Liquid Cool Theme (plus bonus for GSM Rhodium Owners) - Windows Mobile Themes

Hi fellow XDA-Devs
Welcome to my Liquid Cool theme. For reference purposes installing this theme on your phone is literally like going back in time to 1993 and drinking liquid cool.
Requirements:
- WVGA devices only
- WM 6.5 (.0)
- Sense 2.1
- Stock and Custom ROMs
- Co0kieMonster HQ Wallpaper patch, for your specific version of HTC Sense (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529730).
- You have to be really cool to install this theme.
What does the theme do?
1) Installs all Sense Liquid Cool backgrounds: Home Tab, All Tabs and Start Menu.
2) Installs Liquid Cool default Today Screen wallpapers
3) Installs Liquid Cool Lock Screen wallpapers
4) Installs Liquid Cool WM 6.5 Start Menu backgrounds
5) Skins softkey and task bars
6) Installs Leo Style animated splash screen and secondary/tertiary splash screens
7) Installs transparent bottom slider
8) Removes HTC Sense top curtain
9) Removes HTC Sense Weather clock background
10) Installs Retro Sense slider icons
Here's what it looks like:

}
Splash Screens:
Installation:
1) Disable Sense 2.1 via Settings>Today>Items:>HTC Sense
2) Install "Liquid Cool Theme.cab" contained in "Liquid Cool Theme.cab.zip"
3) Restart Device as requested.
4) Re-enable Sense 2.1 via Settings>... as in 1.
----------Bonus material for GSM Rhodium Devices------------
The bonus material for GSM Rhodium devices is an initial splash screen that is designed to preceed the Leo style animated splash screen. This must be handled with care because if you mess it up you can break your phone, invalidate the warranty and end up with a very expensive paperweight!
This splash screen must be flashed to the phone like a ROM or Radio ROM. Requirements:
- GSM Rhodium only - DO NOT try this on any other device!
- Hard SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131)
Installation:
1) Unpack RHODIMG.zip
2) Copy RHODIMG.nbh to the root of your device's Storage Card
3) Power off your device using the Long Press Power Button method
4) Press and hold the Volume Down and Power Buttons at the same time
5) Press the Power Button button to flash the splash screen
6) Reset the device using the stylus in the hole method.
Uninstallation:
Exactly as above but use the "RHODIMG.nbh" contained in "Default Rhodium Splash.zip" attached.
I have also attached the WVGA .jpg wallpapers for use with S2U2. I recommend tPro:

Hi Punker
I don't know how to do all the Sense 2.5 elements but I'll put a Liquid Cool wallpaper cab together for Sense 2.5. You may want to check out this thread for custom sliders: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=597344 or ask puppetmaster22 directly to make the Sense 2.5 elements you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1433288

OK, I've attached the Sense 2.5 cab. I can't test it because I don't have Sense 2.5. Please report problems. It should skin the Sense backgrounds, WM 6.5 Start Menu, Default Today Screen, WM 6.5 Lock Screen and the splash screens.
You can check these threads for the other Sense 2.5 elements that I can't include:

Hi ElCondor
I use HD Wall to make the theme and it was other people who compiled the other manila files. I wouldn't know where to start when adapting a theme for VGA.
Sorry about that.

Thanks Andrew....(now go back to working! LOL)

Installed with manila2.5, but ran into an issue: The wallpaper doesn't cover the full screen. Its not wide enough or tall enough, so I gert black bars around the device. Other than that: amazing.

Awesome slick look there
May I ask what you used to get the BT/Wifi/Sound/etc toggle icons?

All from different places

Hi cmstackar
As stated I don't use Sense 2.5 so I can't test this cab. Perhaps you could download the source file from the link in the first post and have a go yourself. There is quite a lot of help in the official HD Wall thread.

Hi all
Here are my start menu items (attached). There are six files:
Radio on/off - regular cab installation
Wifi - .exe file - set up short cut manually in start menu
BT Toggle - regular cab installation (works on Rhodium only)
Go Silent - regular cab installation
Go Normal - regular cab installation
Go vibe - regular cab installation
I use reSTART to change the order and icons of items in the start menu. N.B. With the sound profile apps you need to replace an .exe file in the start menu with a shortcut in order for reSTART to recognise them.
Cheers

Thanks alot! You forgot the BT cab but I'll manage to find one I think

This looks amazing, is there anyway I can have this with an incremental battery icon on my taskbar?
EDIT: I've tried installing other taskbar's ontop of this but I end up loosing my speaker icon.

