EDIT: Whoops ... I thought I was posting this in Galaxy Tab 10.1 forums....
Spotted on Androidguys.
The official Facebook application saw an update last night which brings a number of new features and improvements. First up, the new version (1.7) now works on Android tablets running Honeycomb although it's not necessarily optimized for the experience. Users will find some of the changes (pull to refresh, easier sharing) are more obvious than others, however we're digging the overall progress.
Facebook 1.7 features include:
Made it easier to share with who you want
Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the web site
Added the ability to tag friends and places in posts
Added new design for Profile and Group Walls
Fixes and tweaks:
Improved photo browsing with swiping
Added the ability to tag your friends in photos
Improved Messages and Notifications
Fixed a number of crashes and performance issues

I'm sorry, i should have mentioned this. It's completely based on IE
Everybody who couldn't install yet, try this:
1. copy the zune-link i sent you.
2. write a mail to yourself.
3. open it on your phone.
for the 12 folks that are already in i sent a mail to their live-inbox.
hope that solves the installation issue.
Installing got no problem.Try google you tube it's quite fast and manage toplay video without any problem. The only thing I must get used to the tab.Well so far there's not any bug yet .
When I make a new tab it seems I can't search when I type xda developers it says ERROR Invalid url.I think every tab that we make if possible make to the home page.

BETA tester
My response from BETA-testing. (Note: Even if you have posted some bugs I'll still fill my list with what I experience)
Phone: LG Optimus 7
Status: Works perfectly!
My current status: Stopped BETA testing.
Positive:
100% fullscreen
Customization!
Live tile with information about current session!!
Slide up the URL tab on fullscreen to get to normal view without fullscreen.
Fast web browser
Share page function (lovely!!)
It's now my official MAIN browser!
-
-
Things to maybe improve & suggestions:
First startpage is google.de, could have been google.com (but nothing special actually)
Maybe you could make your own videoplayer to play eg. youtube videos on, instead of using the phone's player (not required since the videoplayer of the phone is also good)
Also have the abillity to press the favorites url instead of only the visit button at the bottom. But keep it.
Maybe slide with 2 or 3 fingers down on the screen for entering/exiting fullscreen mode?
-
-
Negative and or Currently found bugs:
When entering fullscreen mode, it's hard to get back to regular. I had to tap like 5 times on the black button at the bottom left. (hard to use the button)
If the application opens without internet connection it will say ERROR, no network available. But it does say it when I change to other menus such as settings (keep spamming ERROR everywhere)
Theres no suggestion of websites when entering a url for eg. if you enter www.fa it could show up some suggestions like facebook or failblog.
-
I'll edit this post with more when I find
thanks for that wonderful feedback, so much inspiration
some response to the bugs:
- i'm currently working on the suggestionlist, shouldn't be that difficult.
- for the fullscreen-button i got a new solution, what should make it much
easier.
- the Network-check must be fixxed, thanks for your discovery.
@Ttblondey: search function is now included
I have given my review here and video review here.
Overall I found the app to be very nice and smooth. A good alternative for sure but there are few things you can look into except the bugs which is already reported.
1) One is integration with skydrive for syncing bookmarks etc.
2) More Gestures
3 ) Open up option for both Google and Bing as search engine.
4 ) cookie turn on and off.
Rest is all good, keep us rolled in beta.

could you sent me this app? [email protected]
thanks
Please read the first post carefully
I would like a "Search for text" function in the functions menu Would be awesome to be able to search for words on a page
And else I can say that I'm really happy with the browser, works well, and hopefully soon releasing? Because then you could like update with small minor updates incase something is needed
Happy New Year roqstr!
there's a search for text function ;O it's just not my own at the moment, a provisional solution,if you will
Yea, but i always find features that shouldn't be missing in the release-version, to make it working right
next week i'll be busy with school, shouldn't fail my exams
afterwards, i'd be able to release an open beta, just for some extra feedback
next step is fixing last issues and then i'll release ;P
if somebody do have experience with apphub, pubcenter & co, he can pm me to help me understanding
thanks, hope you all enjoyed New Year's Eve, i did ;P
Still waiting to test this thing
it looks nice, can't wait for release :O
I wrote a browser, based on IE its in my signature.
I'll be happy to test your browser and get better result to my and your app.
Biggest issue at the moment is the picture-viewer, but I hope I can handle this soon.
@sma6871: I'll test it and message you when I have questions or suggestions.
Unfortunately I forget to set trial mode, but now I send a trial mode enable update, and it will be up to date soon.
open beta out now. read 1st post!
Here is my feedback :
1.Dropdown to switch between search engines
2 Where did Advance Main Colour Gone ?
3. When I try yo change Main Colour Accent Colour it gives me sorry message "You Should not Overwrite the accent style"
4. Find Text Crashes the app
5. You can think of ignoring pics which are of very small size in the Picture view.
6. Picture viewer also picks up YouTube thumbnail as picture but does not display anything.

