very happy to know how to get rid of the problem when it is there ... Titanium is not so helpful:
When I restore the Titanium backups:
-I first restored my user applications plus settings without problems, after this everything still works
-Then I restored some of the green marked backups in Titanium Backup. After this the phone starts to have this problem again.
Does anybody know which backup this might be? I mean: solving the problem itsself would be great but at first it would be nice to be able to get the phone working quicker than factory reset. Maybe this could be achieved by resetting to an old backup with Titanium Backup (just need to know which one ...)
Help would be appreciated! Been browsing the net a long time and could find lots of ideas how to solve this but none worked so far.
My system settings:
-Acer Liquid E
-FroYo from the start (updated from .8 to .14 when I first had the problem)
-removed some apps from the rom - but nothing essential and I know that non-essential sounding things like maps or talk are actually essential. I removed things like twitter, roadsync, etc.

Don't restore data nor system settings with titanium backup

can't access sms after ics OTA

Just did OTA ics update and whenever i try to access my text messages whether it be from stock sms app or hancent, it loads forever.
Anyone else have this or can steer me in a right direction? I did have about 10k sms if i remember i suppose that might be causing this.
The more messages you have the slower things become. I limit myself to about 500 messages a thread, but I know I don't have 10k messages.
Also I recommend performing a factory reset after installing the OTA. Despite the best efforts, going from 2.x to 4.x while trying to maintain your original data will have it's errors. Factory resetting will also erase your messages. Two birds, one stone.

Wear apps will not sync

I believe troubles began after formatting internal storage in TWRP. I've followed the emergency restore thred to the letter, I've changed roms on my phone, I've restored phone to completely stock. I can pair the watch no problem and google now notification, email notifications, etc... come through just fine. No matter what I do, apps will not sync to watch. Any advice on where to go from here?

Okay I lied. I missed a step in the emergency restore thread and it's working now. Sorry for wasting server space XDA

Clock and Google Now call does not work after 5.1

Ever since I upgraded to 5.1, the alarm does not seem to work. I installed timely, google clock but all of them seem to crash/stop working and gives me the option to force close when I keep the alarm. Any one have this problem or have a solution for this?
Also, I am unable to make google now make any calls. Previously, i use "google now - call *contact name* " and would be able to make calls. Now only this is not working, and some times when this actually works, google says the whole number (eight million, three hundred etc etc ) and wants me to repeat it to make the call. But all other google now command is working flawlessly. Any solution for this?

That may be what you have to do in order to fix this. Dirty flashes are pretty notorious for breaking random stuff.
You could try figuring out which apps are involved (clock is easy; Google Now will be more complicated) and then booting into safe mode and clearing the data for those apps.
