I did everything as necessary (video tutorial). Upgrade works fine. I restart it. And then... nothing, freez (sony ericsson logo). Every time. I tried many times, but always the same... freez, freez and freez.
Can you help me? What can i do?
Thanks
And sorry for my bad english
Hi,
If you flashed correctly, then your first step would have been to HardSPL your phone.
If this was done successfully, you can halt the phone in the bootloader, by powering down the phone, then hold the Power and Volume Down simulateneously, and keeping both of them held until the 'Tri-Color screen' pops up. If this is successful, download a rom that installs via the custom_ruu program, and attach your phone to your PC via usb. The bottom of your Xperia's screen will now show USB.
Follow instructions on the custom_ruu program to re-flash your phone.

I bought an X1 from second hand with a cooked ROM. I then tried to flash another ROM with RUU. It stucks in 34% then error appeared. Following with RUU's recovery instuction, it got same problem in 39%.
I then tried to flash hard-SPL again with succeed. However, the phone reboots then stucks in the SE Bootloader Screen and can not be turned on again.
I found a strange problem which I couldn't even enter to the tri-color bootloader screen when my phone handed on.
(my phone is Sony Ericsson X1i)
Thanks in advance.
I can't even hard-reset my phone.
I am waiting for my battery charged upto 100%. Hopes it work.

it can't be turned on because there is no OS installed on your phone now, take your sd card out and place an rom image renamed to kovsimg.nbh in the root of your sd card through te pc. put it back in your phone, just start and it will enter bootloader again, and (if everything gone as it should be) it will open kovsimg.nbh, press power button, and wait
Thank you for replying my post.
But the problem is I can't even enter to tri-color screen by holding volume down and power.
Any advice? Thanks.

I misunderstood you, tri-colour screen is the bootloader/SPL.
Your stuck on the SE logo booting screen..
I'm very sorry, but i really have no idea, how you could fix that..
If you can't get in the tri-colour screen, then there is nothing you can do.
sorry
maybe someone else can help you
Thanks for prompt reply.
But do you think X1 require 100% fully charged battery to enter the tri-color bootloader?
no it doesnt need to be 100% charged
What happens when you connect your x1 through usb with the computer?
Does your pc recognize the x1?
same problem, x1a dead , the pc recognize "Microsoft USB Sync",
If you've already Hard-SPL'd your device, chances are if your device gets recognized as Microsoft USB Sync (Even if activesync won't start) you can use the ruu_update tool to send the rom to your phone. This process (if successful) will automatically boot you into the tri-color screen approx 2-3 minutes in.
Hope this helps, and Good luck

I tried to do a TASK29 and somehow in the folder there was no task29.exe, so i used the ROMUpdate utility ..and asked me if i wanted to upgrade to somewhat ROM 2.0.0 (?something?)..(i thought that was part of task29 job...) and now my device is blocked in HTC white splash screen...
hard reset still same issue does...
is there any ROM Update utility that can be used without starting the windows from the phone?
or..what can i do to connect my phone to the PC?
i managed to do 4-5 ROM Updates without problems during time, but somehow..this TASK29 job did not work.
is it possible that i deleted the Operating system from the phone?

If am not mistaken, Task 29 did exactly what it should do which is wipe your device clean. Now what you have to do is enter bootloader by powering on your phone while holding the volume down button. If your phone is not off, do a soft reset by pressing the reset button on the side while holding down the volume down button. You should come to a tricolor screen and it will say "SERIAL" in the bottom. When you see this, plug in your USB and on the screen it should change from "SERIAL" to "USB". At this point open up your rom folder, click on the "Rom Update Utility" and follow the prompts and you should be all set. Hope it helps.

sorry. solution found
"if you fail to press vol down key and your phone get stuck on the white screen, just remove your battery, then try again: press power, and keep vol down pressed immediatly next, until the phone get to RVB bootloader.
When your phone is back to RVB bootloader screen, use the leocustomruu.exe provided with your favorite rom package to flash a new rom, or flash it from memory card using standard procedure."

Hi there i have rooted my phone with doomlord's latest rootkit for c6603 UK devices (you can tell im a noob), when installng and the opening he chainfire 3 app it asked me to install some graphics drivers and i did, it then restarted and then the loop restarted (turns off after sony logo, doesn't even get to xperia logo, then turns back on). I have tried several fastboot and flash methods but the problems still persists, does anyone know of any recovery or factory reset methods wihtout having access to your xz?
Thanks
1. Hold on boot volum up and power for 12 seconds i think.
Or
2. Charge the phone and see what's happening

charging it goes into a reboot loop then after a few times it displays battery meter...
ive tried flashing with flashtool but it comes up with "For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings", no idea how i gonna do that though, anyway to flash without this on? maybe fastboot?

