I have, I use the Wireless tether app with the bluetooth PAN setup. You need to re-pair your phone with the MBP while the tethering is turned on for it to detect and setup the Bluetooth PAN stuff. I was unable to reliably to get the Wi-Fi setup to work reliably and have found the bluetooth works a treat...
YMMV, hope this helps..!
Works fine with both wifi and bluetooth on my Macbook.
Thanks for your replies. I haven't got mine yet because I just ordered it yesterday and it will still take a few days to get here, but I had tried once with a friend's and couldn't get it working. I'll post back when it arrives.
Anyone had luck with a wired tether? Cyanogen's built in one is apparently Windows only (maybe Linux too, I'm not sure). But I'm on Modaco's r21 now anyways. Tried PDA net too, but it errors out on my OS X client...not sure what went wrong there
You have the pdanet client installed on the computer also right? I know for a fact the built in and wired-tether for root users is only compatible with windows and linux.
I would try to use a virtual machine and bridge the connection, that could work.
Wired tether works flawlessly on linux. I'm sure there's some file in Mac (it's Unix after all) which can be edited to make it detect the nexus as some kind of modem. Any mac expert over here?
Jumping on board hoping for a tethering solution for macs with CM
I use wireless tether and it works flawlessly on my MBP! It is straightforward, you fire up wireless tether on the Nexus and the MBP will see it as a wireless hotspot! Select the Android wireless hotspot on your MBP using your Airport and your off and running. Could not be easier! I am using Enom's Official 1.8.1 rom!
I use PDANet over BT with my MBP and it works fine.

Is the wireless tethering feature included in CM 5.0.6?
I was wondering what you are using Wireless or USB WIRED tether for.......for a tablet or a pc at home? I was thinking about getting a EVO but might like a tablet such as the Viewsonic G and use wireless tether with my hero. Also what is your battery life like using Wireless or USB WIRED tether...thanks for your time and answers.

I been using usb tether to run my laptop when I can't get wifi. If I turn it on it doesn't get hot as quick.

yeah, i gotta be fully charged to run on 3g, itll overheat if im downloading stuff on a low signal quality 3g, especially if im charging as well...
I use it for wireless tether
I use the USB tether every day all day at work to get around our corporate firewall to be able to get on XDA and Facebook. I use "Wireless Tether" when I go on road trips to let the kids connect to my hotspot while in the car with their laptops and iPod Touches. I usually have it plugged in to either a car charger or the wall when running wireless tether because it is a huge battery drainer. I used to use EasyTether before when I was on Android 2.1 but now that I'm on FroYo 2.2 it is built in and works sweet!
Anyone here with a cr-48 been successful at connecting with a wireless tether app with the captivate? I am having trouble getting it to work.
I cannot get my CR-48 to connect to my DINC either, I am running Cyanogen 6.1 with the wireless tether. So I would like to know if you have found anything regarding this situation.
lucky bastards.. i'd love one of those..
Anyone have some luck on this?
Yeah, I have a droid eris rooted running a cyanogen mod rom and an unable to get the wireless tether to work on my cr-48 either. It connects to my ipad just fine so I'm assuming it is the computer. Though thinking about it, I had issues connecting it to my other laptop running linux (ubuntu 10.10) so maybe it is something in the linux build.
I think it's because wireless tether uses adhoc. I have read that people can get it to work through usb, but that is no fun. I am trying it on a Droid X. I submitted a bug feedback asking Google if the CR-48 supports adhoc and if that is the issue.
i am currently using my cr48 via the wireless hotspot app on my htc desire - leedroid v2.2f - connects without a problem but i don't have 3G in my area so it's very slow.
Is it possible to tether NC (CM7) to blackberry. I have tryed PDAnet using bluetooth. They will pair but won't connect. I don't know if I would be able to get online with the NC through bluetooth anyway...

My phone can pair and connect just fine with my win7 pc. My phone/Transformer can only pair, not connect.
