Hello,Glad to find you
I turned off my kaiser and put the second battery i use and when I try to turn it on i get a screen with 4 horizontal lines (red, green, blue, white) and I can see on the top
KAIS130
SPL-1.93.0000
CPLD-8
and on the bottom
Serial
Why did this happen?
Do you know what I should do to make it work again?
I'm sure search would help, or the wiki/sticky.
Well,I searched and found
Kaiser_Stuck_at_bootloader
but in my case I tried nothing of these stated there,as it just showed these lines all of a sudden without me trying to change rom or something..
OK fixed, just dust was in the camera button, pressed it a couple of times, switched on again and everything ok

Hi All,
I'm facing wierd problem since yest.
Sceen of my VarioIII suddenly went white.
It does respond to taps and buttons and could receive calls.
I tried installing new ROM, It did intstall but screen is still white.
It could connect to PC and sync with outlook.
I did open the case and looked for the loose connection of flex cable but could not reach till LCD. But I did reach flex cable and did try removing its connector from main board and then reconnecting it. but this did not help.
Any idea what could be wrong???
Thanks,
Nishant
Odd......
I just spent 20 seconds and found a TON of threads covering this issue.
I just went to the little button that says " Search " and typed "Kaiser White Screen"
Found quite a few that could possibly lead to your answer.........
I will be nice and post a link for you
Here ya go.... quite a list
pyraxiate,
I did search before I post it but most of problems reported are different from mine.
It is different as I do get response from the screen taps and also keys and for that matter phone minus display is working normally. I even can receive calls.
today I've given it to the service center and the guy says they have seen it before and its the flex cable issue. What he told me that the Vario III is different from TYTNII and TYTNII cable does not work with Vario III as its bit width is different.
I was just wondering if that is true???
Thanks,
Nishant
same thing happend to me
Same thing happend to me 3 weeks ago.
It is also a Vario III. It happend when I closed the screen, it turned white but still responded to touch. I could hear the start menu sound when I pressed the upper left corner.
I opened the case to check the flatcable on the circuitboard but unfortunally it was still in place.
Luckely I order a premium insurance along with the phone so I called them and they replaced the screen. Thet told me something got fried inthere.
So my bet is you need a replacement screen.
Good luck.
Thanks!! I think I need those wishes after I saw atleast three people coming with similar compaint within half an hour. I also see many threads with screen issues.
Hopefully HTC will take it seriously...
Solved
Great news!!
Problem is solved.
The service center said the problem with LCD screen and will take time to get it. I decided to try the local guy and guess what, he said its not LCD issue. I was very skeptical and asked explanation but he refused to tell the exact reason. Finally dared to take chance. Within half hour he could fix it.
Only thing he told me that he checked voltages at some location and saw some issue but did not reveal anything else.
Thanks,
Nishant
I have the same issue. Sometimes screen goes white, or the screen gets covered with stripes untill it goes black...
I just got my NAM Touch Diamond today, and i've been using it all day. A little while ago, i went out for a short time, and when i got back home, i was flipping though my recent call list, and then i tried to go check exactly how much battery power was left.
The phone froze. Havent loaded any programs on it, except for skype, and the FM radio fix.
Well, i soft reset it the phone, and when it booted, i got the "touch diamond" black screen, but then i started getting all these weird multi colored lines on the screen. I could hear the little boot up sound, but all that was on the screen was the multi colored lines.
I soft rest the phone again, and it booted just fine.
Why did this happen? Is there something wrong with the phone? i can call and exchange it if there is.
Its got the factory 1.93 rom on it, i havent messed with anything yet.
Please advise, thanks!
Also, to be clear, its not that red blue green hard spl screen. it was thin vertical lines.
and it only did it that one time.
Any help is appreciated
some problum with cold boot maybe!! u shouldnt worry cuz it didnt happen again!!!
I've got the same problem. ROM Shaks.P v4.10 2.03.405.3 WWE; rdio 1.09.25.23
i dropped my HTC and the screen went black, i tried soft reset hard reset nothing worked. i removed the battery then turn it on it vibrated as if it is turnng on...but the screen still black!!
if you call it from another phone what it does it vibrate only!!
what do you think the problem is?
any solution?
thank you and sorry for opening such thread for this proble
screen black
Probably the internal Flex-cable is released. You must open the Diamond, removing the screws and see if the FLEX CABLE below SIM-CARD not this out.
Look for a tutorial to learn how to disassemble it.

My tilt is acting very nasty lately. Over the past few weeks, I noticed that when I turned on the display, occasionally I would get something that looked like the static that you see on TV, but with colors. I would just turn off the screen, and turn it back on to clear it.
Now it's gotten worst! 98% of the time, it intermitantly gives me a blank solid white screen when I turn it on. Occasionally I can just turn to screen off, and on to reset it.
I'm running OEM WM6.1, and I've tried to reinstall the OS, but it didn't help. My phone has taken a beating, and the top corner has had a small crack in it over the past 2 months, but it didn't effect the touch screen, or picture. I also took off the cover to make sure the cables were all snug, and it didn't help.
Any suggestions?
Something got corrupted. If you search WIKI, it's call the 3 color screen stuck .. and you're better off posting at thread below. I hope someone can give you help (if you follow those steps and still no good)
As rule of thumb, do a lot of reading first

On a second thought, it might be the LCD itself broken ..
Oh, believe me.. I'm not one to turn to the forums without doing research myself! All the research I was coming up with seemed to point to a slightly different WSOD though. I think you are right about the screen being broken. I've reinstalled the software, and it acts up even when booting up!
Unfortunately, I'm not impressed with ANYTHING on the market to date! If I'm unable to fix this, I'll just go back to a RAZR until the next gen WM7 phones come out. (With a tilt screen of course!!)
Oh, and even though the screen goes white, it's not stuck, as it fully boots up; I can hear sounds, and even activate the touch screen.
Also, I forgot to mention.. the first problem I started experiencing was that my tilt would go back from landscape mode! It was like the video board was crapping out. I could even see a slight flicker in the display from the refresh rate.
hi i think you may need a new Need a new flex cable ribbon as i had the same problem once
Thanks Tayzaa, I think you could be on to something. I'll open it up and take another look!
Hi!
is this problem solved?
WSOD is bug of Hermes. I would know if kaiser have the same WSOD-bug with D-pad?
Hi
I've just replaced the screen in my HTC TyTN with a ginue spare screen from HTC, but after installing the picture on the screen are moved a lot downwards and also to the left. I can't find any topics here how to solve this type of problem, so im asking now if any one knows if this can be fixed. The space in the screen where the picture should be are filled with white, if this can help how to solve it.
I will be very thankfull if any one knows how to solve this problem
/Mads
did you try screen alignment?
Go to start>settings>system>screen align.
cheers.
Yes, i did, but it didn't work at all, but thanks for the reply
Is it like that 100% of the time or just in Windows?
It is all the time, from when i turn it on and when im in windows.
Can you use it enough to back it up and try a reset? I doubt that would help though.
yeah, i can back it up. i will try it now and let you know how it goes
EDIT: Just found out that the bottons on the screen part and D-pad doesn't work. I've found some solutions in here, but I still can't get them to work. Does anybody know how to reset the phone without using the front bottons
