Hi all!
Does any know of an app that can provide network usage statistics on a per app basis? I tried "Network Statistics" which claims to do what I want, but it always FC on me.
Thank you in advance.

I'm currently looking in the market for an app that will let me know what's using my CPU As well as what is continuously synching. I've turned off automatic sync and background data, but it'd be nice to know what apps I could freeze so I can at least get ym emails normally...
Thanks
spare parts' battery history function may have the info you're looking for. you can check for cpu usage, network usage, gps, partial wake..
otherwise i'd suggest watchdog lite, it monitors CPU usage and alerts you when a rogue app goes past the threshold

With Watchdog [I got the app free with Amazon app of the day]. How do I go about freezing an app through there?

I would just turn sync back on and do a logcat in the background while it syncs. That would probably show it. Most likely unless it's the Mail app or whatever that's doing the syncing itself, it's probably a core application in the android/htc framework that you wont be able to disable without crashing/bricking your phone as well. You could modify the file in that case perhaps if you decompiled and read through the dalvik byte code. Lot of work though for something I would probably just live with.

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for an app that allowes me to monitor the bandwidth usage in WPH7,
I can't find one in or outside the marketplace, does someone know an app like this?
Thanks!
I have a problem with my htc one m7. It seems that background data doesn't get turned on. I have the following settings:
mobile data: checked
limit mobile data usage: unchecked
alter me about data usage: unchecked
restrict background data: unchecked
sleep mode is also off
I use the stock rom with bulletproof kernel.
The app i use most is whatsapp. But i only receive messages when i open the app. When i play a online multiplayer game (which obviously needs internet connection) i do get the messages coming in.
I've searched on google and asked on another forum but i can't find any solutions.
Does anyone have a clue?
Help is appreciated!

I don't understand what you mean by "put all apps to Wifi".
I do know that if you have a wifi connection with internet access (no ! on the wifi status bar icon) and mobile data turned on, then the system will use the wifi connection in preference to the mobile data connection.
If you don't want to use mobile data, you can just turn it off in Settings>SIM & network>Mobile data or from Quick Settings if you have it there. You will still be able to get phone calls and SMS.

mate let me explain
I want to try the free Facebook, so I need to turn on my mobile data for this.
so I did that but I don't want other apps use any data in background so I set all apps to "WiFi Only" also I did that for system apps
but my problem is even when I do that, it's still showing that I'm using mobile data and something using it in the background.
it was working alright on the android 7.
thank you!!

Ah, now I understand.
I assume that you can't tell from the Settings>Mobile data usage who is using the data?
I don't know if this is off any relevance, but there's a number of apps that have unrestricted data access (Settings>Apps> Special access>Unrestricted data access).
Have you considered running a network activity monitoring app?

Damn shame Emui doesn't have within it's settings an option for "WiFi control history". Samsung does. , I was looking for it myself recently.

Ok what is "data usage this month"? I click more and I can then pick Mobile data or wifi. Then below shows me day, week and month. Could that help? Its under Wireless & networks,Data usage,Data usage this month. Now I never looked to see what is at the moment using WIFI.. I think thats what your talking about. Should be a APP for that yes?
