hey, iam loocking for the Nexus One Bootscreen for my G1 running CM 4.2.9.1 (Stock SPL) i like to flash it like a new Theme or use it via MetaMorph.
Thanks for try to help me
You can't. The way the bootscreen works for both that and the droid is exclusive to 2.0+ based roms.
so i have to wait, till cyanogen release the first 2.0 roms
Yeah. There was a think tank that got a lot of attention a while back, trying to get real animated boot screens in 1.6 ROMs, but it ultimately fizzled out. Everything we could think of, was prohibited by some weird little quirk in Android. It would take way more coding than we at XDA have the manpower for in order to get it working. So, yeah, we have to wait for HTC to release 2.0 drivers for the Dream--at which point we'll have a stable, totally usable 2.0 ROM, probably from Cyanogen, but definitely from someone.

Do you think that the G1 will get Android 2.1? Or are we going to have to wait until Drizzy comes out with his. Hopefully Cyanogen comes out with one, his roms are fast.

yes, The g1 might get the OTA Android 2.1 update and lets hope we can get the official Sense UI on the g1 like the htc magic
Let's hope so.
It would be great. But I'm hoping Cyanogen comes out with a rom based on the Android 2.1 like Drizzy is.
I took the Nexus One boot image, turned it into the O in Android and used the boot image from cyanogen and this is what turned out. Credit to Cyanogen (or whomever created that image). I also used bastards' metamorph boot screen file as a starting point so credit to him. flashed to my g1 with latest cyanogen and it works. feedback, positive or negative is welcome.
Update: Slightly refined version now. Made the O a bit more circular. Tested withG1 & cyanogen's 4.2.14.1 and works fine.
looks very sexy. i might use this later on
looks awesome
Flashed on my phone and everything FC when it rebooted. Boot screen worked though.
Bootscreen worked like a charm, no issues
You guys will have to excuse my ignorance but anyone mind explaining to me how I go about using this? My experience so far has been rooting/themeing my G1 (running Cyanogen 4.2.13 atm) but I'm not sure what exactly I need to go for just a boot image.

Do you have metamorph from the market?
Ah yes, that would help, you'll have to excuse me for not noticing the title tag
I'm going to start reading up on metamorph now
The actual nexus boot screen is enough to make me unable to run 1.6 any longer
pretty nice, bro... i used it...thanks
thanks for the feedback everyone
This looks great, I want to use it but is it possible to flash this while on Enochs theme? Considering that he has his own boot screen/logo.
thanks for this. It's an awesome way to get a little taste of nexus in cyanogen.
Hey. I am gonna try this but, how do I apply this? I am on King's 2.1 eclair ROM and I have Metamorph installed. Do I simply put a .png file in a folder and flash it?
Thanks in advance

Can someone tell me if I could install the nexus one bootscreen on htc dream cyanogen 6

Is there a release of this ROM to flash on my Mytouch 3G 32a?
I wanted to test it out and make some modifications to it for educational purposes with my friend.
Also, a cliq too. Would that be possible to flash the same 2.2 ROM for two separate phones or would I need a special one for the two different phones.
Thanks.
Man, not this again. Wait until Android 2.2 gets on a phone officially.
Cyanogen can port it to the g1/mt3g (also the n1 and the droid) but for now all we got is android 2.1
You have to ask another dev to port it to the cliq since the cliq isn't really talked much about on xda.

Thanks for your reply. I'll look into it. But I wasnt looking for a cyanogen release or any other ROM modification release. I wanted the Raw 2.2 file.
Cyanogen won't be releasing anything before its officially released.

Hey guys,
Now that Gingerbread is out, I think most questions on people's minds are: Can it happen? What's needed?
Sent from my Tattoo using XDA App
I'm trying to do something about it stay tuned...
i just saw a youtube video about a wildfire running an early built,
so i thinks its not a matter of resolution.
I just hope the CM can be work on ROM.
We need AOSP sources before it can be built properly. The ones on Wildfire etc are just hacked together from an emulator image, and they run quite slowly. For the Tattoo, I'm a bit uncertain if it can be used with kernel 2.6.29, or if 2.6.32 or higher is required.
It will eventually - Froyo took a while but is here. But I can't wait for the new UI and it will be speedy if Google are telling the truth
I was WAITING for someone to ask this question
Anyway, fingers crossed
It has to be possible: http://androinica.com/2010/12/07/go...droinica+(Androinica+-++A+Google+Android+Blog)
I guess gingerbread will take some time to come on tattoo, but there is a full gingerbread theme for tattoo available here.

I guess it will be pretty soon, because Gingerbread AOSP is already available to create ROMs like fyodor's or spartm's, and Cyanogen is working on modded Gingerbread too already
gingerbread on tattoo would be GREAT

@those who try to port 2.3 for tattoo: If you're successfull, plz change the icon for mobile data... it's just too tiny for our small screen!
the source code for the nexus one is out, i dont know how difficult it is to port it to another device but i hope someone tries it already
I'm trying to compile gingerbread, if somebody(or more) wants to collaborate making vendor files, we can put up a github start a collaborate rom for our tattoo
I've triend changed fyodor files, but for now i'm stuck (something wrong with libstagefright)
Somebody?

Stuck when compiling or when booting?
Compiling i've managed this problem, but i changed some stuff and now i got it again, i'm trying to make new vendor files step by step using fyodor,..etc (and google ref) files just for reference, but it can take a while(if i'll get it working..)
Alright, so I've been searching around for a few hours now with no luck on this. I'm a bit new to all this and haven't really messed with my Hero in about a year except for updating Cyanogenmod every now and then.
I'm currently running CM7 and was trying to get my HTC Hero (CDMA) back to stock (or at least to a point where I can use HTC Sync). I've tried flashing a few ROMs, but I either get stuck in a boot loop or they fail to install. I'm not sure if I'm right in saying this, but is it because I'm running 2.3.7 and trying to install older ones from 2.1? I've looked for guides on how to downgrade, but I can't seem to find any; almost everything I find is really outdated.
I don't necessarily need to go to 2.1 if I can flash a ROM that allows me to access HTC Sync, but I haven't had much luck finding that either. If someone could point me in the right direction or tell me where I'm going wrong I would greatly appreciate it.
htc sync is just the software that installs all your drivers automatically but if your on an aosp rom you can still install them individually. If you really want to go to stock that badly id just use nfx stock its rooted but still completely stock.
The reason I was trying to get a ROM with HTC Sync was so I could use a method from theunlockr website (it won't allow me to post a link).
Anyway, I finally managed to flash Zero Hero Sense to it, but it runs so slow. I now have HTC Sync on it and I'm pretty sure I know how to unroot it from here, but I was wondering before I do if there is a stable 2.3 ROM that is really quick; I'm only searching for performance.
Kushdeck or jaybob are the fast, But using Aosp's 2.2 version 9.9.2 was the fastest compared to any other rom I've used.

Thanks! Trying them now.
with zero hero it seems to me you need to let it run for a little while, mine smoothed out after about a day of running it and is actually quite snappy for a rom that should max out our devices
or you can try cyanogenmod stable, its quite fast

Yeah, that's what I originally had on there, but I wanted some kind of change. I've got jaybob on there now and I enjoy it; very simple.
Maybe I should try leaving zero hero on there a bit longer, I really liked the look of it.

this rom is superb. no force closes and runs snappy and beautiful
since it's gingerbread i'd suggest installing another keyboard.
froyo's keyboard was so much better

I've been using Kushdeck and loving it so far so it has my vote between deck and jaybob.
Zero Hero Sense gets my vote!