It is a 6.5 theme so I can't guarantee what it would look like on a 6.1, if anyone even uses that anymore.
Edit:
Uploaded the VGA-Fixed Warhawk theme. Enjoy!
Also included in the .zip are all the wallpapers, VGA and WVGA for you. Again the theme should work on 6.1 but I don't know how well it works.

until they do you can get some of it into your exisitng tf3d theme. I have one of the black diamond themes loaded then I added the wallpaper and blue td3d highlights. I also skinned S2U2 and G-Alarm with the same wallpaper.
yea the slider an the wallpaper are actually nice lol.... does anyone have the wallpaper in VGA? This would be a nice port for us on vga!
you can use the wallpaper in TF3d right now, no need to resize. I just loaded it into tf3d as per normal.

using tf3d, go to the settings tab, choose "wallpaper", select the portrait file in the attached zip and you are good to go. Depending upon your version of tf3d and/or theme you use, you may have the wallpaper change on just the home tab or on all tabs. I didn't have to resize to work with my tf3d that I'm currently using.

you only need the portrait because the landscape wallpaper doesn't existing in tf3d, at least tf3d v1 & v2, v2.5 may have the ability to use both P & L.

its the Theme. so wallpaper + selection/highlight color when you are in windows shell.. not in TF3D
and yes it can be uninstalled
Well after using it for a little. I can say it works really well on TouchFlo 3D2 for the Fuze. Hopefully the Fortress will also have a really nice carrier theme from ATT as well.
Well this installed fine but it is not overwriting the original att_tabbed theme in the Today "Select a theme for your device" window. I have tried to delete the att_tabbed theme first but it says not allowed to delete system files?
Any ideas to get this to work? Possible rename the theme to something else?
Thanks!

First of all thank you very much this looks awesome on my fuze
The only suggestion that I have is that you make the wallpapers 640x640 this will make it look perfect in landscape mode VGA in tf3d2 and the start screen and lock screen. Just a suggestion again thank you very much.
Is this supposed to change the clock in TF3D2 as well? Mine is the standard white clock with black numbers.
Also, the home tab is see threw which looks great. But all the other tabs the tab goes back to being opauge..
I have the slider bar tweek installed could this be why the slider ISNT see threw on all the tabs?
I'll post some screen shots shortly.........
Okay I got the clock to be glass like it is in the screen shots on the first page... Just installed a clock modification. What about the Tab though. What mod was used for this theme and where can we get it if this doesnt work for others? Thanks
Nevermind.. Found it! As he said he installed the black diamond theme with the background.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487192&highlight=black+diamond
You can get the clear clock and blue highlights attached to this post
Err for the record the black diamond theme did NOT work for me. Same problem as before. But still might be worth a short. I just need to know where the SLIDER is from!
Theme looks great!! Nice work!!

Almost every aspect of S2U2 has been skinned in this theme. I am also including the original wallpaper set make by grzegorz10
Installation of S2U2 theme.
1. Make sure you have S2U2 2.30 or higher
2. Download ALL of the files
3. Install ALL of the files
4. Unzip the wallpapers and put them on your device where you can find them
5. Go to Programs > S2U2 > S2U2 settings
6. Open the "Information" tab
7. Set the Clock folders you want to use (because there are more than 2, the clock folders are not pre-set in the cab
8. If you want the second hand to show on the analog clocks, you have to set the time format to hh:mm:ss
9. Go to the wallpaper tab and select your wallpaper, there are walls for portrait and landscape in the zip, you have to set the wall for it to show
10. Adjust any other settings to your liking and hit SAVE.
11. Go to Programs > S2U2 > S2U2 to restart the program and enjoy!
For all the new clocks get them here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4QL0SJ3W

First of all, you must have S2U2 installed to your phone already. This is for WVGA only. Then you must install it to your device, not to your memory card. Then you have to set your desired clock folders. Some more info on the problem that you are having would be nice.

you have to open iLock2 to turn off S2U2 and then restart it. You also have to set the clock folder and wallpaper in the S2U2 settings. Did you even read my last post? What EXACTLY is it not doing? I just re-installed it on my phone and it worked perfectly. Install, set wallpaper, set clock folder, done. If you don't have S2U2, it won't work. This is a THEME, not the Program.
Works great on Tilt2
Works great on Tilt 2. Minor issue, my 3G icon is showing native icon. Is this icon part of S2U2 theme? If so could you possibly skin? Otherwise I can easily live with this one. Fantastic work thank you for your efforts, it looks awesome on my phone.
Hello, is already working. You can change what it says "slide to unlock" to the
for example "hello"?