v.1.8.0
What's New
Streamlined Gmail Login
It's no longer necessary (or possible) to enter a password to login to Gmail.
Instead, when a you check the box to receive notifications for an email account, you'll see a dialog asking to grant permission to Pebble to access the Gmail account.
Once permission is granted, that dialog will not appear again in the future unless the Google account is removed & re-added from that phone via the Android account settings app.
This will solve issues with 2-factor authentication. You no longer need to enter an application-specific password—simply granting Pebble permission will be sufficient.
All who were experiencing Gmail authentication issues should update to this release and re-enable Gmail notifications.
All users will need to re-authorize with Gmail. Email notifications won't arrive until after you've un-checked then re-checked your email again to login.
Developer Features
ACK/NACK broadcasting. When a Pebble app receives a message from an Android app, it will send an ACK/NACK back to the phone. This will now be broadcast back to the Android app that originated the message.

The beta 2.0 I don't see the list if installed apps like prior. I can only presume it's a bug.
Connectivity seems good.
The fonts on in calls are bigger I think? But it may be placebo affect.
I'll play with it bit more.
I don't like that I can NOT see installed apps on pebble app with beta 2.0

Just noticed also the other pebble apps I'm trying to install are NOT installing, maybe that's why I can't see anything in the apps to see what's installed BC nothing is being installed.
That's for sure is a bug.
Back to the stable version.

Don't mix versions! 1.x watchface and apps are not compatible with 2.x firmware and vice versa. You need all on 1.x or all on 2.x

What about stability?

2.0 is perfectly stable. Just can't mix 1.x and 2.x.

Is that for every pebble or just original or steel one?

Pebble app with call reply
Hi,
Does anybody know if there is a chance to have pebble support to repply to the calls with a meesage.
Ther ar default messages which are set, but can't be used to reject call s with a message.
THX,
Siminhu
I see your excellent post. This is a great job. By the beginning of 2013, the products began shipping and by 2014, over 400 000 units were sold. By 2016, that number was already two million units. But it's 2019 and, chances are, most people don't know what a Pebble Watch is. Pebble was ready to take world by storm with its line of smartwatches.
To speed up your mobile chrome/ chrome beta app turn on these flags. If you run into any issues you can reset to default. I would try the changes on the chrome beta and leave the stable chrome browser alone until you get comfortable playing with the flags on the beta
1. Type chrome://flags/ in the URL address bar/ search box of the chrome browser....relaunch the apps via the relaunch option at the bottom after the changes. browser will be super fast after the changes
2. enable override software rendering
3.enable experimental canvas features
3.gpu accelerated svg filters
4.enable webgl
5.enable web audio
6. enable webrtc
7. show auto predictions
8. enable favicon sync
9. enable keystore encyrp.
10. enable spdy/4 alpha
11.enable javascript experiment
12. enable experimental webkit
13. enable offline cache
14. enable experimental websocket
Not sure if it is placebo, but it definitely feels snappier! And I think the pages are actually loading faster as well.
It does warn that any changes can compromise security, and that all apps with access to the browser will be affected/enabled by these changes. Food for thought

Why would "Favicon Sync" and "Auto Predictions" speed up Chrome?
Would some of these affect battery life positively or negatively?
it is always recommended to check if a change actually as a positive effect on things.
Good, works on opera too.
For me on slow EDGE much help enabling "Disable hyperlink auditing", freezes gone.

They're not going to be configurable on your version of chrome because you have a newer version that more than likely has these enabled by default and doesn't allow that to be changed.
Many of the options are not available on current versions of chrome, however the ones that are are still helpful. The original date of the post was mid 2013, quite a few chrome iterations ago. I'm assuming there has to be another thread dedicated to a more recent iteration of chrome, however I'm not sure where. You may also want to check out the canary and dev channels of chrome (i know they're available on desktop versions and due to wording on the Android version, it makes it appear as though their available on android as well). If these are available on Android, you'll probably have to download them directly from the canary or dev channel pages.
EDIT:
Chrome Beta is the equivalent of Chrome Canary on Android and will more than likely have far more customization option flags
