Okay so I know all the controversy over DivX playing on the Dream, but what if it were to stream from a PC? Is there some way of having the PC render it on the go and then stream it to the Dream? That way all the Dream really has to do is play it since it's already been rendered on a much faster PC... Mind you it would be playing over WiFi or mobile network... So obviously it would be limited to that... Dunno.. Just thinking here... Would be a cool app...

I dont know if this is possible or the right terms to use but basicly I want to have my PC in the living room , and watch TV in my bed from my diamond
I have a wireless router and I have Vista Ultimate with a dual TV card in there
What SW do I need on my phone to recive live tv? I see a few apps out there wich seem to broadcast my TV all over the internet , then I can download it from my phone , but that uses data , and due to my slow internet connection is not useable ..
Is there a way just to send the live tv signal directly over the wireless without going through the internet?
I would like to be able to change channels and so forth from the phone , and maybee even have my girlfreind watching something else on the PC since we have a dual tuner card
Nero MediaHome I think allows for TV stream over the LAN. Not sure how it works as I've never tried, I only use it to stream media files.
UUUUU thats something im down for. Did you chek out Programs: Streaming Media???
Luck dude!
I'm not sure if this helps, but I read somewhere, sometime ago that SLING media (who make the Sling player for internet TV) was making an app for the Nokia N95. So its defo available for phones, whether it works out the box or can be tweaked for the (much better) Diamond is something you or somebody else will have to investigate!
Hope this helps!
DG.
TVersity should be able to do this just fine:

Good luck!
hmm did you try Orb?
OK, before we get into it and a moderator comes and slashes my tires... I"VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR THIS INFO BUT NO LUCK! and yes, even WIKI's!
I purchased a D-link webcam *DCS-5220 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=546) ...
The DCS-5220 features 3G mobile video support enabling you to view a live video feed from your camera on a compatible 3G mobile phone or PDA anywhere in your 3G coverage area1. The 3G mobile video support expands the functionality of the DCS-5220, allowing you to monitor your remote location without requiring a computer. IP surveillance software is also included to manage up to 16 cameras simultaneously from your computer, send automated e-mail alerts, and record video to your hard drive when motion is detected.
I have tried 3 different players with no luck ......
realplayer... http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=2675&question=3g
PVPlayer ... http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=2676&question=pv+player
RTSP 3GP ... http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/rtsp-3gp-ppc-download.html
Dlink states that any phone with a RTSP + 3GPP player should stream video from the DCS-2120 and DCS-5220 ......... http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=2807&question=3g
FYI: The camera works fine as i am able to view it via a computer on any internet connection.
SO, I AM LOST! and pissed (i'm out $300) and can reallllly use your help!
Any takers? Crap i'll throw in a $100 reward for the first one that lands me the capabilty to stream video from my Dlink webcam to my Tilt! (not sure if that's legal on XDA but WTF!
Thxs!
SDS
i would say. just use orb.com, i stream my webcam on there and can view it from my tilt with windows media player or corepplayer. the 3g cam ive never heard of before. sounds cool. but if its not doing what it says it will do and your using the right software, then i believe that falls under the catagory of faulty hardware. u should return it. or youll just have to use it in the conventional ways---orb.com or other similar methods.
my 2 cents. good luck
Do you want to post a link to your webcam so we can try to see what's going on?
ycavan - there is nothing to see - it works fine over the internet to any computer. The issue lies in getting some type of interface (RTSP 3GP) on the mobile that will allow you to watch streaming video specifically designed from the 3G web camera.
And thanks Tazbo28, unfortunetly. i'll probably have to DL orb.com. I was hoping that i would not have to leave my computer running which really means just setting up another computer and using it strickly as a webcam portal. But the flip side of that is i can build a network of up to 16 cameras. OVER KILL but whatever!
What about TCPMP?
Are you referring to TCPMP v0.72RC1? http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-tcpmp-v0-72rc1.html
I don't know but it doesn't look like it supports RTSP 3GP type. Anything is worth a shot i guess - Thank God for back ups/Active Sync.
Im experiencing very slow tab performance. For instance streaming the Colbert Report from a chrome tab is unwatchable even on 480p. I have more than adequate internet speed, just wondering if I'm expecting too much. Netflix and Youtube are silky smooth.
I too am having the same issue. Great wifi connection and speed and both YouTube Netflix are silky smooth. I have my tabs showing 480p and while it plays the embedded videos in the chrome browser, it gets choppy and most times video and audio get out of sync. (the video plays great on my desktop) Trying to find a fix for this as well but understand since it's still in the beta phase. Hopefully an update will come out soon enough.

If you are trying to cast a tab/screen your computer might not be able to handle it, Google posted some streaming requirements.
I'd post the link but the forums won't let me, look for answer 3209990 on the Chromecast support page.
The bottleneck is a bit of both the casting PC and the WIFI. When casting Netflix or Youtube, the stream goes directly to the CCast. When you cast a tab, the stream is going from the cloud, to your PC, then getting transcoded on your PC, then your PC is streaming the whole thing to the CCast. If your WIFI is pretty robust, it can handle it. Understanding how packets are switched on a WIFI network, there is a lot of overhead. Divide your wifi network's bandwidth by each device, then divide that by two... or something like that.

That's why I wasn't so excited with the from Chrome tab to Chromecast feature.
It can be nice to watch some websites on our TV's, but I'm sure that it won't work very well when we send tabs where we are playing a HD videos. So we just can hope that every video app add CCast support.

Hey @ All
Simple Little Question.
Is it Possible to Connect the HTC ONE with the Playstation 3 for the Remote Play?!
I just want to get the Ps3 Screen on my ONE
Possible?!
There's no way... :/
Good idea though!
you need a video input card for your pc to view the ps3 screen on your pc... then use splashtop app to view your PC screen on your ONE
yeah this could be a joke sometime ago, but since splashtop uses your Lan to do the "mirroring" of you PC to you Android, if your pc can handle without problem the video input of ps3, and you have a VERY good router and conection, this joke is possible... the only and really problem are the controls, you can play in your house but only because the ps3 controller is wireless, and obviously not out of your house...
I have seen movies playing on my PC in my one, played zelda and borderlans 2 (installed on PC) on my ONE, Is not comfortable but possible, and if you manage low resolutions is a LOT more even possible XP
now imaginate someone make a virtual ps3 controller that could run from a PC, and using a bluetooth dongle can connect to the ps3 as a normal controller, then uses sixasis to asign common butons to the gamepad thru splashtop on the pc...then this joke could be even more possible... LOL i worked a lot today, I'm hella high xDDDD

i was thinking of Taking a closer look at the method of data transmission both through Wireshark ect... and DPI's i got at access to at work, not sure how feasible this idea will be, to Hi-Jack the data trasmission at a lower layer level to the ONE...... not sure the resolution would adjust the the One's screen though.
Hey guys, i know there are apps for windows phone capable of wirelessly streaming a video to PC/TV trough DLNA. But, Is there any that can also push subtitles alongside?
I usually download movies to my phone, but i like to watch them on my "many inch" TV and although i know english well (i think), my little brother doesn't.
Thanks.