I reworked all of the icons that were built into the theme. I have a CDMA device, so I have no way to test that. Wish I could be of more help, but all i did was rework the existing files of S2U2. Thanks for the compliment, I was very happy to make this theme and I hope you and many more will enjoy it.
Not getting a whole lot of input. Lots of people are downloading but nobody is telling me what they think. I can only improve this theme if I have input guys, otherwise I'll stop development of this project.
i installed the cab, but when I am looking in the folder S2u2 nothing is there.
In windows/Appmgr I found an empty folder Xpressyourcell Dushkish, so I have no idea how to get this working...

it overwrites existing files in s2u2. Just run iLock2 to stop S2u2, go to S2u2 settings and set what clock folders to use and what wallpaper you want then rerun S2u2 and your changes will show up. It is a skin, not a program. As I already stated in POST #3 and Post #5.

I also got it working on my Omnia, I had to reinstall everything onto the main drive and not my storage.
Initially I had it on my storage(16gig) instead of the main drive(100meg).
Could you possible redo the battery pic? Something along the lines of the flip clock and slider button styling (black, glossy and just all around slick!)
Also, for the top curtain the lock icon is somewhat squished looking, im not sure if thats how you wanted it to look?
Dont mean to sound like a nit picker but I noticed that you were looking for feedback from your previous post.
Awesome skin!

BluePearl Theme with a touch of Android:Sense 2.5 Clocks, Sliders, Lockscreen & More

BluePearl Theme with a touch of Android:Sense 2.5 Clocks, Sliders, Lockscreen & More

Post #1-Regular Quality Manila 2.5 Clocks, Sliders, Lockscreen, Music Player
Post #2-High Quality Manila 2.5 Clocks, Sliders, Lockscreen, & Music Player
Post #3-CHT Icons, Android Style Taskbar (includes wallpaper, black text, softkeys, & retract slider)
BluePearlSlider
BluePearl CHT Lockscreen
BluePearl Music Player

NOTES
-This theme was made for Sense 2.5 and CHT 1.8.5
-theme includes HQ as well as regular quality .cabs for the clock, sliders, lockscreen and music player
-the HQ .cabs require your phone to be patched with cfc 0.50 to work and they may slightly slow down your phone if you're using an older model. I'm currently using all the HQ .cabs on my Imagio (not very fast) and they're running very smoothly though.
-Refer to installation guide below for cfc patching. However, most custom ROM's have already been cfc patched so it'll just be a simple cab install for most of you
-you may use my work for anything you like, just leave me credit
-requests within reason are always welcome
-No curtains .cab attached in this post for those who need it
Credit
-thanks to MrBeOTP2 for the idea of the android style taskbar and allowing me to use his toggle switch templates to complete the CHT Icon set (now with toggles, notifications and "miscellaneous" icons)
-thanks to Apaquette420 for his blacktext .cab and poyensa for his transparent softkeys
-the background of the BlackGlossClockopia clock was originally made by S2W
Installation for Clocks, Sliders, Lockscreen, Music Player & CHT Icons
1. Install the .cab's
2. Restart Sense
-If you want the HQ versions, see the guide in post #2.
Enjoy!
Patching Manila Installation
1. Download cfc-gui.exe here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3164600&postcount=1
2. Run cfc-gui.exe
3. Go to Device>Patch Manila on Device as shown in pic below
-If you get an error, I'm looking for a solution but not sure what to do yet, you may want to try to contact Chainfire or look for more instructions in the cfc-gui thread
Then just install the .cabs and reset sense.
Android Taskbar Notes
-For the android taskbar, just place the attached taskbar templates correctly on your custom wallpapers or upload your wallpaper and I will
-This was originally made for CHT, but it should work with HDWalls and a RetractableSlider .cab, which you can easily find on google
-I used NRGZ28's remove start & X button from home screen, this may work with other rom's other than EnergyROM's but check out your rom's threads for more compatible versions. If you are using an EnergyROM, just download the .cab from the Add On's section NRG's threads.
Installation
(if you are not installing black text)
1. Download the .zips and .cabs
2. Install the TransparentRetractSlider .cab
3. Install poyensa's transparent softkey .cab (cambios registro softkeys)
4. Skin the Taskbar & Softkeys with CHT Editor for the android taskbar
-you must also set your slider to retract in CHT Editor>Miscellaneous>Retract Slider>On
(if you are installing black text as well)
1. Download the .zips and .cabs
2. Install the Transparent Retract Slider .cab
3. Install DarkNinja's white theme, Go to Settings>All Settings>Home>Appearance>Select
Dark Ninja White (I have found this to be the easiest and fastest way to get black text on softkeys)
4. Install textcolorfix.cab
5. Install Apaquette's blactext .cab
6. Install calendarblacktext.cab
7. Install textfix2.cab
8. (optional)Install my CalendarBlueToday.cab (makes the "today" indicator on calendar tab blue, better for lighter wallpapers)
9. Install poyensa's transparent softkeys (cambios registro softkeys) and reset
10. Apply the Wallpaper and Skin the Taskbar & Softkeys to get the android taskbar with CHT Editor and reset again

