Hello to everybody..
I need a hand on my HTC S730.. I bought it three days ago. But it is full of operator TIM (Italy) customizations.. but i use Vodafone. the sim work correct but when I switch on and off the phone are some TIM messages.. so I want to know is there a possibility to install a general firmware to avoid all this. or another OS. If Yes how can I install this..

i bought a Orange SPV M700 when i've been in London to work, but now i'm living in italy and i would unlock to italian providers and debrand.
Is there anybody that could help me in this job?
Do i have to unlock first and then debrand(i found on ebay guys that sell unlocking software)with the italian ROM?
Could i use the HTC P3600(unbranded rom)without a previous unlocking?
Is it better to load the new rom with WM6 o wait for it and use the WM5 one?
I apologized for all these questions, but i'm new without experience in this field with this phone.

why shouldn't all your question not be possible?
it's only a branded rom not a different OS.
TomTom6 works fine on my german p1615 and allother wm6 software should do too.
also you can put on another rom, i did not, cause there is no newer german rom, and i preferred to use my phone in my native language, but perhaps an italian roms is released ?! try to search the board here

I'm going to receive the p1615, branded by vodafone like your phone. I'd like to use it with my italian sim, how did you manage to unlock it? is it possible to flash it and unlock it? I've already read tons of posts but I can't get the differences between the sim lock and the country lock, I mean, does vodafone uses a simlock on this device?

no vodafon do not uses simlock, i got my p1615 from a contract of a friends company and put in my call-ya sim. it works without any problems.
perhaps there is a netlock, but i don't think so, cause vodafon is very open instead of t-mobile (putting sim and netlock)

All ok. I upgrade the vodafone p1615 to new so wm6 and splashscreen no vodafone With sfotware includes: remote desktop, vpn, tomtom 6.030 and BBConnect for BES server email..

Hi all,
I changed the rom on my touch diamond at the beginning of the year to one found on this site, it was much improved over the original. However now I want to unlock the handset from UK orange to allow a voda sim.
I tried the HTC Uni Unlock V1 but said I had the wrong firmware. Am I right in thinking that I need to downgrade the ROM before it can be unlocked?
Also is the orignal uk orange rom the wwe me one?
You'd of thought someone would of created a free unlock code tool by now lol

ROM has no effect on Sim unlock. There is a SIM unlock service for the Diamond available on this forum. There is a free solution but its not on the forum - can't link to it or give name as i'll get a ban. Google it and im sure you'll find it.

First off, this site is brilliant!!!!. Im a newbie to this rom lark & I need some help. My htc touch hd was originally on the uk oroange network. I have unloked it & now have my uk O2 sim inserted. Heres the problem, O2 do not support this handset. Im trying to remove the orange rom & install a new rom that will allow me to access more settings on my phone. Can anyone please let me know how to do this?

Easily done mate, just unluck device and flash your desired rom. Basically follow these instructions

Also, a good rom to start off with would be one of NRG's, i.e. look at my sig