I assumed you installed chainfire 3D app.
So, if you want to flash with flashtool, you must set your phone in flash mode.
Hold vol - when plugging the usb cable in (with phone powered off).
If you got the loop, plug the USB cable pressing vol - at the moment the phone is off.
And it may warn you about usb debugging, etc but just ignore it and continue anyway. Ive got back from bootloops with this regardless of unknown sources or debugging. Usually even when bootlooping the hard shutdown will work, hold power and volume up untill the phone vibrates three times and turns off. You may feel it vibrate once, ignore and keep holding.
You do need the correct adb drivers installed to use flashtool, the downloaf here at xda i believe includes them you just have to open the drivers folder, open the exe and choose your phone from the list. If you get into flashboot mode (when you hold volume up and plug it into the computer the led should flash once to let younknow its in the right state. Sometimes flashtool will take a long time to prepare the files for flashing amf your phone will start up... Let flashtool finish prepping, then it will come up with a screen telling you to put the phone in flashmode (usually giving the wrong instructions to do so, ignore them) if so, now go ahead and unplug your phone, power it down via the hard shutdown function i mentioned, then hold volume up and plug it back in. If you get the led flash its working, and if it wont then install its because your drivers arent installed properly.
Also i may be wrong, but the chainfire 3d drivers are for older versions of android, dont try to install them again. I did this on another phone that I had upgraded to jellybean and ot softbricked it. Jellybean runs ope GL fine on this phone.
Ive installed official frmware on my phone (through flashing) and now im about to root it again.
Thanks

I have kind of the same problem here, can you please tell me how you solved it?
Hi, I sorry to bother anyone, but I need help because my phone is not responding and I don't know what to do.
C6603, rooted, dual recovery installed, bootloader unlocked (I think)
So here's what happened. I very successfully installed the existenz ultimate rom on my phone. It was a wonderful rom and everything was going well. However, I accidentally dropped my phone and needed to send it for repair. Before sending it to the shop, I decided to do a factory reset using the option in recovery mode.
When I got the phone back from the repair shop, I wanted to install the same rom. What I did was download the rom installer and then install the zip file using the recovery mode. I went through the AROMA installer and everything, So I thought everything was going fine. When the phone rebooted, it showed the SONY logo, followed by a permanent black screen. The screen is on, it is just black.
I scoured the xda forums and I tried several things, to no avail:
I cannot enter recovery mode.
My PC cannot recognize my phone.
Flashtool cannot recognize the phone. My phone can't seem to enter flashmode, either.
I tried holding the power button and the vol. up button, and the phone does indeed restart (no vibrations), showing the SONY logo, and then I'm stuck with the black screen again.
I hope somebody can help me!
EDIT: I managed to somehow get flashmode working, so I think my phone is fine now! What a false alarm! In case this ever happens to anyone, what I did was to unplug the phone from any source of charging, then proceed to hold on the power button and vol. up button for REALLY long, I think almost 20 seconds. This managed to switch my phone off (it would keep restarting if I didn't hold in down long enough).
download stock firmware and open flashtool & ready to flash, dont connect until it say.connect your usb cable to ur phone, then reboot ur phone when display goes to black connect ur phone to pc whith pressing vol down ,then flash tool detect ur phone and it flash, sorry foe my bad english
Hey there,
I followed the guide on XDA to root my Xperia SP with the Towelroot app. The guide is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783885
I then rebooted my phone into recovery, and flashed the latest build.
I rebooted the phone and downloaded the latest Cynagonenmod 12.1 nightly build for the Xperia SP. Once downloaded I wiped my phone and installed the ROM using the TWRP recovery that I'd installed before. At that point I powered off the phone whilst I downloaded the Gapps package on my PC.
When I returned to my phone to try and turn it on nothing happens. It won't turn on or even load the splash screen when I press the power button.
When I hold the power button , the phone vibrates and nothing more! The reset button on the back of the phone does nothing either unless the phone is plugged into a PC. Even then, the phone vibrates 3 times but still won't turn on properly.
I have gone through the Flashroot tutorials over the last 3 hours trying to solve this problem but I've had no success.
I have found that if I hold the volume key down and connect the phone to the PC then the green light appears on the bottom bar of the phone for a period of about 40 seconds before turning off again. It then turns back on and repeats the process.
I am unsure what to do next. Sorry for the long post.
Any help is much appreciated!!
Flashtool progresss
Sorry for the bump but if this helps anyone that could potentially help me. Here is what happens when I try to use Flashtools to flash a stock ROM onto the Xperia SP.
EDIT: Don't worry I solved the problem. I instead used the PC Companion tool to recover my phone and it worked a charm!
I realised the mistake I made. I tried to install Cyanogen Mod 12.1 without an unlocked bootloader which is what likely caused the brick.