are you using CHT 1.8.5? with CHT Editor just go to Set Wallpaper from the right "Menu" softkey and set one of my wallpapers with the android taskbar to "Skin Taskbar and Softkeybar." After soft resetting, install the cambio softkeys from post #3 and soft reset again, they should be transparent now.
Here's the link to the dinik glass taskbar icons: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6481960&postcount=4
yeah im using CHT 1.8.5..i do everything but still same. IF i use cambio softkeys nothing happened (yes i have win 6.5.x with bottom buttons)..and if i use your wallpaper only upper and bottom bars are "skinned" (only piece of wallpaper is visible on them)

Hmm sounds like you don't have my wallpaper set as your wallpaper. The same wallpaper must be set as "Wallpaper" and "Skin Taskbar and Softkey bar"
As for the softkey cab, the thread below tells how it works so you may want to try delete those files.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6973637&postcount=13
you can also try this, but you will not be able to change your them with it:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6969720&postcount=7
I actually tried the second link first and then installed the cambio softkeys because I wanted to use my own theme, then I reverted back to my theme again. This may have made the cambio cab work because it would have skinned the softkeys with the transparent "theme" softkeys.
I'll look for other solutions if it doesn't work.
very nice theme, i really like it. this is my home screen with my small modifications.
one question, how i can get transparent slider? i tried 'touch x transparent slider.cab" but not working properly because all red icons has disappeared.

Ahh, that would do it.
very nice. really like the silver look, makes the blue look neon. you should look at making other colors as well, i'm sure they'd be popular. (not that I have a clue as to how difficult that would be) especially pinks, purples or oranges. not a whole lot of girly themes out there.
great job!

Thanks and glad you like it different colors for atleast the clock, lockscreen and music player would be quite easy, but sliders may take a little work. I'd be happy to recolor it on your or other's request but probably won't release unless requested.

Coming up next.... a theme inspired by Apple's ipad theme... here's a picture in advance how it's gonna be...
Remember this is NOT a HTC sense theme, I just happen to have this installed already and like it together with my windows mobile theme!!!
If you want it like this you can better install NRG's 6.5.3/Dinik (in my case omnia 2/i8000) rom and apply my theme after, you can have this views via Cookie's home editor / edit home layout and drag&drop the interface as how you want it to be.
DON't FORGET TO PUT THIS THEME AS DEFAULT or nothing will change
Drop a few lines if you like it (or not)
+ this theme includes an Apple styled on/off switch!!

Made some adjustments to the theme like the buttons and some other things:
v1.1 includes:
- new improved buttons
- new improved scrollbar
- new improved selection bar
- new improved messagebox title
- new improved shelf/icon dock
version 1.1 can be downloaded here.
--------------------------------------------------------
Just uploaded v1.2, changes:
-fixed the button color + shadow
-fixed the softkeybar messagebox (toast)
-fixed the shelf/dock (softkeybar)
-fixed the radio buttons
(The below files are not the latest cz my upload limit @xda is gone and I dun wanna clean up...)
So just to be clear, please read this clear!:
This is NOT a Sense, Manila, Titanium or CHT theme which I made that's all Dinik's work. I've made the Windows Mobile theme... like the scrollbar, softkey buttons, pushbuttons, taskbar, softkeybar, checkboxes, radiobuttons, comboboxes, selections etc. all within Windows and ofcourse the portrait/landscape background so you don't need anything else in fact.
About 80 d/l's and no reply? Come one ppl do you like it/hate it any comment would be nice!
Upped the same theme but now with blue buttons...
Hi Jeffrey,
I installed the cab and chose it as default theme. The buttons look very nice. I'm missing the wallpaper from your screenshots above though. Where can I find it? It showed up very briefly when coming back from CoOkies Hometab Editor but now it's not displayed. Do you have a hint for me?
Thanks and regards,
Petra
P.S.: I just saw that the background in the Start Menu is the new one but unfortunately it is not on the Home Screen (CoOkies Home Tab included in Energy CHT ROM), well, at least not in portrait mode. It's also there in landscape mode on the Home Screen though, but where is it stored so I can also choose it for portrait mode and in the lock screen???
Tnx for ur reply but well the pics are being copied to \windows\ but I can upload it here aswell see below...
Version 1.1 is uploaded, see the main topic or d/l here.

