Ok...I've been searching the forum for a while now and everything posted seems to assume that I should know how to install and set up new ROMS.
I have the fuze and would like to get a new ROM or even a different theme. I went to DL the advanced config tool but everythings going retarded on me. Can someone point me to a thread or help me out with a step-by-step guide from the very beginning.
TIA!
You appear to be in the wrong forum. You have the Fuze which is the Raphael, not the Diamond.
Check out the stickies in this section.

I have the AT&T Tilt and i want to know how I can upgrade it to the new windows 6.1. I contacted AT&T but they told me there is no update for it, but as i read through the threads, i see people that have 6.1 on their tilt.
delete this thread asap, before the flaming starts..
go to the first kaiser general page and read the sticky thread at the very top
research and search before you post a new thread

As AT$T said there is no update,
As he said above, if you had bothered to read at all you would realize that these are custom made 6.1 roms.
You will be able to tell, that there is little that, is more annoying around here, than someone coming along, without reading anything, and saying " hi guys , what's everyone talking about ? "

Give the guy a break his problem is obvious
oh man!
he wants to have WONdows 6.1
not Windows 6.1 cooked ROMs
you guys got it all wrong
C'mon people. Start at the top. The section that says "Sticky" is a good place to start.
1. Read, read and read some more. << This step is critical. You need to lear the steps to flashing a rom.
2. Hardspl << Another critical step. You have to perform this step unless you personally know moderator GSLEON3 and dont mind bricking your device.
3. Read some more until you find the rom you like. Noone is going to be able to tell you what rom is best. It's a users choice.

I have seen it so many times here before, but now i just cant find it?

You can find it in the Roll-up thread in the ROM development section.

you probably get this question a million times. i look in the begginers tutorial on how to install a new ROM and i went through the process fine with no problems...i think. it gave me the same rom as it first came with. i hope thats correct. Im just trying to find out which ROM is good and which ones should i stay away from. I was looking at the Cube rom and it looks good but idk how to install it?. where can i find it to download it?
Start digging in the ROM Development forum. Read the stickies and the wiki for instructions.
wiki
definitely read the wiki. a year ago, i was an htc noob, but now i am a flashing junkie. I highly recommend the flash via microsd card method, and the hyperdragon and phoenix roms.
welcome to the forum
have fun with your new HTC
hey, im sorry but im a total noob at this, but i wanted to find out how to root and load a custom rom onto my cdma hero...i was going to use the universal 1-click root...i would post a link to it, but since im new its restricted...i have 2.1
is this the best way? and once i do that, exactly how do i get the custom roms installed on my hero? also, what is the best/fastest/most reliable rom for the hero?
please exlapin in detail...as i dont know anything really, i just started looking into this the other night...
thanks
Hey, welcome to XDA! When you say "please explain in detail", it turns out that many people have already done this for you. Next time before you post, please use the Search function of this forum, and read the titles of some of the threads here. You can almost always find any answer you are looking for...without having to post a question that has already been answered day after day for hundreds of others before.
Ok enough of the lecture
This post here will be a great one for you to get started with. Should tell you lots of things that newbies want to know: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=717416
Ok, I am unsure if this is the right place to ask, so I apologize if it goofed. I thought about posting it in rom development, but I was unsure.
As I have noted before, I am now an amputee. Missing most all fingers on my dominate left hand and my feet. I am looking for a better rom for my Pure, one that will be easy to use. I have used several different themes that made things a little easier ( as suggested by some nice ppl on this forum) but I saw the 6.5.3 and think this would be much easier for me.
I followed so many threads trying to find a simple answer, but no joy.
my question is pretty simple:
Will this rom work on my Pure.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=528217
Or, does anyone have a better suggestion for a 6.5.3 rom to flash on my Pure?
Thanks!
Smoakeater
That ROM will not work as it is for the Fuze, not the Pure.
Have a look at this ROM.
I assume you have installed Hard SPL?
FYI, ROM Development section is specific for ROM development, General or Q&A is proper place for questions.
Oh, that looks groovy! Cool, what I was wanting. I have yet to install anything yet for flashing a new rom, but I will be soon. I have been pouring through some noob guides for flashing.
Thanks so much!
Smoakeater
You can select your Custom ROM from the ROM Development forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=486 for Topaz/Touch Diamond 2.
There are several that you can chose from .
Thanks.
