1. Anyone knows how to setup auto lock on X1 when screen turned off (in standby)?
2. Is it possible to setup incoming call not to unlock but to let me have the ability to unlock and then take the call ?
There are several apps on the development and hacking section of the forum for autolock.
I use SmartLock 1.7E with WM6.5 and it's perfect. As soon as you press the power button to turn off the screen, the phone gets locked. I only check the option "Standby lock" for this. Don't know about keeping the lock while the phone is ringing, but there are a few options, you can try that. I have the Rhodium dialer so it has slide to answer...
Search for it, it's on this forum somewhere.

Hey guys,
Was wondering if theres a button you can push to activate the password lock instead of having to wait for the timer to go. Thanks!

hold end call for a few seconds(red phone button)
ekw,
as I mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1780468 holding the end call button just locks the keys, but/and
- "any child who can read" is able to unlock it (unlock & *)
- this way of locking doesn't ask/require a password/PIN to unlock the device
I'm using the standard HTC Rom.. maybe your's is different?
Mine: HTC TyTN II (Dutch)
R: 1.27.12.11
G: 22.45.88.07H
D: 1.56.00.00
Use htc endkey then . Holding red phone button locks mine!!(maybe i changed it a long time ago and forgot )
ekw,
does 'HTC endkey' invokes the 'enter PIN code' screen to appear or just tap 'unlock' and then 'tap here to unlock' on the screen or use '*'?
i can confirm the using "HTC Endkey" to lock the device DOES NOT invoke the pin entry screen when you have the pin/password entry enabled. The only sure fire way around this is to set the pin entry/password "prompt if device is unused for" to 0 minutes; this way whenever the display is automatically OR manually turned off (through power button or device lock (assigned to a key etc)) when the phone is woken it will always ask for the pin to be entered.

I'm "happy" that you can confirm our 'problem'
Fact is.. I've put the screen to turn off after 2 minutes of non-activity, but when I'm for instance at home, the device shouldn't lock itself with a password when the screen is turned off.
So I'm trying to find a way to be able to enable/disable the device lock by for exemple tapping an icon on the today screen or hitting an assigned key.
Briefly said.. see attached screencapture..
instead of opening that screen (settings, lock, <entering the password>) and enable/disable the option.. I want that (!) enabling/disabling to be done by hitting an assigned key which edits a registry settings..
I do think that the option which you'll see in the screencapture is being remembered in the registry.
I'm willing to find the registry key and programming a 'tool' myself which will edit the registry key.. but I must do some searching (programming for xda).
1. i just installed S2P, is there any way to quickly lock the phone, instead of waiting 15sec until the backlight goes off?
2. another question, how can i change the quick buttons in the diffrent menues, in the black field, on my home screen it got "show all programs" and "Planet 3" i wanna change Planet 3 to Camera.
3. 3rd question, can i add pocket player instead of the normal music player in the tf3 menu?

1. I think you mean S2U2 and you should read the S2U2 Thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381588
What I do to quickly lock my phone is either, shut the screen off using the button on my phone (Which then locks the phone instantly as well) or Create a shortcut to S2U2 Lock to lock the phone, or I can use psshutxp to shut off the screen which also locks the phone instantly.
Sorry I can't help you with your other questions

Ah perfect, didnt know about that exacly what i was looking for
Is there any way to have the device auto lock once it goes into sleep mode so that i have to unlock it when i wake it up?
how about searching first? http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php
if you did, you would find a ton of info, like changing the registry setting for that, or using advanced config / diamondtweaks to do that or using a program like sensorlock...
I did search before posting this, however, it was only in the diamond section - dont know what i was thinking
Am a newbie to WM, but already have advanced config (and i did look in there but evidentally not hard enough) - found it now, so thanks for the input tuem.
I will search the full forum in future.
For reference, if anyone wants this, its in Advanced Configuration Tool under Screen >> Auto Device Lock
sensor lock
I think i know what you mean. try sensorlock. what this will do is lock your device as soon as it goes to standby or the screen is locked. hope this helps.
I am currently running itje's wm 6.5 rom. I wanted to know if there was a .cab or registry tweak avaliable for using the WM lock screen when the phone wakes.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Hi matey
you dont need a cab
heres what you do
go into settings > Lock
tick where it says promt if the phone is not used for >> and change that to 0 minutes
then set ur self a 4 digi pin
now when either u press the power button to wake ur phone it will take you to the locked screen.
how ever when you slide the lock you will be promted by for the 4 digi pin you setup.
Sorry mate if you wanted it to lock but not promt you for a pin- i dont belive you can do that with the default options on WM.
good luck in finding another solution if the above does not help keep this thread updated, others may find it usefull
N2h
hm... I had this on my own rom.
I mean that I turn on the Screen and the Lock Screen appears.
I think that was luck because now that you've asked that I realize, that I've never heard this before.
Think there will be a Solution in the Registry.
hia!
Is it possible to make the phone lock (move go to the slide-to-unlock screen default on winmo 6.5) when i press the powerbutten (sleep?).
I have yet to find a settings for this. Right now i need to first lock screen (hold the end call button) and then press powerbutton.
Is there a app to make powerbutton do both things at once?
also itnerested ... There is a setting so that phone locks after a period. Would that do the trick? Let me see
edit: don't know, can't find that setting any more. Anyone got an idea?
here is the link for automatically lock the screen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505032
i do not know if there is an application to make the lock loks like WM6.5
I'm using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386451
Very simple application that automatically lock your phone when you press the powerbutton. When you press the powerbutton to wake your phone up, it showed the slide to unlock screen in WinMo 6.5.
I am using point UI 2 pro, and in that version it will auto lock your phone anytime you press power. Works great in winmobile 6.5
