Hi
on the top right of my device i have a flashing red light, this used to be green. My device seems to be working fine but id wondered if anyone what this light means.
John
on qtek 2020 that light means that battery is totaly empty!!!! (in my case was that) Or something is wrong with hardware!?? (bad cable, broken connector). Check all these! And don' t take any step of modding by your own! Take it to the service!

OK so i can live with the BT/wifi led as I keep them turned off mostly so the led doesn't flash. But the right led, the one that shows phone status is so bright and really annoying. At night my whole room flashes green!!!
I've followed the regedit in the wiki and turned off the led which was wonderfull, but as soon as I connect a charger the led comes back on and then flashes when the charger is removed.
Is it possible without taking the BA apart, to permanently disable the green led?
I keep a bit of blu tac by the bed and each night cover the led with that. Simple but effective.

registry hack suffices in most cases :

I've seen some video in which when the phone is booted up, there is a led light at the top left corner ( opposite with the charge light ), but I dont have it on my phone. Can anyone explain ?
I think that may be the LED for blue tooth i could be wrong so don't quote me. I have only ever scene the LED on the right light up with a little info on charging status.
you can see it because is a infrared ligth...... it only shows like in videos and pictures
Thats the proximity sensor. Like the poster above said, its infrared so can't see it with your bare eyes.
On my HTC One phone there is a red light which is constantly on. It is on the screen near the upper left side. I've closed all apps but it is still on, quite confused anyone able to shed some light?
Have you changed your phone at all eg unlocked and put custom rom / kernel on?
That red light is the charging light. Not sure why it is always on. Id suggest a simple power off and on should sort the issue for you. Looks as it if has got locked in some sort of cycle.
So, I was trying to replace my Nexus 5s camera and I disassembled the main motherboard. Replaced my camera and everything but after I reassembled the phone, I found out that there's no display. The LEDs work fine, because I see them light up and I see that the screen is black but it's a bright black and the screen is on. So after tampering with it, I found that the little USB charger port wire board wire thst connects just above the battery (idk how to describe it, its the orange strip that locks the battery in place) had a direct correlation with the display. If I unplugged it, the screen would go dark and off. If I replugged it, it would be on again. After doing this a few times, I actually got my phone's display to show for a little while before it went away to black again. So will buying a new orange strip part work or would I have to go to the bottom where the little screen digitizer is? I'm sorry if the problem is unclear because I really don't know how to say it or explain any better. Please help.
Hey there hobbyists and experts.
Recently I wanted to play around with my old phone. The Sony Xperia Z1 C6903. Rooted it, flashed a custom ROM on it, and so on. I noticed a spot on the display that didn't register my touch inputs so I decided to replace the display, digitizer and the frame. After reassembling it, and plugging it into the powersource, it didn't explode :good:.
But it didn't display anything on the screen. I only noticed the status LED.
- Sometimes it flashed blue. (Not Fastboot)
- After leaving if plugged in for a while, it turned solid yellow.
- When I tried to turn it on again, the LED flashed red and then afterwards purple.
Does anyone of you have an idea on what the problem might be? Or any clue on the LED signals?
Should I disassemble again, and check every wire?
Thanks in advance.
