I have tried a number of the Sense UI ROMs and have been unable to find one with Bluetooth working on my Rogers G1 DREA21000. When I go into wireless and turn on bluetooth it just never turns on. Is there a Sense UI that has Bluetooth working on G1? Sorry if this has been asked I have looked and looked and burned many ROMs to no avail ...

I think it's a matter of time for our smart devs to port it to G1

Been using Manup's 2.1 for several days and after a few tweaks it is rocking. Anyway, I finally got around to trying to add my Yahoo via IMAP as I have always done and "TLS when available" is now no longer one of the options. Basically you have none, SSL, SSL/cert, TLS, and TLS/cert. Anyone else seeing this or have a Email.apk that does offer it and works on 2.1?

So you say, but it hasn't always been that way, and it is this BS logic that keeps killing threads around here and why some are looking at other forums for answers. Very FEW look here to answer actual custom ROM questions (vs. things you could search for) and this just dooms these threads. It's a stupid reactionary response to all the newbie questions over there. Oh well, I will go ask elsewhere.

I have 1successfully rooted my EVO with unrevoked. Now my brother wants me to do his Sprint HTC Hero
Here are my questions.
I see that there is an download, but his radio is 2.42.02.10.29 and this is not listed. Is this an issue?
Is there a downside to having to use this unrevoked forever?
All that he wants is to do is get a bigger SD card so that he can move his apps off his phone and put more on his SD card. Is this possible? Even without rooting?

Mods please place in correct thread. Also if you go to unrevoked's website I'm sure you will find more info there to address your concerns regarding the radio. Also try google searching it should have more than enough info to help you out as well. I've never used that method of rooting but I'm sure you will receive better responses if you post your questions in the proper thread.

I have tried google and I have gone to the Unrevoked website before I came here. I have not found the answers to my question, that is why I came here. If you had directed me to the proper thread (as you suggested) maybe my problem would be solved.

Of course he can get a new sd card, but moving apps to sd requires root... As for the root, the method your talking about only works with the .29 radio, so to get s off you would need to downgrade the radio to .27 using RUU and then root, if you want.
Edit: you can then upgrade the radio after you s off unrevoke it. Theres a flashable .29.
Edit 2: there are much simpler root methods, I created a thread full of links, click my name and check it out.

But until you did he might have found the answer to his question on the website or threw google. Well mostly I was just messing with you. I have done the same thing, told a mod to move the thread (by using the report feature) and then left a slightly more mean response lol. The only difference is the mod pmed me. He told me to just answer the question, report the thread, etc. No big deal, really I was just messing. Dude if you post in the wrong forum some one here will tell you. You posted in the development froum. Your question clearly had nothing to do with development. Thats why its a q&a thread to post a question and to receive an answer. And if your modifying your phone google is your best friend. This is good advice. Had you had posted your question in q&a there would have been nothing to post about what you did wrong. And as far as being referred to google everything that duce or even myself would have told you would be on google. Its been many,many members who have had the same problems and most if not all have been solved. In my opinion in most cases google search is much quicker than reading threw thousands of post. In short glad you got it worked out.

if that option existed, the developer section would not be missing all the links to custom roms
you can add some hacks and play around with some workarounds, but only a semi alpha rom exists which is for development only. and hoping others could find interest in how i made to create new roms with locked bootloader if possible.

You kidding ? The first post has to be explicit about the features, you say ThinkingBridge Launcher and there is nothing in the rom. I don't care if the Nexus 5's version got the launcher, moreover the bootanimation in the video is missing too.
And about the softkeys, i'm not gonna read all the thread without knowing if the answer is inside, there is a Q&A section so I use it and dont talk to me like a **** because you're a developper. I appreciate your work but your work is to answer questions too.

Everything that's in the first post is present in the rom. I can do nothing if you remove the built-in launcher when installing GApps containing GEL.
And about the softkeys, there is a second post written by me about all the bugs and fixes known. Not that hard to read a few lines and you wouldn't have a question.

Especially if the question you have asked is already answered in the OP (yes, even though it's the 2nd post, it's still the OP)
Furthermore, you don't have to pay for anything, everything on XDA is done for free, which means you have no right whatsoever to demand anything. Every dev can write whatever he wants (as long as it's within the rules) in his OP, but as far as I can see, @Adam77Root included everything necessary, even workarounds.
