Use an SD card to expand the amount of memory you can store data to. And then install programs to the card.

Cant you just plug it into your computer via a card reader and look at whats on it and where you can get some of your space back?
Or get a bigger storage card
The problem is not the storage card (sorry if that confusing) It the internal storage memory. i am down to 1.75mb for storage and 60mb for programs. I save everything to my memory card, so i dont know why the onboard memory is full.
So its your internal memory? if thats the case make sure to clear ie cookies and also your email attachments will take up alot of space along with mms. Make sure to clear them often and that should help free up some space also you can flash a naked rom or try the one i use, it has alot of free space.
turned out i had accrued 60mb of cookies. Thanx for all the help
lol yeah that happen to me before, just remember to keep clearing it when your done and your quite welcome =)
That's alot of cookies!!! I like my with chocolate ;O

Apps on both internal mem AND SDcard?

How feasible would it be to develop a way to have the option of installing apps on either the internal memory or the sdcard? My experience with apps on a class 6 sdcard has been that it isn't as stable as apps on the internal mem. There are obviously some apps, like widgets, that make more sense running from internal mem since they start up with the system and are always running. While apps2sd has obviously been a good work around in many cases, it is also a kludge to get around a the severe limits on internal memory and the lack of an out of the box option to install apps on the sdcard.

[Q] Internal SD Memory issues

Hello everyone, I'm using SGS I9000, with Darky's V10.1 ROM. I recently discovered that my memory space have become extremely low, System Storage has only 1.53GB Storage available space. However, there is a category called USB Storage, where a total space of 13.43GB, with 11.53GB available. I have no external SD card inserted.
So i go to memory usage area, and i try to shift some apps to the "usb storage", apps like angry birds, adobe reader etc, but it gives me this error message "Failed to move application. Not enough memory."
Anyone know what's wrong with my phone?

you have 2 SD in your SGS, one internal and one external
The problem is, i don't have 2 SD in my SGS right now. There's only the internal one, and there is no external sd card inserted in my phone. How can it be possible that my internal memory space has only 1.53GB space left when i don't have much stuffs installed at all?
i9000 has 3 different storages Eg : 16GB
2GB - Phone Storage (ROM)
14GB - Internal SD (Internal Storage)
XGB - External SD (renamed to USB Storage)
Normally the applications are installed in Phone Storage. Don't know why cannot move to "Internal Storage". Only can move to "USB Storage".
Thanks for the clarification, does that mean the internal SD is totally useless? Or just for you to store music/pictures ETC?
I have the same problem: my phone has the orange sd card on the slide down menu which say "internal memory full"
I have no apps other then a timer, a virusscanner and whatsapp and then all the apps that come with the phone. All the files I have on the phone I have stored on the external SD.
I deleted all my sms messages, whatsapp chats and I even uninstalled whatsapp to make sure that it's not that, but it still says my internal memory is full.
When I look at the apps, Thinkfree is the biggest program on it with 9mb, followed by Adobe Reader with 8mb.
What can be done? I have this phone for not even 6 months now and I'm ready to brick the phone but by this I mean: throw a f*cking brick on it!

Low on space ?????!!!!!!

Hey guys wazzup,
I keep getting this low on space,
while I have 1.3GB free System Storage
and 2GB Internal SD Storage....
why is that?
I'm on CM7 .....
My phone is smellin' somethin'
Restart your phone, it's a bug that happens sometimes.
Check your /datadata folder for free space, if it runs out you can't install apps.
Move some apps to the sd card, this will surely clear room.
That's all off the top of my head.

I'm confused about SD card memory storage with lollipop on Z3 compact

I moved all my apps to SD card memory but it still shows that apps are taking nearly all the device memory memory instead of SD card.
When u move apps to SD via app setting, it will Not move the complete app. Ca 1/4 of the app will stay on device

I would agree but I think there is a bug, moving to SD has no affect on memory usage. I think the space usage calculations are based on the total size of apps and not the size of apps on device memory.
