Does anybody have the .CAB files for WM6.5 that enables "internet calling" - SIP calls?
I've tried Fring but I really hate the user interface so having SIP natively in WM would be great!

Is there a reliable SIP client for my Tilt that can connect with multiple SIP service providers at the same time? (ie Skype and Vonage both)

I think you mean VOIP. SIP, if I'm not mistaken, stands for soft input panel, which is the software keyboard on your kaiser (the little one that appears at the bottom of the screen).
SIP also stands for session initiation protocol (similiar to VOIP)
Hi folks,
I have a friend who has the HTC touch, and he has an SIP option for VoIP..However, I'm surprised my Diamond doesn't have that option. What is the best solution to use SIP on the Diamond? Please advise..
I would prefer a legacy solution rather than an additional program. I want to be able to make calls from the regular keypad displayed in the standard phone application. thanks!
is there a legacy sip solution for Touch Diamond ?
on my Hermes, I have the "internet calling" option with SIP protocol.
I wonder if it is the same case with Touch Diamond.
If yes, does it support g729 codec ?
Hi all,
Since the Diamond (or Windows Mobile 6.1) can't run Skype, I went to try Fring.
Fring works, with an acceptable voice quality (Voipbuster SIP account) over 3,5G data and WLAN.
One question though to other 'Fringers': is it possible to have the SIP call audio coming from the phone horn speaker, just like when having a normal cellular call?
It now comes from the loudspeaker, so it's not possible to have a 'private' SIP call without using a headset.
With the volume at minimal, it's still remains loud enough for others to hear the other side of the line.
If this isn't possible, does someone know if there's a SIP client for Windows Mobile which can do this?
Thanks for the tips!
nope, this is a WM issue...

Hi there
I'm looking for a software that could enable me to make free voip calls from my PDA (HTC TytnII) to a Blackberry.
Since i want to have free calls, I need to use the same software on both devices; for example I could use Skype because the calls between skype users are free. Or I could use Fringe..but.... Blackberry does not support skype nor Fringe.
Is there any software for free voip calls between WMobile and Blackberry??
Thanks!!
hi,
I'm trying to solve two problems in my SGS working on 2.3.3 JVH, perhaps somebody can help me:
1. I want to add to my room integrated Android SIP client, but I can't find any which is working well. I tried this one from post 26 but it blocked my phone:

Does somebody have SIP client to this software version and can instruct how to install so that it can work properly ?
2. I would like to make video calls to person using Skype on his PC, but as Skype on Android doesn't support video calls can somebody advise me how to set connection or which application use to allow both sides see each other ?
thanks in advance
Google video chat works with gmail. You need a hack to make it work however.
For the integrated SIP client you need two things:
a permission file
(optional)modify framework-res.apk in order to be able to make SIP calls over cellular network
1st one is very easy, just take a look into this post:

Thanks for this advice.
I had done the same before but it didn't work.
Today I added the small file to permissions once again and it works
There is one more question now.
I thought, activating this function I would be able to call all the numbers from my contacts, but I see there is only possibility to call numbers which are specified in contacts at field "internet calls".
Is there any possibility to make SIP connection with other numbers which are saved in contacts or with numbers choosing from keyboard ? (e.g. others SIP applications like SIPdroid, CSipSimple have this functionality)

Yes, but I looking for something what allow me to make video calls with Skype.
By the way, Skype on iPhone has already this functionality :-(
Then ask Microsoft to release a real Skype for Android.
You can set the SIP caller to ask before making calls if you want to use your cell network or the internet.
