Successfully changed keyboard

I successfully flashed my HTC P4350 with the latest PDAVIET rom and changed the software and hardware layout to skandinavian keyboard
Here's how:
1. Download the attached cab file. It changes the software layout of WM to skandinavian layout. This will however kill the nice graphics of WM6. Anyone maybe able to work a bit on this?
2. Start total commander and add the following registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd]
"Locale"="0414"
Do a soft reset (hold the power button, dont touch that reset button with the stylus), and voila
Edit: "danish-qtek.zip" includes danish dictionaries for the standing text input and pocketword. Copy these to your \windows folder and soft reset the device
ehmmm did you create that cab yourself? Can you create one for dutch / us-int thats 413 I think
fantastic, works like hell...first sollution that I tried on the hardware keyboard that works for me...thx man

Sadly no, it's something i dug up somewhere, i believe it was made by www.epocket.no. It basicly just replaces the english files with nordic files from WM5. If you could find these files from another language and copy them over the english files in WM6, it should work.
I included danish dictionaries in first post now aswell
Dutch keyboard locale
After trying the official dutch 0413, it seemed to be an english keyboard.
So I use 0809 now, and the keyboard seems to be in order now.
For Dutch keyboard:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd] locale = 0809
thank you my friend
Sry, but have to ask...
How do you make the registry key? I got new key, new string value, DWORd and all sorts of options...

Removing languages from xT9

Hi all,
How can I remove languages I don't use from the default config?
I just want lo leave english and portuguese, then I will add Paul's vox cab after editing it to delete addtnl languages and just leave spanish in.
Thanks.
I just did what you ask on my device. I just delete all eT9 files that include other languages identification(e.g esp,rus,ita...) on their names from windows directory. You can also delete any unused registry entries from HKLM\software\tegic\eT9.
Here you will find what must to remove:
http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56107
I probably can't delete unused languages as it always say that those are located in ROM and therefore can't be deleted. I use S730
THanks both, I actually couldn't delete the files, wont allow me but removed the keys so I assume those files wont load.

Big files "EngDict.dat" and "EupDict.dat": what is their use ?

Since I upgraded my TyTN II to official HTC WM 6.1 ROM French, I noticed the following new big files in the Windows folder:
- EngDict.dat (947 Ko)
- EupDict.dat (1,49 Mo).
They are not system files.
I didn't install any additional dictionaries and couldn't find these file names in the forum or on Google.
Questions:
1) Does anybody also have these files?
2) They are obviously dictionaries (full of words) but what are they used for?
3) Can they be deleted without problems?
Thanks for your help.
I don't have either file in the Windows directory on my AT&T standard ROM.
I would consider renaming the files (or copying them to backup and deleting them.) I wonder if they came as part of another install you did.
They are the dictionary for T9

Hi misfitflt and jackleung,
Thanks very much for your quick answers.
As I don't use T9, I will keep a backup and then delete them.

Searching für Folder 2577 X1 Swisscom

Hello X1-Users,
I am searching for der Folder 2577 of an X1 from Swisscom Mobile.
Can anybody help me ?
Hello
I suppose it's ok if I write in english since this is an english forum. If you prefer a conversation in german (or even french) you can send me a private message.
You say you're looking for a certain folder on your phone. Do you know the meaning of "folder"? It's "Ordner" in german or "dossier" in french. If this is what you wanted to say then your're actually looking for a folder called "2577" on your phone. You can search the file system of your phone by using Resco Explorer or SK Tools (both aren't freeware). You can also use the free Total Commander but as far as I know it only provides a feature to search files and not folders.

[Q] can't open the files having accents in the filename

So again, my problem is that on my device (using Honeycomb, English) I can't open the files which have accents in the file name. I know I could rename them. I've been doing that. But I've got sick of it. Now, as I downloaded a book, which has the chapters divided to different parts, I decided not to rename all of them, but ask you if I could do something with the language, so I could open the files.
It's okay in English, I mean the main language, but couldn't I make the OS somehow to open also files having Hungarian, French etc. titles?
Thx in advance!
