I have a question about the split screen custom panels. I am trying to install custom roms on my xperia but my question is: Will i loose the split screen feature with a custom rom or does the panel botton still work as usual? Or is there a custom rom out there that has that feature? I love custom roms because they actually come with useful programs

Panel button will still work as normal. Use the flashing guide (sticky at top of thread) and try flashing a custom rom
Make sure you backup your emails/contacts etc beforehand.
You can always return to original rom afterwards if your not happy

Hi all,
I am a new user to PDA phones and I have read through the wiki about this cell,
but I still have sth to ask.
1. What is Manila?
2. How can configure or add themes and tab icons in the TF3D?
Please give me a hand in starting to know more about the machine, Thx
Someone can expand or correct, this is just how I understand it to be.
1. Manilla\Rhodium = TouchFlo3d interface from HTC. It will be called TF3d as well.
Titanium = Windows Mobile 6.5 overlay that is turned on and off via Start\Settings\Today\Items\Windows Default
2. use TF3d to search. So search 'add tabs tf3d' and see if that helps.
Thanks for the answer,
I also see that there is a lot of topics about err,
upgrading the official ROMs into Custom made ROMs,
Is there anything I should notice about upgrading ROMs,
and also wt is the advantage of using 'em?

read the stickies and make sure you know what are the steps to follow to flash a rom. follow them literally. if you don't you might "brick" your phone. when u get used to flashing, the process will be easy to follow, just take your time getting used to WinMo before flashing.
Moving from a stock ROm to a Custom ROM is easy and worth the 'risk' in my opinion. You can find all you need within the Wiki to get started with the flashing of HARDSPL. You will then choose a custom ROM and then flash that ROM to your device. You will lose all data on the phone so make sure you sync before you start.
I personally am using the Energy Rom 3.0 series and I like it.
A cooked ROM or a custom ROM is created by a person (usually with a ROM kitchen) and it removes items the cook thinks are not needed and they often add in tweaks, programs and graphical enhancements.
Some people are looking for a custom ROM that makes their device fast, while others are looking to maximize their TouchFlo3D experience. I persoanlly use Energy ROM because it is Windows Mobile 6.5, it contains Titanium (the WM6.5 touch friendly interface) and because the cook put in plenty of programs and tweaks that I would do on my own.
After I install the ROM, I do go through and install all my own programs. Not every cooked ROM will match your own needs so that is when people begin cooking their own ROM within a kitchen.
I have downloaded the kitchen and attempted to cook a ROM but I find using someone else's is a bit easier.
MSVC is Microsoft Voice Command. So when you are looking for ROMS you might see that acronym.
if you already have a rom installed, how do you go about changing it to a new one?...sorry if this is a simple question xD. roms are just very new to me.

on what rom are you: stock (original) or custom rom?
and what kind of rom do you want flas?
in general: rom sticky section is where the info for both rom kinds and how to flash them can be found
Generally, from what I noticed (and used) It seems that ever developer posts a from scratch guide to install their ROM, or at least posts a link to the "from scratch part" Generally, find the ROM and follow their directions. Doesn't matter too much what your coming from... You can always just be safe and start from scratch until you understand it a little better. Devs her are awesome like that.

i am using |X|6.5.5|ROM|WWE| ★ Energy "Leo" 23542/21892 |Mar 5| ★ Sense 2.5.2012 / MaxManila ★.
i dont want to change my rom yet, this one is pretty awesome, except for battery life. But, if i want to go back to the stock rom, would i just transfer it to my sd card, and follow the steps that you do to every rom?

It all depends on your taste. Some people are vegetarians some are non-vegetarians, while some are eggetarians...
Point is each ROM has its good & bad. See what each ROM has to offer from their developers thread & select what you want.
If you feel custom ROM is not your cup of tea & you prefer stock roms only, then there are custom roms based on Stock likethe one am using, Clean Note (there are plenty more) try them..
Finally if you do not want to flash any custom ROM & prefer to stay on the Stock ROM but would like to improve performance, visit the thread in my signature which will give you various guides by different people.
Hi. First of all, I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask about this problem. Anyway:
As in the title, is it possible to make a "stock-like" rom from a custom rom? I mean, something that pass safetynet controls without the need to be rooted.
This will solve a big problem to anyone that, like me, own a phone with a virus in the stock rom (like Nomu's phone), and have a clean custom rom aviable.
My specific case concerns the custom rom in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/nomu-s20-gps-problems-mic-volume-ota-t3613748/page6
Thanks
No one can just say if it is possible?
So im looking into ROMs for my 10s and sad to see no resurrection remix ROM available. What ROMs are you guys using and do you ever think we will see RR on the 10s?
Actually using Miui 13,
Waiting for a custom rom that won't get blocked
I'm content to simply debloat for the moment, though I am keeping track of the ROMs that are available.

I'm not bothered too much about bloat. My main "issue" is just wanting to use touch gestures with a 3rd party launcher and I thought if I'm going to have to go though the effort to flash something I might as well go full out flashing a new ROM but I've learnt that there's not much in the way of ROMs on Mediatek devices which is sad so time to start thinking about a new device I guess