Hi jeffrey2000,
You said that this is not a Sence theme. But it looks like a CHT theme right?
So we could install your theme even other any Sence ROM with CHT installed.
Can you confirm?
It's not a Sense, Manila, Titanium or CHT theme which I made that's all Dinik's work, I've made the Windows Mobile theme... like scrollbar, softkey buttons, pushbuttons, taskbar, softkeybar, checkboxes, radiobuttons, comboboxes, selections etc. all within Windows and ofcourse the portrait/landscape background.
thanks, works on OmniaII nice!
I have only the WM6.5 Home screen with your wallpapers. What do I wrong?
Looks intereseting !! Downloading and installing it tomorrow for sure!
- Keep you posted!

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but, for this theme you need to flash your ROM with NRG?
Is there not some way of getting your theme to work WITHOUT switching Roms?

You don't need any specific rom, any 6.5.x rom will do. But like I said many times before this is a Windows Mobile theme the rest you see is sense 2.5. So in case you want it exactly as I have it you will need a sense rom with Dinik's CHT (cht theme) such as NRG's rom.

No flash required, just a plain wm6.5.x theme.

Yeh it's that simply just install the cab, select the theme within the Windows Mobile settings and the theme will be working straight away. Just make sure you have a Windows Mobile 6.5.x device.
help
Do I need something else to install this app? only works for omnia or any WVGA 6.5 WinMo phone works?

Based on the pics, it looks great. I'm gonna flash the nrg dinik rom to see if I can have the full effect. Good job!
Edit: Can you share that wallpaper you have in your screenshots?
Well I used the Energy rom he posted for Omnia 2 (i8000) so make sure you use a rom that's compatible with ur phone
Hi, this theme looks great!! I wanna to install it to my HTC mega, is that applicable?
sorry for my ignorance as I'm a newbie... thanks a lot for ur reply
The theme will work on any WVGA (wm6.5+) device, I made in fact for 6.5.x but heard it works for 6.5 aswell.
AWESOME! i like what you did with those "settings" menus
next i'd try to change top&bottom curtain with only pure black, highlight color to light blue(via registry) and ok/windows+softkeys to something else than green(kills the looks, substitute with http://www.growlforwindows.com/gfw/images/forwarding/toprowl_confirm.png maybe?
otherwise great job
ps done softkeys for you as example, but i'm shure you can do better. i'd repack cab myself but i respect your work

After theme installation it is not started HTC Sense + CHT 1.8.5
No cz you still have to put this theme as default... and like I said it's NOT a HTC sense theme I made... it's a Windows Mobile theme.
looks good.
Can you make for QVGA?
As I can't test it i'm not gonna make it but maybe someone else can do this.

Nice theme Jeffrey, I'm gonna try this one. Those colors remind me of your Windows 7 theme, in the Omnia I era on Modaco
Well done!
You mean this one? Well yeah it has some blue in it aswell but this time I copied apple's blue instead of the Windows blue. Don't blame me but microsoft for copying the blue hehe.

Hi jeffrey2000. Thank you so much for your theme, work perfect.
Also i just see you screen with blue "WM7" theme (in the quote), is it possible to have it please?
EDIT= Found it at modaco but for WQVGA.
Do you plan it for WVGA plz?
Not Understanding
So this really looks promising, something fresh. But I don't quiet understand your discription.
You say this is a windows mobile theme, and that I need NRG 6.5.3 Dinik ROM installed?
I am running a WVGA Imagio with NRG Sense 2012 modded with Cookies 1.8.5.1 and operating with WM6.5.
So if I install the cab, will it work on my system and ROM, or do I need to flash to a different ROM?
OR, since this isn't a sense theme, do I just run it with Sense turned off, and pick it in the Home Items screen?
