Hey guys I need help.
I know there was an app that converted pictures you took of a page and converted all the words from the page into text, so you can email it/text it or whatever.
Does anybody remember the name of this app?
Found it, apps called SnapIt. Thread over.

Yes dude but again it prompts 2 download pics from internet
You cant, i saw it in the review of wm6 for smarthpones on www.mobile-review.com, maybe if some people find registry trick to always download pictures, until then u cant do that.
Hey OP,
Did you get a answer to this problem? It's annoying as heck!
did anyone figure out how to automatically download internet pictures?
i'd like to know as well as HTML is almost useless since you have to take extra steps just to get HTML on one email.
Hoping someone figures out a work around for this.
has anyone figured this out yet?
Uhh..
Soooo.. it's been almost 2 years since the last post.. has anyone actually resolved this yet?
Guys,

I found this using Google. I searched "xda-dev sms contact". Maybe it can help.

Oh, and please be more creative with your topic title next time ;-)
I created a desktop direct messaging app to call my boss, with a pic of an angry boxer dog. Made the pic as a gif and png with transparent background, although it's showing up as black on the desktop for some reason. I assigned the pic as the app's icon using Gallery, and I suspect that it's converting the background to black, but I cannot find where app pics are stored either on the SD or /system.
Any clues?
Really?
Nobody knows?
Only users here?
Dont know about the others, but I have these questions for you:

An App? Do you have a link to it? Do you mean a shortcut ?
I infer you're assigning a picture to one of your contacts, and have a direct dial shortcut on your home screen.
If its a google contact you can add a picture on the web too, https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?shva=1#contacts
Dont know if it supports GIF images.
Correct, I'm assigning a picture to one of my contacts, and have a direct messaging shortcut on my home screen. No idea where these are stored.
Can't use the G**gle method, as I do not allow any G**gle apps on my phone, much less GMail.
I've got to think these are a symlink somewhere and have a thumbnail associated with, maybe in some ADW directory, but I've looked everywhere.
Amazing. The location of app icons is a mystery.
its probably in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/, managed by the contacts app.
Why do you want to know where the contact thumbnails are stored?
Does anyone know of an app that can edit the OPEN WITH or SEND WITH list when I want to do something with a picture or file?
I've downloaded many apps that add their app to the list of SEND or Share with... the list is 9 or 10 apps... I normally only use 2, maybe 3 (SMS, my Corp Email or Gmail...) I don't need twitter, facebook, bump, online this, online that...
I'd love to have an app that could remove items from that list... like a right click context editor I have for my windows machine...
Any idea of an app? I've searched play, but can't seem to find any...
Point me in the right direction and I would be eternally grateful!
Thanks,
Tim
Is anyone else having issue trying to do group messaging from your contacts? Before I upgraded to the Nexus 6 from the Note 2, I would go into my contacts (or Messages) and Select a group contact Like "362nd Soldiers" or "Coworkers" and be able to send a message to that group of people without having to manually select each and every person. I also noticed in messages, when I click on attach it goes straight to my camera and does not allow me to select another contact to send info or perhaps a pdf or excel file or an email link. This is vital in all facets of my life, reserves and my civilian job. I do not want to have to download an app for such a basic function that was pretty much automatic in all other phones. Am I missing something on how to do these basic functions or do I just need to get a different phone?
I tried searching the forums but I get anything other that what I am searching for and I have to go back to the main page of the forum and search Nexus 6 and go back to the main forums each time as well. The search function here is horrible and forget trying just to go right back to where you were. So I apologize if this question has already been answered.
