Call recording - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi,
I just came across the wonderfull call recording feature that I found in my new ROM. It works really well besides it has to be enabled every time I want to record. That's rather uncomfy because you have to bring the screen back to live, scroll through the menu and enable recording - everything during the first seconds of a call. You can't do it in advance as the option is greyed out as long as no real call is taking place (and it only rings for exampe).
Is there an option (or reg-tweak) to set call recording to generally record all calls in the background?
Thank you in advance.

you are lucky, man. I do have the record option, but it never records anything.

Help Call Recording Not Working. Need Serious Help

Dear XDA members,
I really need all your help. I've searched a lot, but there isn't an answer I'm looking for. And some things are bit too technical for me as I'm new to android. So I'm trying to set up recording my calls on my S3 Mini. First of all, I've tried every single free app that is on Google Play Store. And with those apps, I've also tried all the settings, trust me. All I could hear was my voice. My opponents voice was very very low. Lower than whispering so I could hardly hear a thing.
So recently I researched and Rooted my phone via VRoot. Went flawlessly. However, now it's not recording at all! For example, I made a call. After the call ends I go to the recording app and I see that it shows me its recorded. However, its actually not recorded. Its just a file created which is 32 bytes. No more. Sometimes 66+- Bytes. So it doesn't record at all anymore after I rooted it. I've tried with so many recording apps and still doesn't work at all.
Is the call recording feature blocked? If yes, is there any way to unblock it? I do not want to install a custom ROM, so please that answer is out the book. I'd like to keep the stock and enable automatic call recording. All answers are welcome please!
Thanks in Advance.
Call recording is disabled due to some law restrictions, so you need to modify yourself secphone.apk or download modified one or install xposed framework and call recording module. Guides are here, search.

Thank's a lot for the quick reply. I'll check out those options and give them a shot, starting with xposed framework. Then report back. Thanks again.
EDIT UPDATE: Thanks a heap bro! I didn't know I could use xposed framework to enable call recording. I thought the exposed framework only worked on ROM's. Because I flashed a call recording enabler tar file on my Note 3. Thanks again. Works 100%. Love Ya! (no homo).
@Gw|n I need a little quick help please. Apart from having secPhone.APK edited or having the recording module. Is there another way to automatically record calls? This is due to the fact that I keep forgetting to click the record button when having important calls. Is there something I can flash into my phone, so I can have 2-way clear recording sound. Then I can install any app available on PlayStore to allow automatic recording.
I don't know, I've never tried other apps. But these third party apps might have problem with direct recording.

[Q] CM12 - enable call recording via ADB?

Has anyone been able to activate the native call recording on CM12 nightly (2015-02-18)?
I've run
Code:
adb shell setprop persist.call_recording.enabled true
adb shell setprop persist.call_recording.src 4
And rebooted. The values are still there, but the call record button doesn't show up in the UI. Is there anywhere else I need to enable it?
I'm able to use Boldbest Recorder without issue - and it's legal for me to record my personal calls in my country.
can i ask why would u use cm12 on this?
Not being funny at all just wondering
Why? I like Trebuchet, I can remove apps I don't use (no bloatware), better customisation like centre clock, access to the notification LED, button placement to put the back button on the right - and adding cursor control to the button bar - and I find that it runs faster & smoother.
Now, does anyone know how to activate the native call recorder?
oky no worries i have just ordered this my first nexus so was just wondering is all
Hope u get it sorted

Are you sure the kernel supports it?
I don't know much about the whole process, but it might be a feature that is half baked for the N6? Akin to the first few harmon/karden ports to non-Sprint M8s.
As I mentioned, the Boldbeast call recorder works fine. The nightly release logs look like they support recording.

Call recording feature is actually enable-able on a device basis. I think it depends on the actual hardware of your phone, sound routing etc. etc.
For example, I have bacon and the feature is available only since 20150401:

You'd better check on http://www.cmxlog.com/12/shamu/ for a green item stating "shamu" and "call recording".
I hope this can help.
You are right, not long after, someone ported it to Shamu. I then found the code where it's disabled by default.
I didn't get a chance to try it in cm12 before 5.1 came out.
I'm back on stock for now.

Call recording

Hello, anybody knows how to record calls during AA usage? (without root)
My S10e has inbuilt call recorder but during AA usage the stock dialer is not used, so the call recorder does not' start.
Is there a way to force AA to use stock dialer?
THX
Hi @mains75 your post is old but I wonder if I am having a similar issue, and if you ever figured out a work around. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro that is rooted with call recording enabled. When using Android Auto the call recording doesn't work. My search for a solution brought me to your post. Any help would be appreciated.
unfortunately there is no way to do it...AA is the worst software by google,it has is own phone dialer that is not customizable. The one way should exclude it from calls by using onother dialer that supports call recording...
There's something new...Dont' know how..But just yesterday my s10e starts to record calls during AA connection...
I did not update anything, Google app only...
This is a very good news to me.
Edit: The dream is alreday over... after deleting data from Google app and Google play services to solve Google assistant issue, call recording does not work anymore...

A call record button appeared out of nowhere, any idea?

So, recently I have noticed that a call record icon has appeared in call screen alongside the hold/change sim etc icons that usually appears when you are in call. Tapping the record button shows "Call Recording" and if tapped again voice tells that "Call has been successfully recorded" which can be heard on both end of the call. But the call is not recorded locally. I didn't find a recorded audio file in file manager. Is it saved on the operator's server?! Does anyone have any idea about what it is?
P.S. i didn't install any call recording app of any sort. The record button is not a floating one. Its built right into the dialer/call screen. Please see attached image for visuals.
I have watched a hindi video on youtube that shows you can check the recorded message from the call history.also you can reach the maim file from 'Files' app but i can't remember what was the root. So i think it saves on device.

unfortunately, the first time I tap on record it shows "Record Failed", on a second tap starts recording but doesn't save it in call log or anywhere else! May be a bug. Did a complete reset, but didn't help.
