[Q] DLNA question - Windows Phone 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, i know there are apps for windows phone capable of wirelessly streaming a video to PC/TV trough DLNA. But, Is there any that can also push subtitles alongside?
I usually download movies to my phone, but i like to watch them on my "many inch" TV and although i know english well (i think), my little brother doesn't.
Thanks.

TV on Diamond?

I dont know if this is possible or the right terms to use but basicly I want to have my PC in the living room , and watch TV in my bed from my diamond
I have a wireless router and I have Vista Ultimate with a dual TV card in there
What SW do I need on my phone to recive live tv? I see a few apps out there wich seem to broadcast my TV all over the internet , then I can download it from my phone , but that uses data , and due to my slow internet connection is not useable ..
Is there a way just to send the live tv signal directly over the wireless without going through the internet?
I would like to be able to change channels and so forth from the phone , and maybee even have my girlfreind watching something else on the PC since we have a dual tuner card
Nero MediaHome I think allows for TV stream over the LAN. Not sure how it works as I've never tried, I only use it to stream media files.
UUUUU thats something im down for. Did you chek out Programs: Streaming Media???
Luck dude!
I'm not sure if this helps, but I read somewhere, sometime ago that SLING media (who make the Sling player for internet TV) was making an app for the Nokia N95. So its defo available for phones, whether it works out the box or can be tweaked for the (much better) Diamond is something you or somebody else will have to investigate!
Hope this helps!
DG.
TVersity should be able to do this just fine:

Stream DivX From PC?

Okay so I know all the controversy over DivX playing on the Dream, but what if it were to stream from a PC? Is there some way of having the PC render it on the go and then stream it to the Dream? That way all the Dream really has to do is play it since it's already been rendered on a much faster PC... Mind you it would be playing over WiFi or mobile network... So obviously it would be limited to that... Dunno.. Just thinking here... Would be a cool app...

Please help, I'm going mad

Is there a application that I can use so when I stream anything from a website on my note it will go to my TV wirelessly, at them moment i have to go to a movie website I have to use the TV out lead from my note to my Samsung TV, my videos on my phone all work with all share, but anything from a website I can't do please does anyone know?

No way man, what you are asking is too much...

Why is it ok for all share to stream exactly what's on my phone, but if I go to a website it can't? So I have to have the TV out lead in, as this can't be done wireless?

Im sure it is possible, but just hasnt been done yet!!
just wait for a few weeks or months hopefully not years... someone or the other would be able to do it. There are a lot of geniuses here!!
First, you cannot directly stream any online movie websites as those websites doesn't support streaming their contents outside the borders of the device/media they just support with. In a layman's term. You are bounded to just watch it on your phone or if you like, plug an HDMI cable from your phone to your TV.
However, there's still some possible way you can stream wirelessly movie files BUT you need to have an Internet enabled- TV that supports All Share Connections as well (e.g. Samsung ,LG, Sony BRAVIA, Philips, Panasonic Viera, Toshiba), latest models have this enabled on the TV console itself.
Secondly, granted your internet enabled TV supports AllShare, you can only do streaming thru certain contents only... apps e.g. Imediashare (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bianor.ams&hl=en) enables you to stream online contents from your phone to your TV itself (thru your WIFI network)
Another way as well, is to just stream your downloaded movie files from your phone to your HDTV (you need to have a TV that supports this type of precondition), and wirelessly stream your movie to your internet enabled TV (thru wifi). (the streaming depends on your Wifi connection speed), you can try an app called Twonky for this one if you like. (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...streaming-from-android-to-tv-pc-dlna-devices/)
Lastly, you can check one last app I can suggest - Playto Universal from Google play(https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5kYXlnbG93cy52aXZpZC5mdWxsIl0. and http://www.playto.tv/), those links would explain some or all of the details on what you might be looking for.
do you have a ps3 ?? if so you can stream it wirelessly ???

[Q] Im Confused.. Is there a way to connect M7 to TV directly?

Sorry if this has been covered before but after searching I am now more confused than ever? The goal is to use the app Showbox (which plays movies, but only works on android) and mirror the playback on a TV. Basically mirror the M7 screen while it is playing a movie and watch it on my tv. I bought a chromecast expecting it to work but it does not because I do not have a secondary internet source. Meaning, MY ONLY data connection at my house is my phone as a hotspot and when I run Showbox from my phone, I can not use the phone as a hotspot to satisfy the damn POS chromecast to make it work!
I just need a yes or no answer, is there anyway to play a movie on my M7 and watch it on my TV, it does not matter if it is wireless or directly connected, I just need to know what apps or hardware to get if it is possible
Thank you very much in advance...
cheers,
disco

You need either one of these:
The one posted above. a MediaLink HD.
or an MHL cable. (Far cheaper than above, quality depended on the item)
or a Wi-Fi Modem that you can connect. This branches out to a few more options:
You can now use chromecast with it.
Or you can connect the modem directly to the tv via ethernet (if compatible) or wifi (if compatible) then it is app depended to mirror to screen. Internet connection may be optional depending on how you stream.

Problems with Google TV

Hi guys,
I live in Israel. I Bought Chromecast with Google TV and I have some problem.
Due to bad internet connection on my house and country, I have problems to stream apps like Netflix and PLEX, It doesn't stream smoothly like I watch on my laptop for example.
My main use is to watch movies that I'm downloading in my compute with subtitles I'm adding. Is there another solution to watch movies and Cetra directly throw the streamer and not via PLEX and Cetra?
The second question, I'm assuming that if ill connect the strimmer and the laptop directly to the Internet cable things will improve. The problem is I'm in my room and connecting to the Wi-Fi in the living room. I have the cable company equipment here also but I don’t really know what he does. But I think some of them connect the device to the internet.
I'm adding pics of my equipment. I'll be happy if you could help me.
Thanks.

Start playing the file in VLC and then right mouse click playback|renderer and you should see your chromecast device listed.
