my diamod does not read sim...[/B]
the possible cause is that its sim tray is defected...
now i want diamond sim tray if anybody can help please reply a post....

when I turn my diamond tells me Sim missing although it is inserted.
Does that mean sim is locked? How do I find out which operator has blocked the phone?

You shoudnt be getting that at all - make sure its making contact - secondly try it in a few other phones and thridly do other sim cards work in your diamond?
i had the same problem, because the sim you can insert both ways.
check that you don't have the sim upside-down, the cut edge should be near the battery and not to the bottom, i hope you understand what i mean

Did you buy the device with this issue, or was it working OK? If it was OK when you bought it, what has happened since? Has it stopped working since you tried to SIM unlock your device?

some older sim cards are not compatible with htc devices
I would request the isp for a new sim card here they send them
free of charge as they would like to keep their customers
Hi everyone I am sorry if this has been covered before but could not find anything on this subject. Just got a touch diamond on the orange network put my sim card in but keeps telling me that sim is not inserted, but the sim works on my other orange phone, everything els seems to work ok, is there a problem with the phone or do I need to put a code in to get the sim working any idears would be greatfully recieved.

Is the sim card for Orange as well? Could be a case where the phone requires unlocking.

Is the phone brand new, or second hand. Try blowing into the sim tray incase there is any dust on the contacts. Also give the sim a wipe.
go to your orange shop and ask for a new simcard.
have had the same problem here with my phone: after a few weeks, my simcard wasn't recognised any more. Got a new card, and all works fine again...
Hello all, please help me...
I have a problem with my HTC diamond. When i put my SIM card in, it says "no SIM detected"- but it detect all other SIM cards from the same provider.
I put my SIM in 4 difrent mobile fones, and it works perfect, only in HTC dont.
PLEASE HELP ME !!!
I use my kaiser as usual, but suddenly the phone gone wrong, freeze then I must reboot to continue.(simple pull out battery)
After that, The phone refuse to recognize (or fail to recognize) SIM.
I checked SIM tray, replace another SIM but always the same problem, no signal or no valid sim inserted.
Did my phone was dead SIM tray?
I notice too, Radio rom was normal. I use rom 6.5.
For further information, i think i will post later.
